I had a feeling this was what you were talking about, but they've made Deatheater and Deadpool before, so why not?

Just out of curiosity, what would hold them back from calling him Deathstroke?

What Video Game(s) are you playing?
Freddy Bricker replied to Lego Spy's topic in Culture & Multimedia
Ah yes! I am in love with any and all Gen. 4 games, as it was my favorite of all Generations. Unfortunately, I can't seem to find any of my old DS games, I think I'm losing it I am currently playing GTA 5 and The Last of Us. I love both games, though the plot for "The Last of Us" seemed shaky for the first few cut-away's, it all seems to make sense now. I have to admit that adjusting to controls outside of my hand-held reality, is really fun and quite the journey. Now if I can just find more amo, shoot those cops, and smuggle that infected child across the city.nThis is the joy of gaming. -
Yeah, I'm not too thrilled with a Tumblr D2C. Then again I'm not too thrilled with the idea of Batman filling up this theme, but it appears they've been going and will continue to go that route. So long as it's horrible, and I get to keep my money! Jokes aside a part of me thinks the "Tumblr" the Brickshow reviewer (was it Jason?) was talking about is actually the very large (Tumblr-like in size) Batmobile from Arkham Knright. I believe most won't see the resemblance between this large new Batmobie from Arkham Knight and the Tumblr, though they both seem rather large to me. It would suck though, because IF we got any set from any Arkhm game, Lego has my money

Favorite: Spider-Woman, I signed up for last years Yahoo giveaway of the minifigures only to find out that the wording hadn't fully gone through to my skull, and there was still some things I needed to do to qualify. I wanted her so bad, I mean wow wasn't she a beauty? I don't know very much about her, but I do know that she must be in my collection! Least favorite: Hmm, this one's tough, haha just kidding, I despise the upcoming Storm. Why? I feel the eyes were done strangely and she could've looked so great with a new piece, a mohawk (ok, so I said I thought the mohawk would look terrible, but I feel now that it actually would've looked great.) I also think I would've bought the Mos Battle of Smallville set had Faora been given a different face. The printing on her was just phenominal.

Why can't Disney make movies for everyone? This movie looks better by the day, definitey watching it days 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 of release

Monsters University was incredible, I loved it through and through. However I haven't even seen Cars 2 yet, so what do I know?- 279 replies

I wanted to start reading Superior Spiderman in regular issues and not trades, but my local shop is currently selling issue number 1 for $25. This is the same reason I haven't been able to catch up on Justice League, or any other series for that matter. On the bright side, they seeem to have all of the New 52 Animal Man issues without a serious mark-up. Thank the lord I'm not a huge Batman fan, since issue Number 1 is selling for $50+.

So I went to my 'local' Lego store (over an hour of a drive) and surprise surprise, they had no more Martian Manhunters in stock. They also had 3 Grand Emporiums left, and lucky me, I didn't have enough money, I was expecting to have enough and by one by the time I got there. This review did nothing but remind me that when Lego does give some variety in these sets, they come out, like this. I hate to be the sour puss, but Lego really needs tdo something about this. It's a monthly giveaway, why did I have to go in the first week or two? Also couldn't order online since I'm in the middle of a move. *Sigh*

Why did it have to be so! I'm a die-hard purist, and I loved that piece! Hopefully we get a second Ultra Agents wave next year and Toxita gets this hair-do (du, doo?)

That Polaris looks great, and just out of curiosity, when was the female hair piece released in green? I'd love to own that piece in green.

Agreed, perhaps it's just the way I was raised, but after seeing a cameo of Hourman ONCE in JLU I deemed him my favorite hero. I asked for his large action figure as well. Perhaps it's because I wasn't that young, but I was a huge fan of Red Tornado, Stargirl, Hourman and Black Canary during JLU's run. Perhaps my fondness of Hourman will return this year (what with him getting his own show and all ), and I'm just hoping these past few months won't be the last time Stargirl appears in the New 52. However I can't see myself getting over how amazing Black Canary (or any other Bird of Prey) is

Everything about the Teen Titans in the New 52 was ruined by Scott Lobdell, not DC. For some reason, they let him take his own liberties, and since the book sold (likely for the title) they let him continue. He also ruined Superman, which is inexcusable.

