42160 is the best one for that. -

Thank you for the praise! Regarding the gearing question, when using 81.6 mm wheels with fast output, I was able to reach some 30 km/h. So I think 25 km/h or close should be doable with 68.8 mm wheels. And I think 42125 is a good candidate, though perhaps use the newer hubsamd cv joints to hold and drive the wheels. -

Thank you for the praise, my friend, I could increase steering angle to 30° but usually such high steering angle is not needed, since the cars are small and tracks have plenty of space. Indeed the model looks long, but it's actually not much longer than the Bolide for example. The soft front tyres should help with understeer. Regarding tracked vehicle, the shock absorbers of the suspension arms are under slight pretension, which I hope will be enough. -

Thank you for the kind wishes! As long as the bevel gears are inside the part 48469, they can handle quite a lot of torque before skipping. I'm using same parts in my Universal offroader V2 and they have yet to skip. Of course, having 5,4 downgearing in planetary hubs reduces the strain on those gears a lot. -

I was invited to the Romanian RTXP challenge which will be held next weekend, so it felt only right to make a video about the models I'm taking with me: Can't wait for some friendly competitions and to spend some quality time with friends! -

Woah, the legend is back! I'm happy to see you return with such an awesome model. How was the experience of returning to the Technic after so many years? Especially considering that so many useful parts have been released in the last 5 years. -

How about using a quarter circle gear part (banana gear)? -

Indeed, as long as they are coupled with an identical gear ratio, they will multiply torque, not speed.- 5,794 replies

Grum's Shed

Great progress of a really awesome set, Grum. Regarding 15100, there are actually 2 versions, newer ones released after 2022ish are a lot softer and have a different pin shape. I remember originals from 42096 and those were really tight.
