  1. The fact is, if you can't get it now, you aren't going to get it for Christmas. Good thing I ordered mine on October 4th, just 3 days after launch.
  2. It's available from mine, too. But reviews have already sprung up, so I wouldn't be surprised.
  3. I think I might have the reason pinned down pretty darn well. In the DK LEGO book, it says that part bags, instruction manuals, and sticker sheets travel down chutes to an attendant, where the finished boxes are moving along on a slow conveyor belt, and he/she puts all of the goodies in the box. Now, if you have a nice employee, who actually cares about the quality of the sticker sheet and the instruction manual(s), he or she may neatly place the sticker sheet inside the snug and protective pages of the instruction manual(s), and then places it at the bottom of the box with the part poly bags on top. If you have a bad employee who couldn't care less, then they just shove everything in the box and make sure it all fits. I think that explains your situation pretty well.
  4. I'm sorry, but I must say that Toy Story is overrated. I like regular minifigures, not this extended-leg crap. Onto your point about "Woody needs to be taller than Buzz", I don't know really if that was the reason that LEGO designed it like that, but that is what they did with Jack Stone, and it failed. Clearly it has been shown that straying away from the traditional minifigure design is not the way to go. In the interview with Jamie Berard in the T&T forum, he said that LEGO was going through their current list of parts in production and making sure that none of them were too specialized, referring to how versatile they were in creating other things with said pieces. Well, they have completely ignored that with all the Toy Story figures. I would like to see a decent use of Buzz's Jetpack or Woody's head in something that has nothing to do with Toy Story. Or all of them, for that matter.
  5. Those figures are hideous. Bleh, look at those Jack Stone legs... Oh well, at least the severely awesome Toy soldiers aren't affected.
  6. It's no problem, really. I returned that sucker and got a fresh one for free. Actually, when I bought my 8401 City Minifigure question in July from Legoland Carlsbad, the sticker sheet was safely packed inside the instruction manual.
  7. It is a coincidence, I bought another City Corner yesterday and three stickers were missing, plus the instructions manual was severely mangled.
  8. It's a great set... Lots of Navy Blue and Metallic Silver. A work of art. Very good set!
  9. Well, since really all of the sets have been discontinued (Service Station, Harbor, Container Stacker) except for the Cement Mixer and Recycling Truck, don't you think the others will follow suit as well? IMO, I think the cement mixer should have been thrown out in favor of the Service Station. I mean, even as an AFOL, I had at least an hour of fun running the yellow car through that awesome car wash.
  10. No. In fact-- I have heard this story before! The details are all the same: 1. Kid plays LEGO Batman video game 2. Kid wants LEGO Batman sets 3. Shop at Home proclaims, "Sorry, this item is not available in this country: United States" 3.5. Off to Bricklink! 4. The parents say, "Too much!" But in all seriousness, the Batman sets are not going to return. As others have said, Bricklink is your last hope, and even there the prices are inflated. Go to Walmart and buy those plastic drawers. They come in many different sizes!
  11. Sorry if someone has already found this, but while browsing the internet, I found a code for the U.S. that automatically grants $5.00 off a USA LSAH purchase. The code is: BSCV29
  12. The Coast Guard Patrol Boat and Tower is still available in the US. I wouldn't count on sets being discontinued after not being on the shelf for even a year, take a look at the Coast Guard Platform, Coast Guard truck and boat, and the Police Pontoon plane. They all came out in 2008, and they barely lasted eight to ten months.
  13. That makes no sense. To submit the image in the first place, it has to be on your hard drive! I see what you mean, though.
  14. I may do one if my local TRU has them in stock later in the week. If I have time to write one, of course!
  15. That makes sense. At first I thought that too- what was that thing pointing the curtain up? None other than the bell tower. For the people who have seen real pictures of the set- may you please stop being so vague? Can you at least give us a little more info or even a picture (that would be !!!)? I don't really mind if you can't speak English that well or if you can't give away any more info due to confidentiality issues, but if you could, that would be nice. No offense to anyone. I'm not saying you have to, but if you did, that would be nice.
  16. I think I may have found a picture of it, but the model is covered by a black blinding curtain with a white Question mark on it. For those who want to know, it is from the video were Jamie Berard announced the Emerald Night. Here it is: Sorry for the low quality, Youtube, MS Paint, and Photobucket are all contributors to that.
  17. Hi Jebediahs! I would really like it if you could make me two of these wonderful sig-fig drawings for my two sig figs, seen below! If you have time, of course. and
  18. Oh yes, I remember that! Here is the photo, strait from the largest LEGO City 2010 gallery:
  19. -Wheeze-
  20. I think that might be the hospital "gym". My local hospital, err Holy Cross, has a gym in the physical fitness center with dumbells, elipticals, you get the idea. Great, another thing that is missing from TLG's meager hospitals.
  21. Why is everyone running over and praising 9364? For one thing, it's open-aired and has no roof! Second, it looks like a cross between a relief outpost and a drive-in American movie theater!
  22. Not quite the same, but it makes me think of my City Corner 2 MOC with Convenience store, LEGO Outlet, and Taxi station: link.
  23. I got this on my way back from a cruise in Europe (Eurodam, ) on Lufthansa World shop. I had a vague notion that this set might be special, . They come around and sell the sets about 3 hours away from your destination on little drink-style carts. The also have a variety of cigarettes, but I'm not interested. My air show plane is hung up over the farmland in my layout (which is located in my son's room): The Ice-cream stand has been moved downtown:
  24. The cargo train is readily available from my south-Florida TRU. I wish they would sell the passenger train instead. The Cement Mixer from the 2007 transport collection has been discontinued (luckily I bought a copy a week before, phew!), and I can only imagine that the Recycling/garbage Truck will soon follow suit. What puzzles me was that the harbor was the first set to be removed for the collection-- why would they take off the big sets first? Also, I really think that TLG should remove the Service Station, the Cement Mixer, and the train station from the city flash site. One can only imagine the disappointment a child would feel if they excitedly saw the set and quickly clicked on the "Check price" link and ended up finding out that the set is no longer available or in production.
