  1. Very nice minifig action, and love the colors. Nicely done!

  3. Fantastic sub in both color and design. I also like the angle you chose for the sub, it gives the scene some action!

  9. Really cool story and I love the four beams converging on the specimen. Great work!
  10. Very cool drill, and it has the perfect Octan Corp feel to it. Well done!

  16. --------- Start Log ---------- I have been speeding along the outskirts of this swamp for hours. I was told by the eggheads at corporate that it would be easy to see the rivers of awesomnium running out of the swamp and into the water system. So far, nothing but swamp, swamp, swamp. If I do not find anything soon, I will have to find a spot to camp for the night. I was hoping to have found the source of the river flows and reported back to HQ by now. Oh well, looks like a nice night for a campfire! -------- End Log --------- The splash behind the speeder is inspired by Keith Goldman. All hail Lord Business and the Octan Corp.!
  17. Hey everyone, Glad to be part of the team and can't wait to start building! First question to the team (this is my first time doing something like this, so forgive me if these questions are obvious): Is it smarter to send everyone to the same planet or to have teams of players with different tasks? I get wanting to race to the big planets, but we also want to expand our territory, which means all the planets around the homeworld must be ours as well. Should we have an alpha, beta, and delta teams, one racing to important targets, another expanding the territory around the homeworld, and a third that explores without final goal. Just asking the question to see what everyone thinks. All Hail Lord Business and the Octan Group!
  18. This sounds like loads of fun and exactly what I needed to spark my building fire, I am in! This is Jacques LaRose, explorer for the Octan Corp. : Born the son of an Octan Group VP and a Paleontologist, Jacques knows the ins and outs of the company, and has a thirst for adventure and exploration. He is always looking for the next undiscovered land, and is always on the move, looking for the next great discovery!
  19. This is not a new thing in the LEGO custom accessory world. I have been making 3D pieces for at least three years now. I use Shapeway.com to print the designs, and the pieces are usually no more expensive than specialty pieces sold on Bricklink. Here are a few examples: As others have said, the quality is below injection molded abs plastic parts, but for those who can look past that it is a wonderful tool to create things in our favorite hobby that cannot be found anywhere else. At some point in the future, the quality will go up and the cost per unit will go down. Until then it is a specialty tool, but the only limitations are technical skill in modeling and your imagination. I have created everything from headgear to weapons to wands for Harry Potter to a minifig scale zippo lighter. There is a bit of trial and error in the sizing, but once you zero it in it is very easy to make something new.
  20. Pennas2000 - Thanks, I drew all the decals myself. The decals are not for sale, but I do have a few extra Warrior figs. Feel free to send me a message if you are interested. Gnac - Yep, all nine Warriors are in the scene, as well as custom figs for the AC Turnbulls, The Lizzies, The Rogues, Riffs, Punks, Hi Hats, and Boppers. See them all here Thanks so much!
  21. Thanks, I agree with everything you said. I lived in NYC when this was filmed, although very young. The Furies scene was shot in my section of Riverside Park (even though the subway said 96th street it was actually 72nd street) and my mom worked for Grand Central Station in Public Affairs so it was her job to oversee movie shoots in the stations. She was there for the filming of the skater scenes! I love everything about this film from beginning to end!
  22. Thanks everyone, glad you like it! Sorry about the HTML, I copy and pasted from Flickr. If you want to see the scene just go to youtube and search "Cyrus Speech".
  23. It has been a while since my last movie scene, so here is a big one for ya! Can You Dig It!!! This is the opening scene of the Warriors where Cyrus gets shot. It is one of the greatest movie monologues of all time. fun facts: number of minifigures in moc: 292 number of gangs: 36 number of shmails custom figures: 143 More photos here "Can you count, suckas?" Enjoy!
  24. Here is a bug I found while playing with the Lowell Sphere shapes: Not sure if this is a new bug or not, but it is a big odd. 1x1 plates and tiles do not fit, but the round plates do.
  25. In no way was I trying to say that those that do like the new look are wrong, only that to me it is disappointing. I would have updated in two patches. The first would erase the design by me functions, then, later on when the palette is perfected and beta feedback is positive a second one that updates the palettes and other functions. The more you try to pack into one update, the more that slips through the cracks. I agree that this new look may appeal to newcomers to the program. That does not mean they could not have added a go between mode. LDD would remain as it was, with basic bricks and items available from PAB. Extended modes is what it is, and there would be a "dream mode" in between with fantasy bricks that are in the database but not available to the public. Seems logical to me, but I am one person, not a corporation trying to appease the masses.
