  1. Might more sense too if there are mainly generic minifigs so you could buy multiple sets for your army.
  2. Well maybe if lake, town is the largest set then perhaps 79016 and 7 will be for Bo5A. And I too hope Smaug looks fierce and not like puff the magic dragon.
  3. I agree it doesn't sound like the largest set. Unless the 3 buildings are fairly substantial. It's interesting that lake town will end up with 5 buildings. With a few extra sets and some creative bricking, could make for a very nice display.
  4. Yes the armored version would be awesome.
  5. Darth Vader Santa, yes! I do hope his helmet is red.
  6. It all depends on how he looks. Guess we should be happy to have him at all.
  7. Cats and dogs, living together, total mayhem.
  8. They have been since December keeping some of their prices at retail. Toys-r-us was bought by Bain awhile back. They were given a certain amount of time to halt their declining sales and start turning a profit. I imagine we will see more of retail prices at TRU but not sure it wil keep them from being liquidated.
  9. Isn't that the game from office space?
  10. The London toy fair starts tomorrow. Maybe we will hear something of interest.
  11. Delaying the game until October wouldn't make much sense. Not right before the last movie, which is not included. Plus they are going to want to release the last portion probably in spring/summer of the next year.
  12. Months like December being so,late in the year and not the normal month we see releases might just be added later in the year. As for no TLoR sets this year there is a chance, albeit small. TLG could have an exclusive hidden up its sleeve. Something for the summer to wet our appetite and let us know what fate had befallen TLoR. I still hold hope for a winter 2015 wave but seriously doubt we would see a wave for,TLoR in December. Illogical, no. It's not like major retailers get a catalog in the mail and just place an order. I'm sure if something big is missing they are told to expect something later in the year. You have to remember business is fluid, things change all the time and both retailers and manufacturers know this.
  13. http://www.theforce.net/story/movie/Episode_VII_Rumor_FullSize_Millennium_Falcon_Built_Waiting_To_Move_To_Pinewood_155519.asp This says its full size 1:1.
  14. Indeed. As children the cantina was a very cool place and it was fun to have anything, connected to it. I know some could care less about ponda baba, but you have to remember its the vast array of characters that has been a part of why Star Wars is still big today.
  15. I'm glad I wasn't drinking something when I read that.
  16. Regardless there are plenty of other figures that have their arms broken. My brother destroyed most of his Star Wars figures as a child, not to mention all the gi joes who suffered much the same fate. Most likely ponda baba would not be the first to have a missing arm. Plus what others do with their toys is up to them, one can just pretend without breaking anything.
  17. Well for people like myself who have only recently come out of their dark ages it,would be sad to have missed out. I haven't been too interested in Star Wars Legos due to the high concentration,of PT sets. But now that is,changing and I am very excited to get sets like the cantina which as a child was always a very fasinating place when I first saw it on screen. Also as a parent I see a good deal of children who are discovering Star Wars for the first time and who get a chance to build these sets. After all ultimately it's these children who TLG is building the sets for, who every year are newly discovering Star Wars for the very first time. It's a great feeling and reminds me of my childhood and how I was excited to get the millennium falcon, slave 1, etc. The consequence of doing anything for a good deal of time is you will always see things repeated.
  18. I have a question, how much of OT and PT will we see in episode vii? Which craft will still around and would it be advantageous to feature such vehicles in sets before launching into the next trilogy? Obviously there are those who are passionate about either trilogy, will that be taken into, account? In terms of people it's going to have a greater impact due,to time. But there would be locations and such that could very well still exist. Will cloning still be going on? Will the look and feel of episode vii reflect OT, PT or will it be a blend of both? In terms of why we are getting these exact sets now is part of the strategy to link to the next trilogy?
  19. Well if the +2 new minifigs doesn't apply to the cantina that means the squidwards could be,three separate figs.
  20. Another question is since the winter wave has been pushed back is than effecting the rest of the years release?
  21. From what I understand the sandcrawler is not an USC. At least not for,the the retail price,of $299.99.
  22. Well my intention was to tie it to sets we will be getting later this year. In terms of why we are getting these exact sets now. Obviously there is a strategy, but, does that strategy link to future events? Maybe no one cares, lol.
  23. Well I will try to make the OT PT debate relevant. It terms of the sets for the coming year do people think that they might reflect what we will see in episode vii? I guess the really question is how much of OT and PT will we see in episode vii? Which craft will still around and would it be advantageous to feature such vehicles before launching into the next trilogy? Obviously there are those who are passionate about either trilogy, will that be taken into, account? In terms of people it's going to have a greater impact due,to time. But there would be locations and such that could very well still exist. Will cloning still be going on? Will the look and feel of episode vii reflect OT, PT or will it be a blend of both?
  24. Well this is board is about Star Wars. The opt comparison is between OT and PT. I have no doubt there are movies that recently have more cgi than PT. But they are not trilogies that have been around 30+ years nor have the fan base that OT has. Not to mention the fact that people like myself grew up watching and playing Star Wars and still enjoy it today. When you compare OT and PT they are very different. PT looks like a cgi nightmare in comparison to a very well established trilogy. When you compare story telling and character development OT once again comes out well ahead. Lucas himself said he wished he could have done more special effects for OT, but since he could not he spend more time on the story and characters. And the movies show it just as PT shows his obsession with cgi won over his ability to tell a story. People take it very personal because for many it represents a great deal of their childhood.
  25. Jar Jar is the worst Star Wars character ever. Only reason to have his minifig is so you can cast him into sarlacc.
