  1. I've never understood the value of this set. It just looks like a box of random parts to me, and that seems to be the extent if it. Is there something in that book that makes these parts seem not so random?
  2. Why was the baseplate tilted? Edit: And how did you get such a nice screenshot?
  3. I can't figure out why this baseplate is tilted like this. It doesn't appear to be attached to anything. I didn't count the studs, but IIRC, the center area is only 30x30 studs, so I wasn't really expecting this to work. Note: I didn't assemble this. Someone in this thread did, though I can't find the correct post now (not the one on that particular page). fort_legoredo_weird.lxf
  4. Very impressive! How long did it take you to build this?
  5. It looks great. Good job!
  6. I love the floor.
  7. I don't remember any of the other series smelling bad. This does remind me, though, of a toy I got when I was a kid. It was a pack of some superhero-ish generic action figures from the dollar store. They smelled so bad my mom made me get rid of them. They stunk up the entire room. I've never encountered anything like that since then. Whatever material they used is probably outlawed for toys now.
  8. Looks great! I need to try building odd-numbered width stuff some time.
  9. I like it!
  10. I wouldn't ever call something a MOC unless I made it from scratch with no instructions whatsoever. MODs are still cool though. I would just say they're two completely different things.
  11. I can't get it to work. Have you tried it? Edit: Never mind. It finally worked.
  12. I love that police car. It looks like it's straight from a 1980s City set.
  13. I may have found a bug with the old dragon. I can't get the wings to go on because the clips on the body are not at a nice angle.
  14. Haha. I saw that when I did a Google Image search for "Lego grandfather clock." There's no way I could top that. I'm just trying to make a minifigure scale one though. I was going to put this clock in my western fort, but it was too tall for my walls.
  15. Ok. Thanks!
  16. Thanks! That's the part that bothered me the most in the clocks I found online, so I'm glad I was able to get that right. Edit: Also, I saw a lot of people using minifigure legs. They look nice, but I'm not a fan of mutilating minifigures.
  17. I like how you used video tapes for the stove.
  18. I made a grandfather clock last night. I think it looks pretty good for a cheap, very basic clock from a time period where most people used them in their homes. I'm looking for ways to make it a little fancier. What do you guys think? I didn't find any on Google that I liked better. I've attached the LDD file. PS – I wasn't sure which forum to put this in since it's not related to any theme in particular. I hope this forum's ok for that. Grandfather Clock.lxf
  19. Well, it's your site so you can do whatever you want to do. I just wanted to let you know about the problem.
  20. Is the train going to be all Technic?
  21. I'm not sure which one you need, so here are both. http://adclick.g.doubleclick.net/aclk?sa=L&ai=C4GNbW23LUo-UDYvYwQHD-YHIC4Gmp5AE8cHb03LAjbcBEAEgAFCAx-HEBGDJtr2I9KOcEoIBF2NhLXB1Yi03ODAwNDE4ODE1ODU3NzIyyAEJqAMBqgR_T9BhjhPi7bY5JagTExot9J8YV1H8WeLTGj2kBuv-LLqePvrpt9ReZhhfPlgCun9A1bqImW9lEi26365ebShcGF7EvJkc1fG5tfNAX7O3RZWHDKIKfFMmoS0FUc8hVN3_BZhBw2Hyk5oFytrSdPrhRyuXunzeql9cjfPTgcYaf4AG4szIx46UiqLQAaAGIQ&num=1&sig=AOD64_2v9PK_vtj8tr-40-E_GvCBJ3mquw&client=ca-pub-7800418815857722&adurl=http%3A%2F%2Faw.us.kejet.net%2Fc%3Ff%3Deurobricks%26v%3D1389063515%26d%3DMc%26c%3Dk%26m%3Dnd%26n%3D2%26g%3Dhttp%253A%252F%252Fvda.gtarcade.com%252F%253Fq%253D131210UbxRC0X%2526sid%253D%2525SD%2525 http://vda.gtarcade.com/?q=131210UbxRC0X&sid=366548896
  22. I really like that you have windows at the bottom. It reminds me of a show I saw when I was a kid where some rats told the story of the cobbler and the elves. I wish I could remember what show that was.
  23. Wow, that looks like a great list. I love old pirate movies. (The Sea Hawk is one of my favorites!) They're missing what I consider to be the best pirate movie of all time though. (Sadly, it's always missing from these lists.) In 1990, an all-star cast consisting of Charleton Heston, Christian Bale, Oliver Reed, and Christopher Lee produced a made-for-TV film of Treasure Island. It's the best version of this story ever. It follows the book almost completely word for word. It's way better than you'd ever expect from a made-for-TV film.
  24. Maybe someone has already fixed it. I'm not getting that ad anymore. But I'll let you know if it shows up again. Thanks!
