They should use a less obvious name. It is great to see the sets though. Maybe when we have better pics the Ghost will look more interesting.

I agree that Tolkien is being a bit vague after going back and rereading some parts. It's not the first time he has done this. I attribute this to his desire for the reader to use their own imagination. I think we get too focused sometimes on being exact in terms of what we require of theses sets. TLG I believe takes a similar approach to Tolkien leaving some things to the imagination of the builder. As these sets are based on the movie, not replicas.

Actually I believe the wind lance is in the lake town set. Which is why we were talking about it. You know the thing Bard shoots Smaug with, in the movie.

My understanding is the orcs and wargs are considered separate armies in the term battle of five armies. The eagles fight but are not considered an army in of themselves. The orcs and wargs are considered the enemy of all thus uniting the men, elves and dwarves. Perhaps the term battle of four armies would be better suited but then again I'm not Tolkien.

It's funny someone was complaining about a few posts involving the windlance which is actually in a set. Talking about hoods it definitely more interesting. For full disclosure I'm not wearing a hood, but then again I'm not,an elf.

The windlass is the mechanism to,draw back the bow, not the name of the bow itself. You can also find a windlass on a sailboat to raise and lower the sails for larger boats and for the anchor. So it would be like referring to your sails as windlasses. Sounds like the Bo5A could be packed with lots of goodies. But at that price hopefully many multiples will not be required. I am interested to see the Lake town set, the bell tower could be nice and perhaps there will be another building as well.

I am thinking no Minith Tirith either. Though maybe the missiles could attach to Denethor. Blast off! Osgiliath sounds more likely to me as well. But more ruins doesn't really excite me. Really the only things I care about getting is the witch king with the fel beast,Eowyn, maybe Gothmog and a mumakil. The rest is gravy and frankly at this point Ill be happy to get anything.

I think if they do Minith Tirith it's just going to be the courtyard. Maybe of the crowning of Aragorn. Maybe. A Pelennor fields set seems more likely. And frankly more interesting.

I think the two ships sold extremely well while the other sets did poorly. The ships helped to keep the line from sinking as it were. So I think that yes it exceeded expectations but not well enough to stand on its own without a direct movie tie-in.

Why would anyone listen to you? I am pretty sure if someone wrote TLG to complain their response would not be to stop whining. Thankfully TLG knows about serving its customers and don't just ignore them because they cannot agree. The only person you are convincing is yourself. Certainly not the trait of a business person. Yes some people are passionate about this topic and have every right to speak. And there are plenty of us who do so in a positive light. So once again I ask, what do,you,have to offer other than to,point out everyone's flaws, the very thing you accuse people here of doing in regards to TLG? I think the term lead by example comes to mind.

Why exactly are you here? I haven't heard a single positive idea or thought uttered by yourself? Let alone any ideas about future TLoR sets. If you would like to preach about business perhaps you should start a new topic since obviously none of us including those of,us who are self employed seem to not have a clue about. Perhaps you could add to a discussion rather than judge everyone. That's my contribution. What is your going to be that doesn't involve name calling? I think it's very likely that TLM is playing havoc on TLG's schedule.
