Jeez, I keep nearly forgetting to put up an idea, and I'm only a third of the way through now. PIRATE These rowdy sailors do whatever it takes to get some treasure. · Additional Health: +13 · Weapons: Pirates wield brutal boarding weapons such as axes, clubs, daggers, longswords, throwing weapons, and handcannons. · Job Traits: Flee (See Rogue), Seafarer - Pirates are Inspired when in the presence of the sea, Treasure Hunter - Pirates have a natural affinity for finding more treasure when digging or mining. · Battle Style: Thieving: Pirates go wherever the coin is. 1. SHIELD: Arrhh - The pirate flies into a (probably drunken) rage, dealing 2-12 hits to the target with strength equal to their weapon power added to their level. Each strike has a 1/3 chance of stealing gold equal to the opponent’s level, if they carry gold. 2. MUG: The pirate deals damage to the opponent equal to three times their weapon power added to their level. If the target carries gold, the pirate steals gold equal to the target’s level. 3. HIT: The pirate deals damage to the opponent equal to their weapon power added to their level. 4. SWIG: The pirate downs some questionable liquor, gaining the encouraged- and enraged- effects. If the pirate is already encouraged- and enraged-, they steal gold equal to the target’s level, if they carry gold. 5. DAMAGE: The pirate is struck by the opponent's attack. 6. SPECIAL COVER: The pirate has a 50/50 chance of being protected from any damage caused by the opponent’s special skill.

Interesting idea. I found a ton of headlight bricks while I was looking for the newer version in the Mines of Moria set...I might do that.

Heroica RPG - Quest #69: The Hook on the Other Hand

"No doubt you know the circumstances under my leaving the assassins. It was a matter of fleeing or dying. Perhaps I did fail to follow through on my oaths to the order. But I continue to respect their ways. I have no wish to reignite my differences with them in the case you - or one of your allies, perhaps - is captured and tortured into revealing my location and my ratting them out. It's been a decade, now, but they no doubt still seek me, the only one who's left the order alive and intact." -

"Heroica. There's a name I've not heard in quite some time. Always getting into trouble. Often in the way of contracts. Doesn't surprise me you're looking for a victim of one of the Blue Assassins, but it does surprise me that you've managed to track me down. As far as laying down my arms and coming with you willingly to the fools claiming to guard the hellhole above us.....I think you know the answer to that one, girl." "If you wanted to kill me, I can promise you'd be disappointed. If you're looking a Blue Assassin and ended up here, it's obviously because you lack the skills or clues needed to track down an active one, leaving me skeptical that you possess the abilities to kill one. That said..." Posco removes the weapon from Nessa's throat, but doesn't seem to even consider lowering them. "...I'll humor you. One question is all you must answer. Why should I bother helping you?" -
That's fantastic. The rockwork and landscaping is great in itself, but that roof technique and the complex gold decor on the hall are amazing. Gorgeous work.

"Aye, ya' can go now. Sorry Lee, didn't think ya'll shared the same letters this side of the world. Thought they'd be written in an aoi or werepanther language." "Seein' as how this was a sacred place at one point, I doubt this is meant to refer to these bastard bandits. But it looks like there are room for other tiles on this grid. I'm guessin' we'll find a few in these caves. Anyone got any objection to me goin' down the eastern passage? I'll be back in a bit, no matter what I find in there anyway."

Collectible Minifigures Mafia - Conclusion - Case Closed
CMP replied to TrumpetKing's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
I don't blame you. I didn't do much and my activity dropped off on Day Three in a way that was pretty indicative of my scumtell. Not a very good game for me. I was so intent on being active as a vanilla, too. Awesome game TK. The characters were hilarious, and you did a fine job hosting. The balance looks good - not difficult to tell, given how straightforward the setup was - and I had a lot of fun. The town block did a fantastic job of forming quickly and rallying everyone once they found scum. Here's my role PM.- 67 replies

I consider Orthanc separate. I doubt we're getting another Lord of the Rings/the Hobbit exclusive that size again for quite some time.

I don't get what's so unthinkable about these being the only Hobbit sets this wave. Lord of the Rings only got four sets last wave. That said, it would be odd if we didn't get Smaug.

