  1. A LEGO CITY Bank? Sign me up.
  2. As a set, this is easily the least awesome out of the six. Maybe because you can put the other five together in a city/town setting and together and look great, IMO this does not fit in. I do like the siople minifig though :D I will still buy it though, those new hueg plate pieces are of interest to me, as well as the dark red roofs.
  3. Nice interior job there! I like the kitchen setup the best, so clean.
  4. I only have the totals from 2010, As I documented everything starting this year on Excel. 25199 pieces In 2009 I re-started my collection with some heavy hitters Cafe Corner and Green Grocer... So that's 30000+ pieces right there since september 2009 O_o Who knows how much I had as a kid?
  5. very nice. Very art deco.
  6. What can I say, it's absolutely awesome.
  7. Thanks for the comments! Yep it's a small one, especially compared to my black farm SUV. Since this one has the body of a car (cop car) maybe it makes more sense to call it a crossover? lol
  8. EDIT: I accidentally obliterated by "thanks for the comments" reply! :(
  9. Klaus-Dieter seems more like a classic-town kinda guy, so in a setting where buildings are built in 6 x 16 footprint size, a 6-wide truck is already massive; an 8-wide is in turn gargantuan. (note: our "6-wides" are actually 7-wides thanks to fenders, and more when you count side mirrors, but Im talking about the frame of the vehicles, so for all intents and purposes that new cop trailer is 8-wide)
  10. Brilliant. If I had a gripe, it would be that gap in the baseplates in Center right, but that's a minor gripe nonetheless. The old style definitely matches the charm of the official modular sets.
  11. So, will the since-2005 7236 Police Car still be available as well? because I love that thing.
  12. That new mobile command truck is definitely a step back. This one looks stubbier, and doesn't have the little police building as well. Those who want the 2008 version should get it now.
  13. I would add mine in the future, but I'm afraid all I have right now is cars and buildings---no infrastructure to speak of. I'll probably start 2011 buying 20 sets of roadplates though... Great idea, btw. We can be awesome and put other town destinations in our Train stations, for example!
  14. I saw copies of this baby in San Mateo CA 2 weeks ago. Other than that, this is also around the same time last year when Cafe Corner started to do the disappearing trick as well.
  15. Wow! This is amazing! That takes perseverance and determination! (and money and time!)
  16. I'd rather not see a farm set again... ever. Because it's... a farm, and thus shouldn't belong in a CITY line. I doubt a hospital will come in mid-2011 (I think it will be more civilian, like the past 2 years), so I'd love to see a bank. We don't get a whole lot of banks in town sets (was there any in CITY since 2005? dont remember one). Maybe a CITY'd version of the modulars (dept. store, grocery, cafe).
  17. Bought this (and toy shop) days ago. I will not miss these again! *shakes fist* Wonder how much those clear 8x8s cost on BL?
  18. Thanks for the new comments everyone! It's also my favorite vehicle MOC of mine!
  19. Alright, that's what I'm talkin' about! I love every aspect of the building, from the color (cop stations don't have to be black/white/blue!) to the size and the interior.
  20. Space shuttle is utter crap. Stupid Playmobil nose... those new 6-wide windshields---absolutely fantastic. I can already see myself trying to collect those new pieces... Looks like the new police station is like the current one rearranged and a few pieces replaced here and there... And it's pretty good looking.
  21. ^These are just "CITY" sets Big modular buildings sell so damn well (sans Fire brigade) it'd be stupid for them not to continue the line...
  22. Regardless, GG stocks are dwindling, best get them while you can.
  23. Reminds me of the good old days! I saved your lxf copy
  24. freakin.... sweet. Loved the movie, and I like this MOC alot! Nice the way you had perspective down (smaller scale farther away)
  25. I'm particularly fond of the kitchen setup there. nice packing of details there!
