  1. Fabian sells armor that does that already, just as bodywear instead of headwear.
  2. "Wait. Dyric, can ya' use your Remedy on me and then switch to your Aqua Gear? You'd be able to use the Cat 'O' Nine Tails, then." "Remedy, mate, not potion, I'm at full - well, double health already."
  3. This battle would be hard if we had the entire party with us.
  4. I like these ideas. Is it at all possible that a few of the job traits could be taken from the master classes? If fits, seeing as how both as boosts to the basic classes. I also like the idea that they're Fields prizes. High Cleric Additional Health: +8 Additional Ether: +6 Job Traits: Arc Healing: High clerics may heal their entire party outside of battle at the cost of 5 ether, Botanist: High clerics excell in all manners of healing. Restorative consumables they use restore twice as much health and/or ether, Purity: A high cleric's healing causes double damage to undead. Battle Style: Wondrous: High clerics can achieve astounding feats in healing. SHIELD: Atonement: The high cleric restores their party to perfect health. In addition, any negative effects they have are transferred to the enemy party, cycling through both battle orders. The negative effects of one hero may be dealt to multiple opponents, if there are more enemies than there are heroes. Any positive effects the enemies have are transferred to the heroes. One hero may receive positive effects from multiple opponents, if there are more opponents than heroes. CRITICAL HIT/ARC HEAL MORE - The high cleric deals damage to the opponent equal to twice their weapon power added to their level. Alternatively, they may restore health equal to the same power to the entire party at the cost of 5 ether. HIT/ARC HEAL - The high cleric deals damage to the opponent equal to their weapon power added to their level. Alternatively, they may restore health equal to the same power to the entire party at the cost of 5 ether. INTROSPECTION/ARC HEAL LESS - The high cleric gains insight into their actions, regaining 5 ether. Alternatively, they may restore health equal to their level to the entire party at the cost of 5 ether. DAMAGE/NO HEAL - The high cleric is struck by the opponent's attack. Alternatively, any attempt of healing fails. SPECIAL GUARD/NO HEAL - The high cleric is struck by the opponent's special skill, with a 50/50 chance to be safe from any negative effects dealt by it. Alternatively, any attempt of healing fails. Considered trying to work nurture in there, I figured a 'Cleansing Arc Heal' might be too too powerful.
  5. I should be Encouraged, Enraged, and Inspired, I drank the Brew. "Dyric, that won't have any effect, they're undead. Is there any chance you could use a Remedy on me? I'll get trashed if I'm standin' in the front row, Inspired or not. Poletad, pick an undead to heal." Atramor quickly chewed up his Dragon Scale - from the back row if remedied, front row if not. "Nyx, ya' should put Thothwick first, his shield will soften Zee's Free Hit. Pray for a damn Shield, everyone..."
  6. The different between E and Y should not be the difference between total immunity to that enemy or being OHKO'd because you thought you were, in my eyes. It's just up to the QMs to start using elemental damages in Special Skills more often. It would make elemental immunity a better investment.
  7. Monster types don't automatically deal damage with the element closest to their type, though, it's just for specified elements in Special Skills (ie, Zander's first special deals electric damage), if that's you mean. If that was the case, I'd agree, elemental immunities would be very overpowered. I mean, if you were just to specify somewhere that 'So-and-so Enemy deals _____ Elemental damage' it would make things a lot less complex than tying monster types to elements.
  8. But their examples in the monsters page are identical?
  9. I think Alexis would be best throwing on that Lens. With four actions a turn, she could put half the enemy party to sleep while Cronk and the others hack up those who aren't. Wouldn't even be able to wake them with any AoE attacks due to the Magician's Passive.
