  1. My,point is he is less interested in the line. It is at the end and time is very limited. Someone who is familiar and interested in a line is going to pay more attention.and ask very different questions. Yes he saw a structure yet didn't give any details.
  2. No offense to Huw but he couldn't even remember the names of any of the minifigs except one. He is not exactly a Hobbit expert.
  3. Me too. But I am glad it's going to be big. And mocing the outside would be easier than the inside.
  4. Sounds about right, expect it was previously mentioned that the Erebor set is of the inside only. With hidden treasure rooms and the like.
  5. Yeah I was referring to the bear form, sorry, which he would most likely take in a battle.
  6. Yeah the council of Elrond is nice, not thrilling but nice. I think it's way too small and doesn't do Rivendell justice. A much larger set showing off more of the beautiful architecture and not just providing a sitting area would have given the set more playability. It,could have easily been the largest set of the wave and I think done well.
  7. Apparently Beorn will play a major role in TABA, so depending where he is would determine what set he might appear in. http://uk.movies.yahoo.com/why-character-beorn-become-real-hero-hobbit-trilogy-103000776.html And with PJ driving the bus it's anyone's guess.
  8. I mentioned that awhile back about the only way we would get a brick built Smaug would be via a D2C set. I think it's possible.
  9. Maybe it's bigger on the inside, like a big ball of wibbly, wobbly timey whimey stuff.
  10. How about Super Duper Agent Troopers from Space!?! I think it's a little early to really judge these sets. Some are still preliminary and minifigs were notably absent. Plus it appeared that sets were just randomly placed next to each other creating visual chaos.
  11. They could also have plans to use the mold for future variations of dragons. Perhaps a future Vikings line or more castle dragons. But then again it is Smaug, probably one of the most famous dragons today. He certainly deserves some special love if he is going to look awesome. Sounds like the second hobbit set was missing, which might be why Huw thinks there are only three. Plus all the info is based on the memory of those who perused the whole lego gauntlet. A D2C would be great of an exterior of Erebor. Another possibility would be a larger Bo5A set if we see nothing in the largest set in connection with the battle. And that is only assuming TLG is putting much weight behind the actual battle. They may just be giving us outliners letting us come up with the battle ourselves. If there is a D2C set I would much prefer a TLoR set for, many very obvious reasons.
  12. I agree, but they would probably recognize hammerhead and ponda baba just as well. And it's really no different than the children who can name all those random vehicles and ships that appear for two seconds on screen. I think kids realize there is a vast array of characters in Star Wars and have the imagination to play with even those that some deem obscure.
  13. Yes because children today are very familiar with Figrin D'an and the Modal Nodes. Wonder if they were ever on sponge bob?
  14. Its the longest commercial for Legos ever. It should be fun!
  15. Its amazing that Elrond, the witch king and Galadriel are in the smallest set. Those minifigs alone should make it very popular even if they just throw in some random pieces. The Lonely mountain set sounds very intriguing, i really like the idea of hidden treasure rooms. But being an interior set will mean less potential for Bo5A. Basically one set seems dedicated to the battle, which could mean some might not get their armored ________. Everything sounds good so far, have to wait for the German toy fair for pics.
  16. Yes indeed, corrected. Thank you. Yeah I think someone mentioned a halogram previously. Doubt the emperor is hanging out on an ISD, especially without his guard.
  17. It was taken by the designers of the table, which is not unusual at all. But they probably shouldn't have it on their web page. I wouldn't be surprised if it disappears.
  18. Star Wars I saw set 75052 £69.99 New Dewback in olive green. The Advent Calendar will have an Xmas tree droid and Darth Vader Santa. Imperial shuttle and mini tie fighter. Festive fire with a lightsaber holder and lightsaber on the side. 75055 Imperial Star Destroyer comes with a microfig of the Emperor. 50% increase in price over the original and part count is similar. Less of a technic build inside. £119.99 The price increase is referring to 75055 ISD.
  19. Lothlorien. While the prancing pony would be cool, it doesn't have the same potential to be an awesome set.
  20. I'm not surprised by the size of Smaug. Unless they make a special set just for him he would always be too small.
  21. Pics not allowed at the London toy fair.
  22. In AUJ the witch king is wearing a crown and the only similarities to RoTK version is his robes.
  23. That would be cool, but aren't video game exclusives usually variants of minifigs and not completely unique?
  24. Yes I believe those who pay outrageous prices for minifigs are going to have to be more cautious in the future.
  25. I know, I'm just trying to stay positive. I would much prefer the RoTK version. Seems wrong to not get Galadriel, maybe that means she will appear in another line, hmmmmmm.
