ACTUALLY, a stud is around 4,85-4,90 mm. But yes, they are spaced 8 mm apart which is the LEGO's basic's grid. -

Thank you for the praise. Indeed I wanted it to be as small and compact as possible. I would love to drive it in the snow, but none stick. I have the LDD file, the only thing missing is tracks, since I was too lazy to fold them. -

I have been a bit less active lately due to a flooded kitchen, but now all that is fixed. One of the workers was really interested in my LEGO models and so I decided to build a simple, yet robust model for his daughter in spirit of Christmas holidays: -

You can build portal axle hubs with pin hub ports that can accept the deeper wheel version too. -
