  1. If you look at the artwork on the top of the packaging of Splitter Beast, you can clearly see the orange half of the set, separate from the blue half.
  2. Now that I've time to let the images sink in, this is my opinion of the sets: Evo Walker: Unfortunately, the skeletal nature of the HF bones make the legs of the walker very unpleasant to the eye. Or mine, at least. This set is a definite skip, especially if I'm getting the Evo XL mech. Rocka Stealth Machine: Pass. The claw hand looks weird, and while I love the Breakout launcher, I'm getting quite tired of seeing it in sets. Nothing special about this one. Furno Jet Machine: Looks like I'll be getting this, easily the best of the mechs. The arms look a little too short though, but nothing modding can't fix. Stormer Freeze Machine: Set looks okay, but the paw arm looks weird on a mech. Don't think I'll be getting this. Evo XL Machine: Looks like we're going back to the old style of HF titans, but the legs on this one look like a mess. Probably a pass. Jaw Beast: Plain and simple design, but the colours of the pieces more than make up for it. Might get this one. Flyer Beast: Lame Batman wings and a generic build. Unlike Jaw Beast, yellow is already a pretty common colour. Pass. Splitter Beast: Can't see much of what's going on in the picture, but just by glancing, this looks to be the best set of the wave. At least we're getting something new out of the build compared to the other 2 villains, if what VBBN says is true. Definite buy. Overall, an interesting but lackluster wave. There's no one particular set that stands out for me. The mechs are a cool idea (in fact, I'm probably buying them for the novelty that they're HF mechs and I love mechs) but the execution isn't that good. The beasts use too much black, and have mostly generic designs, but their awesome heads and colours more than make up for it. As for the minifigs and bugs, well, I've never cared much for minifigs anyway. But I'm glad Lego made the step to create these HF minifigs. Minifigs are pretty popular nowadays, especially with kids. Hopefully these sets help to elevate HF's popularity. This is just my first impression, I'll judge again when we get finalized pictures.
  3. Ehhh. While I like the idea, the designs of the mechs are disappointing, to say the least. I really like Splitter Beast, though. I'll wait for finalized pictures to judge them properly, but the prelims don't look too good.
  4. The fact that we get to see them in detail at all is a good enough benefit for me. I don't really bother with what they say.
  5. Woah, you're right. If the visor was set further into the helmet, it'd look a hundred times better, just like the original scout trooper helmets.
  6. Thanks for the explanation! The minifig doesn't seem that bad now, although the visor printing is still hideously small.
  7. Well, while I'm not a fan of TBS and YCF, it's their own money. Let them spend it. We're the ones that benefit in the end, after all. Also, JayWalker, instead of double posting all the time, you can always edit your previous post. Back on topic, Cryptor and Lloyd both look great. Cyrus just looks a bit off to me for some reason.
  8. It's not just the size of the visor, the black border and the shade of green on it are bothering me as well. The mold itself looks great though. Hopefully the new helmets for the 212nd airborne troopers don't turn out so bad.
  9. I really hope that the 212nd troopers in the Utapau BP have proper orange markings rather than the bright yellow that the one in the Umbaran MHC has.
  10. Yeah, or $25 at least. Ouch. Nice to see confirmation on the airborne troopers at least, I love their helmets!
  11. As far as I know, exclusive sets don't usually appear on mainstream promotional material like posters, e.g. Star Wars.
  12. That Nindroid MechDragon is an instabuy. It looks to be the best dragon we've gotten yet! Loving that brickbuilt head and the awesome wings.
  13. What the- Minifigs?! That's an interesting turn of events. Given the popularity of minifigs and the general lack of interest in the HF line, this move was probably made to boost HF sales. Anyway, if this is true, we can probably look forward to new skeleton torso pieces that can accommodate minifigs. I'm still a little skeptical, though. It might be chibi figures after all, that were mistaken to be minifigures.
  14. I think that's a given. :D
  15. 2 figures for $10 is a little odd. I mean, would we have 2 chibi figures using the XT4 skeleton? It'll be cute, but somehow I don't think that'll be the case. A Creator-style set would certainly open up a ton of new possibilities to future HF sets. Really looking forward to pictures this time. Was planning on quitting HF this year, but the lineup looks interesting. So far I have 7 out of the existing 9 Heroes (either in their Breakout or BA forms) and I still need Nex and Evo to complete my lineup, so I'll probably end up getting Evo XL.
  16. Given the low price, could it be that the VS sets are like Creator sets of sorts, with the same pieces used to build 2 different figurines?
  17. Considering the limited parts at your disposal, you did an excellent job! I would love to see an AoT set.
  18. I can't agree more. While I love Bionicle canisters, I have saved a TON of space thanks to those bags. I really wouldn't know where to store all the boxes/canisters I would have in place of the bags we have. Right now I just store them in a folder so they won't get folded. I'm so glad Lego made the change, plus it gives something unique to HF. Where Bionicle had canisters, HF has its bags.
  19. I see, thanks for that! I read somewhere on the Internet that the new season will premier on December this year, but I can't find a reliable source.
  20. I see, thanks for the info. Do you have a source website for both tidbits of information, though?
  21. Woah, there are new episodes? I assumed these sets are for the new Ninjago movie due next year.
  22. I see, thanks. Anyway, these pictures have me pumped for the Nindroid MechDragon! Definitely looking forward to seeing pics of that one!
  23. Wow. The vehicles themselves are pretty standard compared to previous years, but the minfigs are amazing! Definitely getting Kai's jet and the Overborg set, both seem like a steal to me at US$20 each. On a side note, are those bandana pieces new, or are they the same ones used in the Pirates/Western themes many years ago?
  24. This seems to be a reliable site, but the list sure is odd. I do hope we're getting more vehicles this time around. I've decided to scale back on buying HF anyway and focus on other themes, so I'll only be buying those that are particularly interesting.
  25. Just how reliable is this All About Bricks website, exactly?
