Hi,all, Having been busy for the past weeks... But finally, here are some updates: I started building the final version and making photo instructions at the meantime I know this kind of car is not popular here (We all love super cars...), still, I'll get the instructions done, it's my first time, and I think it's rather interesting I spent nearly a whole day and now the unibody is almost finished, obviously, not including the roof, I need BL some panels... As described at the start, the building is modular, and I tried to represent the making process of real cars. I kept updating the part list while taking photos, and it adds up to about 540 parts now(without the roof), I think it may end up to 2000 parts or so. The final version and the beta one side by side for comparison. Thanks for watching and hope you like it.

Another masterpiece as always! I was thinking to build something similar to this which uses 4 L motor for driving too, but never got the time nor skill It's great to see how technic performs under such configuration and will definitely build it when you finish the instructions.

Thanks Jeroen again for another good suggestion! I put the panel facing backwards, but instead of upside down, I put it upside up . By putting it this way, I can put another 7x3 panel above it. Pics are better than talking I think, There is some gap between the 2 panels, I think I can take it . What do you think?

Yes, I'll build a red body/black roof version when all the designs settled. Thanks. The front part of rear fenders are on the rear door like the real car. The "front running boards" you meant actually are the curve on the door, sorry about the poor implemention. I used a 5/6# panel for that part in the beginning, as you can see in the pics at the first page, however, changed them into beams later.

Continue updating: Finally finished the rear axle and got a rolling chassis. A closer look at the rear axle. The front is almost done. I'm not pleased with the fog light part though. It's time for the rear part of the car now and I think the rear is a bit harder to make than the front... The overall look of the car right now. This scale MOC is really too heavy, a lot things left uninstalled and the car is already very heavy... There are still a lot things needs to be done: 4 seats side skirt rear bumper sunroof fake engine That's all for today and hope you like it. Please leave your comments

Continue updating Almost finished the front chassis and driving part. And yes, it will be a 4WD version, "all 4", per MINI's naming . But I chose a little weird driving configuration: By default, it is FWD, when the driving ring engages with the central diff, it becomes AWD but without the central diff. The odd thing you may notice to the right of the diff is a mock L motor. I corrected the proportion by widen the whole thing by 2L and stretch the hood by 1L. Also, I took Jeroen's advice on the wheel arc, I think it looks way more better than the previous version . The upper part of dashboard is done, it features adjustable steering wheel as well as a speed needle in the speedo. Real interior for comparison: How do you think? Suggestions are always welcomed!

Continue updating: Began to reinforce the front part of the frame. Also, the power steering unit is installed. Yes, the design credits to Sheepo, I learned that from his gorgeous mustang. It's modular, compact, effective and easy to change gear ratio. One of the MINI's unique feature: the headlight frame moves with the engine hood

Thanks everyone for your comments and suggestions. A little update now: The front suspension is finally done, at least the geometry part. Obviously, I copied the McPherson strut design of Nicjasno, his suspension tutorial videos help a lot This is the 7 or 8th version of iteration. I used the new 5L suspension part as the lower control arm(extended it into a 6L one) at first, and had a hard time to make the steering geometry right. Then I switched to the 5.5L "old" one, and finally I can keep the steering link parallel with the control arm. There are still some problems with the current setup, it is a little wobbly, but for now, I think I should move on to other things. I built Sariel's 4 speed sequence gear box and really like it. The new driving ring works like charm. The gear change is crisp clear and firm. The only problem is its size. The countryman at this scale is really not big. I tried to put the gearbox under the hood, but failed due to the height limitation. So, it is moved to the position as above, between to two rear seats (it will have really narrow rear seats I'm afraid). I think I'll put the 2L motors under the front seats, a fake L4 engine into the engine bay, battery box under the trunk, and probably make a 4 wheel drive version cuz the location of gearbox make it easier to be AWD. How do you think? please comment below.

Can you please use some pics as reference? I don't know much about the suspension things but really interested in your suggestion. I think the connector of the trailing arm of real thing has 3 dimensions freedom unlike mine model which only have 2 dimensions, on the other hand, the connectors of the 2 linkages on the real thing have more limitation in movement compared to mine model which uses ball joints.