Unfortunately, Ionix got the license. The molds look amazing, and the Pokemon really do look to be up to Lego standards, though Pokemon like Pikachu and Chespin look a tad strange, and these Ionix figures are just horrible. I really want Lego to pick this line up, though. I can't think of a set I wouldn't buy, oh boy do I want Lego to make Pokemon sets.

I completely agree, the DC cinematic universe is already so frail as it is, what's going to happen to them if this movie bombs? They're putting too much hope into Zack Snyder, it's too risky. Ah well, out of respect and curiosity I'll go see Sup's first. Hopefully Cap 3 isn't that good
-
Let's hope you're right. Plus it's not like they'd be all alone, they'd be side characters in these sets anyways. Here's to being optimistic

What should excite me about SDCC? Possible limited-edition figures? Or the preview for a set that is probably going to be a Batman set? Again, the more that is said, the less appealing this theme gets. And yes Green Lantern is a high probability for next year, but again, why wait4 years to get him?

It's going head to head with Superman vs. Batman? Best of luck to Warner Bros, wondering who the villain may be?

Why can't every company be run this way I would bring back popular retired sets and begin to make "Evergreen builds" similiar to Evergreen themes. For instance, plenty of people missed out on the Beast that was the 2007 Eiffel Tower. I would make the Eiffel Tower a recycable set that appears on shelves every 2-4 years like how Star Wars sees the Millenium Falcon ever so often. This way, plenty of Generations could see famous Landmarks and builds come to their home and not shell over double it's price on the secondary market. I'd also give consumers more information about the way we (TLG) retire sets.

I'm not expecting to see her in a solo set, or even her specifically. It just baffles me that they can't even throw her (or any other hero) into a Superman set and call it a day. I ask this because I don't think it would drown a set. And if I'm lucky to have seen Aquaman and the Flash be the only non-Batman hero's released in their respective years, if 1 new non-Batman character a year is 'lucky' then what should I expect from their slow years? The more anyone says about this theme, the less I like it. It's my opinion, and I'm just stating it. DC collectibles and plush toy and belts and clothes and pins seem to throw GL around plenty of advertisements and merchandise, why can't I even get him once in this theme? He's the freaking Green Lantern. I'm not asking for Simon Baz or Katma Tui (though I would gladly buy both) I just want a freakin' Hal Jordan. Or anyone else. Just please get Bruce away from me.

Unfortunately, after googling "Arrow costume" and " the New 52 Green Arrow" I have to confirm that the 2013 Green Arrow exclusive looks identical to the New 52 version. Hope that doesn't meen we still can't have him in classic form, but what are the odds? If the (dare I say) popular Green Arrow gets subjected to be an exclusive for some 300 con attendees, then what are the odds of ever getting a Stargirl? At this rate we won't even see her in a video game! I'm starting to really lose my interest in this theme. At least I'll give it one more year, DC lost my grip (Lego wise, I'm still reading) but lets see what Age of Ultron brings to sets. Hopefully this year Flash and Hourman shows (both of which excite me more than Arrow or Batman, though Arrow has proven to be good so far) can do wonders for Lego. Would 1 non-Batman set really kill Lego?

I can't express just how much I loved Saving Mr.Banks. Yes Walter is in it but Walt Disney is not the main character of the film, P.L Travers (or Helen Golf) is. The film was touching, to say the least. I don't know anyone who's as crazy about this movie as I am.

As in the one from Vertigo? It looks great, though the Spidey villain and Vertigo character are the only two Sandmen I know from comics. Hope to see more Vertigo characters in the future, the League of Extraordinary Gentlemen should be fairly easy to do.