  10. Fitting specials for Henry and Morgan, WBD.
  11. Atramor rubbed his eyes. The ape was the one going to screw them over, wasn't he? "How do ya' know him?"
  12. Round One of Butterfly Plains Battle Benji uses Crossbow of the Pongcanis on Flutterfly C, back row - Aim (13 x 16 = 208 ice/wind/fire/darkness damage, Flutterfly C could not be more KO'd) Docken uses Darksteel Crossbow on Mad Cow, back row - Special Damage: Moo! (Docken is afraid and confused) Xander uses Precision Bow on Flutterfly B, back row - Shield: Marking the Favored (21 + 2 + 13 = 35 damage, Flutterfly B KO'd, Xander can Mark Vermin and/or Flying types) Thormanil uses Frozen Sabre on Flutterfly A, back row - Damage (8/2 - 3 = 1 damage) Althior uses Wind on Splatterfly A, back row - Great Spell ((22 + 10 + 5) x 4 = 148 wind damage, Splatterfly A KO'd, -1 ether) Death's Rose A, Bloody Bug D, and Shutterfly C use Free Hit on Benji - ((15 + 6 + 6)/2 - 7 = 7 damage) Benji counterstrikes Death's Rose A, Bloody Bug D, and Shutterfly C - (22/2 = 11 damage to each) Death's Rose B, Splatterfly B, and Shutterfly D use Free Hit on Docken - ((15 + 9 + 6)/2 - 25 = 0 damage) Docken counterstrikes Death's Rose B, Splatterfly B, and Shutterfly D - (25/2 - 4 = 9 damage to Death's Rose B Althior, 25/2 = 13 damage to Splatterfly B, and 25/2 - 7 = 6 damage to Shutterfly D Benji) Bloody Bug A and Splatterfly C use Free Hit on Xander - (6 + 9)/2 - 5 = 3 damage) Bloody Bug B and Shutterfly A use Free Hit on Thormanil - (6 + 6)/2 - 3 = 3 damage) Bloody Bug C and Shutterfly B use Free Hit on Althior - (6 + 6)/2 - 4 = 2 damage) Benji, Althior, and Xander (who may now choose to Mark Vermin and/or Flying types) all expertly eliminate butterflies. The insane cow gives a mind-bending moo to Docken. Flutterfly A twitches its antenna at Thormanil, who stumbles backward, tripping over a rock. In a colorful hurricane, the heroes are assaulted by flowers and butterflies. Docken goes into a moo-induced fury, supplemented by Benji's refusal to further his quest for immortality, and breaks both his and Althior's jaws. The heroes have taken out three insects, but now they have a raging, nigh-on immortal warden trying to kill them too. 13. I half agree. I don't think there was a single female character in the entire book, but they did already throw in Galadriel, so Tauriel's inclusion doesn't really seem necessary.
  14. Right. Since Sapper and Lifestealer aren't suitable for mages either, they're not classed as daggers, unless the QM who created it decides to change it. I don't see any reason not to, it's been done before, I think, and even artifacts in the marketplace can change to suit new classes.
  15. Ratsbane (once the Sapper) has the same problem, it's only suitable for rogues, so unless Jeb (or in your case, Rumble Strike) changes it, it doesn't count as a dagger. And I agree so much, I want to be able to upgrade my weapons beyond more WP and gems.
  16. I would get a better weapon. Lifestealer can't be used in expert classes anyway, and a weapon that deals an effect or two could be destructive with all your Ravages.
  17. No, it's applied to all enemies, that's how you assassinated one of the crows.
  18. I'd still like to see the Berserker's Incense (or something to that effect) I suggested in the Grogmas Gifts. It'd level out one of the Berserker's greatest weaknesses, but at a cost.
  19. He does to me as well, in a completely different way. I'm glad to see that guy again. Ask if you can brew some Meads and Nostrums, Apothecary party!
  20. Expert Classes are the only level of classes that aren't boosting basic classes exclusively, and I think that's why Sandy lets people create their own. Frankly, it's more of an optional level than advanced and master classes. In Advanced Classes you can almost always get a class similar to to your original, Master classes are like super advanced classes....Experts are the odd ones out. They're specialized. An equipment change and the requirements to get them are both things unique to it, and have nothing to do with your basic classes. Notice how nobody refuses an advanced class, while I've seen several people deliberating not choosing an expert. In short, in my eyes, it's like that one giant branch jutting out sideways from your skill/progression tree, rather than an advancement of it. It's just so different from the basic>advanced>master progression that I don't think Atramor's even going to have a master class, and for others, unless they go Mime, it'll require an even bigger equipment change.
  21. Alright, good. Sorry, I've been paranoid about this stuff ever since I finished Dastan at about half the max health I should've had...
  22. This has a very good chance of being my first UCS set, if that's the case. If it is UCS/exclusive. It's seemingly separate from the main wave, so I would assume so.
  23. "Undead," muttered Atramor. At least his theory was right. "Poletad, heal the ape, and be quick about it. Everyone get ready, I'm almost sure we're about to have a hell of a fight on our hands." "You smell of rottin' flesh, but let's not make early judgments. I'm Atramor Gibbin, of Heroica, as are most of my mates here. We don't got any strife with ya' - in fact, we're here on a bit of an errand. We were wonderin'; how would it affect you to know that someone was tryin' to harness all the Chaos of this world for her own?" He took a sip of Pongcanis Brew as he spoke, trying desperately not to gag on the bitter drink. McCafferey appraised this demon queen with a beady eye. Are we at the point of 'no return - if KO'd at the end of battle' yet? If we are....there aren't any words to describe how screwed we are.
  24. Now that would be overpowered.
  25. Hex is one of the the most underpowered Shields out there, but like you say it pales in comparison to the other features anyway, namely Special Mirror. And yes, spawning new allies is fun. Most of them put elemental summons to shame.