Nessa leads the way upstairs. There's a circular hall on each floor surrounding a single room, each one progressively smaller as the heroes ascend the mushroom, and at the top, the stairs end right at a doorway. No sooner had the elven ranger opened the door than a flash of steel crossed her eyes - in less than a second, an aged, gruff-looking halfling had a long dagger to her throat. "You've found me. Congratulations. Do I have to kill you now, or are you going to delay the end of your life by a handful of seconds with some half-spun excuse as to why you're here and who you're working for?" -
But later also on a TIE Fighter.
-
Very clean build. Liking the bed and the whole desk set-up you have going on, and the bookshelf is excellent. But is that an Imperial logo on the doorframe?
-
"Lee's capable in a fight, obviously, but none of us here know these caves, I think it'd be best if me, you, and Thalion scout them out before we all start pilin' into one."
-
Looks good to me. And Lee can't equip weapons. "Thanks, mate," remarked Atramor, stuffing the gold, Remedy, Smoke Bomb, Soma, and Ruby into his cloak, and strapping the Tiger Claws onto his gloves. A vicious weapon, indeed. McCafferey landed quite suddenly on his shoulder. "<Try to find the line between heroics and suicide. I shouldn't even have to tell you why.>" she advised. The witch paid her no mind. "I'm thinkin' each of us rogues goes and checks one of the tunnels so we can flee as soon as we find whatever's inside."
-
Nice work. Loving the speeder and its color scheme. You may want to shorten the doorway and throw some details in the interior, and some sort of antenna/satellite on the roof with some lights would help to brighten things up a little.

You could rent rooms, I suppose. The dwarven bartender turns, his back to the party, then looks back at them, sliding a small iron key across the counter with a glance at Rollo. "Top floor," he mumbles through his beard, tilting his head to the right, towards the spiral stairs that've been carved into the inside of the mushroom. -
Sort of a...spin-off of Paladin. Less healing, more bashing. Does anyone think Celestial Balance should stack, or should I just use a powerful attack if it's already been used (like War Cry)? TEMPLAR These holy crusaders utilize their faith to deal stronger blows and keep allies free of debilitating effects. · Additional Health: +12 · Additional Ether: +3 · Weapons: Templars wield knightly, noble weapons such as clubs, greatswords, halberds, hammers, staves, and maces. · Job Traits: Diplomacy (See Knight), Dispel – Templars can remove negative effects outside of battle at the cost of 1 ether, Restoration (See Paragon) · Battle Style: Sustaining: Templars use divine power to keep the party on their feet and give their strikes devastating power. 1. SHIELD: Celestial Balance: The templar’s faith restores all heroes to full health. The health restored is then divided by the number of heroes, rounded down, and added to the templar’s weapon power for the duration of the battle. 2. EMPOWERED CRITICAL HIT/CLEANSING: The templar deals damage equal to twice their weapon power added to their level. They may choose to sacrifice ether to add to their weapon power. Optionally, they may choose to remove all negative effects from themselves or an ally at the cost of 1 ether per negative effect. The dispelled hero receives the Blessed effect for the duration of the battle. 3. EMPOWERED HIT/DISPEL: The templar deals damage equal to their weapon power added to their level. They may choose to sacrifice ether to add to their weapon power. Optionally, they may choose to remove all negative effects from themselves or an ally at the cost of 1 ether per negative effect. 4. DIVINE WILL/MINOR DISPEL: The templar may choose to spend ether to create a defensive aura around the entire party for the duration of the next round. The amount of ether spent is equal to the defense the templar will provide to the party times half the number of heroes, rounded up. Optionally, the templar may remove one negative effect from themselves or an ally at the cost of 1 ether. 5. DAMAGE: The templar is struck by the opponent’s attack. 6. SPECIAL GUARD: The templar has a 50/50 chance of being protected from any negative effects caused by the opponent’s special skill.

Almost as fun as doing the same for classes.

The party heads to the bar. Pala, if you still want to talk with the Baron in private do it in PM and assume you did it earlier here. Rollo the digger is still downing goblets of watered-down ale. Vinum watches the heroes intently from under bushy eyebrows, but remains quiet. -
SoNE Contest Episode I: Shadows of Nar Eurbrikka

Made a little progress today....there's a serious lack of Cloud City pictures on Google Images. Might just have to watch Empire Strikes Back again. The maximum of 25 XP earned per Episode...is that including free builds? I calculated a maximum of 25 XP earned with the challenge itself, so I'm not sure if you refer to just that, or if the maximum is 25 in total per Episode. -
Thanks for the comments everyone, as well as the blog Doc. I'm excited to finally have reason to work on some MOCs. That was the one problem I had with the SNOT walls....I don't have many of those pins, but I'll have to try and dig some up for next time.

Loving the little railings (I hesitate to call them that, since I'm pretty sure those don't exist in Star Wars canon) and the floor pattern.

" 'Long as you've got enough of both strength and brains on your side, hard to screw up a battle," chuckled Atramor. "What the hell is the Constellation, anyway? Sounds like the kinda name you'd give to a ship. Think they've got more of the flyin' ones around here?"