Now, some detailed photos: inner side of front door: Real one: Again, I think flex axle will do better here, will try that later Grill: Real one: I tried hard to make a proper "sad face" here. Rear suspension: Real one: Don't have much talent o knowledge at this aspect, the setup right now has unintended toe out effects, so I may try to improve it, but for now, I'm pleased with it Again, your suggestion is well welcomed Please look at the upper post

Hi, all, this is my second MOC and my first car MOC I want to build the one below: 2013 MINI Countryman Cooper S. It will have: McPherson front suspension 2 link rear suspension Sariel's 4 speed sequence gear box Unibody chassis with structural A, B, C, D pillars Detailed interior 2 L motor for drive and 1 M motor for steering 81mm tire from 42000, so the scale is approximately 1:8 ======================================================================================================================================================= Have finished several days ago and finally got time to shoot some photos of it The RB link is up at: http://rebrickable.c...er-countryman-s Modular design: Chassis: I made a black roof as well, which color scheme do you prefer? There are more photos at: http://www.brickshel...ry.cgi?f=560193 ======================================================================================================================================================== WIP content below starts from August 20th. I devided the whole project into multiple parts as: unibody chassis front passenger door rear passenger door trunk door engine hood front bumper and grill rear bumper dash board 4 seats front suspension rear suspension gear box power unit fake engine(if have enough space) Having been working on it for 1 month and it looks like this now: I tried to replicate the neg camber of the rear wheels and it turned out like this: As you can see, the doors, engine hood, front grill, front and rear suspension, roof are nearly done, and there is still lots of work to be done. Thanks for watching and please comment below, really need your suggestion.

I'm a Chinese Lego fan and I did this. Yes, we here have some problems of browsing foreign sites(It's weird that I can't even browse Sheepo's site directly...), paying with credit cards, reading English and so on. However, making profits using other's work without paying them anything is COMPLETELY WRONG and many of us Chinese fans feel shame on them too. Finding some proxy like here to help selling your instructions would be a better way for both sides, although I think, as Paul said, the market here might not be that large. I feel sad that Paul decided not to sell his instructions to us any more since a lot of us here really like his MOCs. And I doubt that would help since for the illegal sellers, they can always find a way to get the instructions they want because of the profit. On the other hand, for the buyers, if he/she meets some difficulty to buy the instructions directly from the owner, he/she will turn to other easier ways instead, especially the other ways are cheaper...

I've built mine a few days ago too. I used the brickbuilder's speed build video as the main source of instruction. Like TechniChriS's version, only 3 of the 4 PF functions work because of lacking the new turntable. Did not try to make it work since it will be broken down soon Used the old clutch parts instead of the new ones, and the half unit building requirement shows the value of new parts very well. Couldn't stick to one color because was building Sheepo's GREAT mustang at the same time. The mustang was completed a few days later and absolutely love it!

It's a great start of your 1:10 MOC. The transfer between pure electric and hybrid modes seems very smooth to me. I've been building your mustang these days and love the sequence box. I know there are a lot of problems with it, it's huge, has a lot of power loss, a bit tricky to build it reliable. But I've a lot fun to "drive" a technic car which have a sequence gear box. It feels different from driving other "normal" "fast" MOCs. I think I'll build your beetle too, hoping its box works better than the mustang's. I know they are the same generation, any improvement is welcomed So, I hope to see more boxes in your future MOCs, don't know if the new parts introduced this year can help you make it smaller and/or more reliable. -

Great reviews as always Sariel! Not into pneumatic that much and having got enough truck wheels so I think I'll pass the Mec. Like its look though. Love the fire plane, mainly because its parts are a good complement to my collection. Now, waiting for the last one with patience -
Welcome back and take your pace. No matter where you have been, very glad that you came back! Really really like your MOCs, all of them! You are in your own league in this hobby. Oh, almost forgot, your new MOCs are very appealing, pity that I have to tear your SUV mk1 apart to build the new CUV though.
