Well, I think the reason why TLG makes over-sized boxes is because big boxes attract kids like magnets. This creates the feeling that the child thinks he is getting more bang for his buck -- but he really isn't.

When is Green Grocer expected to be removed?
-
It's still available from Toys R us online. Hurry up and buy your copy!

I like the new regional plane, it is 6 wide now and includes low landing gear! Though I wish they would make an orange plane....
-
Yes, there is a yellow pushback tug included inside, and the tow hook probably uses some kind of technic part to attach to the plane.
-
HOLY MEGABLOCKS! That's a lot!
-
Hi, is a pig include in the farmer set? Anything else?
-
I said at the top of my post that none of those pictures are new.

Hi Eurobricks guys and gals! I was digging a decade or so of pages back in this particular forum and I noticed that there was a "Best and Worse 2008 set" topic, so because 2009 is coming to a close in a few months, I would like you, the Eurobricks members, to choose, in your opinion, the best or worst set of 2009. My 'best' set would have to be the 10199 Winter Toy Shop. It had some excellent structures and a lot of extra trinkets (bench, toys, and the various accessories). The toy shop itself had a good interior too. The worst set in 2009's lineup? Probably the 7642 Garage. I mean the structure is awful, made up of about twenty or so columns. It's even open aired, so it doesn't really look right. Plus, in the bay in which the gargantuan tow truck is supposed to reside has two major problems: 1. The tow truck doesn't fit very well inside, and 2. The floor is not a garage bay-style baseplate with a smooth path. This makes it very hard for the truck to reside in smoothly. The included office is also much too small to be of any use. And to add injury to insult, the office is not open in the BACK, but on the LEFT.

Well, maybe they do have more interesting bricks, or other themes, but they are made out of inferior-quality plastic that is nothing close to the quality of Lego's ABS. No offense, but you are going to do a review of a clone brand set on a LEGO fansite? Seems kind of contradicting. And no one seems to be angry that Best-lock almost directly copied LEGO minifgures?
-
Hehe, I have more! The images with the Star Wars language watermark belong to Eurobricks member ForceMaster.

I don't get why everyone is getting all hyped up about the Lighting Repair truck pictures, they have been out for a while. I also have these: These are strait from my gallery on Brickshelf, which is unfortunately not Moderated yet. I have much more pictures of all the sets, so if you want me to post them, just shout. The pictures with the Russian writing are not mine, but I have them in the gallery so that people can see some real-life shots of some of the sets.

Okay, so I was in my local TRU getting my Bricktober brick, for week three. I was picking up my Combine Harvester when... Out of the corner of my eye I see not MEGA-BLOKS, but another brand called something along the lines of "Inter-lock Bricks". They even had minifigure clones with real skin and the legs were enlarged! It was a direct copy of LEGO! Then I saw it. Oh, it was UGLY. IT WAS... K'NEX BRICKS! Okay, we aren't copying anyone.... ACK! It's hideous! How can they blatantly copy LEGO like that? I mean look at those horrid figures! Direct copy! This is just bad. And to top it off, they even hint at the possibility that they are "compatible" with LEGO! Okay, now that my rant is over, feel free to present your honest opinions.

New Japanese LEGO Bricks x Paper Products!

What, is TLG trying to expand into the arts and crafts market now? -
Made from 10184 Town Plan, I see... Nice MOC!

What is Your Favorite Modular Building?

I apologize-- I lost my temper. Sorry. Now, let us get back on-topic! -
Not very likely. TLG has shown us AFOLs before that they have a three-year release "schedule" for Fire and Police, so I see no chance for new Police sets, especially since the current police sets were released in 2008.

Well, we have two new impulse sets to discuss!

MOD: Farm Shop - fresh food direct from the farmer!
Legoliner Pilot replied to Klaus-Dieter's topic in LEGO Town
I can see that you love building in the style of 7641 City Corner, Klaus! That sign and the checkout counter are definitely reminiscent of the Biking and Pizza place. Well done! By the way, you can take a screen shot by clicking Ctrl + K and then the square pattern will not be on the bottom of your MOCs. -
Lets just hope that Lego doesn't try to over expand and bring us another Police Pontoon Plane or Fire Hovercraft...
-
Nope. Most of the relevant police sets have been released in 2008, so you have a while to go until you will see any new police sets on the shelves...

What is Your Favorite Modular Building?
Legoliner Pilot replied to Legoliner Pilot's topic in LEGO Town
Yes, I would. I was just asking you that because even TLG themselves consider it a Modular House -- and Wikipedia, too. [See here] Here is some box art, if you need it: -
TLG has released two Santa Fe locomotives: A Super Chief one (10020) and a BNSF one (10133). I prefer 10020, maybe that is because I like passenger trains much better than Cargo trains. Which do you prefer?
-
It's just a matter of time before the Passenger Train and the Cargo Train are gone... I mean, they are from 2006!
