  1. Good idea and my model can definitely benefit from the SBrick, with one SBrick instead of 2 IR receivers, the doors can be made slide open Pity that haven't gotten many points so far, anyway, it feels good being part of the great contest,
  2. Too many great entries, it's really hard to choose... 26 : 10 38 : 6 28 : 4 33 : 3 25 : 2 15 : 1
  3. Great model, it reminds me of Iron head in the transformer movie
  4. Thanks I used the camera of Samsung Note 3, and the light when I recorded was not very well. Will use other camera and make another one if I have time before the vote begins I think
  5. 6. DT-54 Bulldozer Designed and produced by Soviet Union, DT-54 is a tractor for general use. It was produced during 1949-1979, and a total number of 957,900 was made. To meet the TC6 requirement, I added a blade in the front and a ripper at the back, making it into a bulldozer. Functions: 2 L motors for propulsion 1 M motor for blade 1 M motor for ripper Photos: Video: Discussion topic: http://www.eurobrick...pic=105161&st=0 Thanks for watching.
  6. Thanks for your help For the ripper, I tried to make it like a Russian one, though can't find much info... Instead I made a simple one myself, of course, like the one on 42028 more or less
  7. Trying to make videos now, and below is the first one: Sorry to ask, since I think I saw the similar question before, that is : How to paste a video directly in the thread? Forgot the method, never thought I could paste my MOCs' video here.
  8. Thanks and some update: Modified blade and the cabin is 2 studs higher now Added a simple ripper, borrowed some idea from 42028 Both blade and ripper at the highest position: lowest position: Still need to improve the blade and ripper I think.
  9. Thanks and that's a good advice, it actually runs a little rough right now. However, I think I'll keep it this way since its real world counter part does not have rubber on those wheels either. Thanks and jorgeopesi also suggested that. After recheck the scale of the cabin height, I agree with you two and will make the cabin one stud higher.
  10. Thanks for your advice and praise After reading your comment, I think the cabin is a litter lower too. Will recheck the scaler of the height of the cabin
  11. Here is some update: Right now the tractor itself is complete The door was designed to be slide-open in the prototype, however, with two receivers added into the cabin, there is no room for the tracks... So, it really needs a SBrick! The M motor is obviously for the ripper, still has to figure that out Right now is working on the blade, below pictures are WIP of course. Thanks for watching and advises are always welcome
  12. It maybe look like this I think. Unlike using pneumatic in the real world though, I'll go with PF, cuz I don't familiar with pneumatic very well and the space of the MOC is very limited.
  13. There they are: The final version will be red. A close look at the track part: track tensioner and shock absorber: Some comparison pics:
  14. Hi, all, This is my first MOC and I'm trying to build a DT-54 tractor which is an old tractor made by soviet. Its production began in 1949 and lasted at least to 1979. It will be more or less like below, of course to meet the 4 PF functions requirement, I need to put a blade in the front and a ripper in the behind. Motorized functions: -drive 2xL motor -blade 1xM motor -ripper 1xM motor -power standard AA battery box Right now the chassis is half way completed and I just started building the upper body. Will post some WIP pics later, stay tuned Final model: Video: More photos: http://www.brickshel...ry.cgi?f=552423 Thanks for watching and hope you like it
  15. Great video as always dude Wish I had some RC parts ... Recently, I built a motorized 8041/42041, using 2 PF L motors, 62.4mm truck tires, and it's RWD. I tried to make it driftable although I know it's almost impossible due to the limited power. The result is, it can only "drift" about 90 degrees when suddenly reverse the motor direction and steering to one side simultaneously. According to the test, the power of a L motor is about half of a RC motor, so I wonder whether a 4 L motor car with 2 battery boxes can have some better performance.
  16. Thanks for the info, , and pity that I don't have any 68mm wheels which means the 42039 is a must buy ......
  17. Great review as always Sariel! I like the B model more as well. Not interested in the building process very much, so I usually skipped that, the only exception was when I tried to build 42031-42037 using your videos. I wonder if the 81.6mm racing tire can fit there, did you ever give them a try?
  18. So, it's more like this with a red crane
  19. Great news! I have been checking for them several times a day Many thanks for Paul's info, and I think it is this one in black and white:
  20. If you have 9398 and 42030, you'll have enough pf parts for 3 cars at one time. And then, you can choose some sets from 42000, 42007, 42005,42036, 42037,42038,42029 and even 42021x2, since, these sets are all about suspensions, wheels, tracks etc. There are some overlaps between them, so you need "choose" if your budget is limited. For example, I did not buy 42005 myself, instead, I bought/will buy all the others I listed the second line. Since the key parts in 42005, like ball joints, wheels, soft absorbs, are all in the other sets while the other sets have their unique high value parts themselves. Among them, the 42037 is kind of special, cuz it has the same key parts as 42029, I plan to buy it only because the 4 57515s.
  21. For crawler MOCs? I think you should buy 9398 anyway. For one, it has more pf parts that let you build more than one model at a time, which I think is a big plus since you don't have to keep breaking down models for new one. Second, it is actually a very good part set, long hard shock absorbs, big off road wheels, portal wheel hubs, steering arms, links, all of which are key parts for crawlers. More than that, it has a couple of white panels, and some white and orange parts, I like those colors and they can make your MOCs less boring than the red/black/yellow ones.
  22. Thanks and glad you like it. Here is one more detailed pic, and I wish I had a couple of black 32009 though.
  23. Using Sariel's review videos, built 42031-----42037, of course, had lots of compromises. I tried to reproduce Sariel's pic below: Added some other sets:
  24. I watched the video another time and yes, you are right, the instruction is right and you made a mistake between 3'00" and 3'10"", Anyway, thanks again for all your great videos!
  25. Hi, Sariel I tried building 42035 using your review video yesterday and I noticed that the instruction might have some error on the upper struct of the dumper. You built according to the instruction at first and then I think you changed the building. Am I right about this?
