I actually prefer the soft fabric for capes. The starched ones don't move freely when you're putting the minifigures on horses and things like that, and they're much more likely to wear out.

Which set is this? If it's trans green, I bet that means we have a Space Police GWP coming up. -
Lego Licensed Parts available from Bricks & Pieces

I'm getting nervous about the space torsos. I've already ordered the rest of the parts for the minifigures. Why aren't they available? -
The prices used to be much lower. There's just so much demand now, they couldn't keep up with orders if they were still selling entire minifigures for under a dollar. I hope Lego's popularity decreases in the near future so the prices (both new and used) fall back down to earth.

Years ago, I bought 100 green classic space minifigures. I also bought all of the 2015 Pirates minifigures before the sets were released. They were less than a dollar back then. I used to have an army of the bluecoats. I wish I had kept them.

Well, right now, I'm building a forestmen display, so there aren't a lot of opportunities to use those parts at the moment. But eventually, once I have the funds to buy more castles, I'll build a larger Lion Knights castle. I'll have a bunch of high ranking knights with capes, several flags on the castle, and some more in the cavalry. I do have a couple Lion Knights in my forestmen display though. The forestmen tied one up and left him in the woods, and the king has a bag in his head, being lead back to the forestmen's stronghold. The forestmen have laughing faces and the guy tied up on the ground has the freaking out face. 😂 -
If you contact customer support, they'll send you the missing parts, and they come from your local warehouse, not Denmark, so it only takes about a week. They almost always mess up my PAB orders. But sometimes they mess up in my favor. I ordered 100 black conical helmets a while back and they sent me 200. And they often include several extras if I order something in large quantities.

It's a pack of three, regardless of which one you order. So my 13 packs are 39 pieces. I had ordered one of each to see what I would get. -

The Lion Knights flags and cape are 6409580, 6409509, and 6409588. The super overpriced black capes are 6345789 and 6335646. -
I can't remember which thread it was, so I'm posting this to both. Someone asked me to report back on the black capes. It turns out that both capes (spongey and starched) are just single capes with no extras. So it's a pretty bad price for what you get. However, I had ordered three of the Lion Knights Castle cloth packs, and they sent me 13. SCORE!

If it wasn't for that yellow blotch, that would be a really cool variant. -

It would have been amazing if they had used a regular forestmen hat on Robin Hood in that color. It's very unfortunate that they didn't. -

I prefer the blue, but as pointed out, the red differentiates them from the Black Falcons. I'll probably end up doing blue for special Lion Knights and red for the lower ranks. I do NOT like the white, however. The queen's white legs especially just look weird to me. I'm going to order some extra red legs to pair with my queen torsos. -
I wondered about that before I submitted it. I wasn't sure whether what I did counts as box art. It doesn't show the number of pieces, a set number, the Lego logo, or anything like that. But it's kind of borderline. But that's not the reason they gave when they rejected it. But to me, it's the only thing about my project that seems questionable by their rules, so I just removed it and resubmitted.
-
That's interesting. I went ahead and resubmitted mine after seeing this. I removed the word "explorer" from the description and I removed the box style banner from the main artwork. I wonder if it will be approved this time.
-
It really makes me wonder about the future of Lego Ideas. Why would anyone bother to do all this work to design a submission if it's this difficult just to get your idea approved for the platform? It seems like their decisions are completely arbitrary. You follow all the rules, then they reject it just because they feel like it. It's infuriating because it's really a slap in the face to all the people who put a lot of effort into their submissions.
-
Yeah, you summed it up pretty well. We get no explanation and we have no recourse. I would understand if they said they don't want any classic space ideas right now, but the website explicitly says that classic space is allowed when you fill out the submission form. I checked everything before I started the digital work. I imagine they have an internal reason for rejecting it, and it may be a very good reason. But they ought to communicate it to people before they submit their project. If they don't want to tell us because it conflicts with an upcoming set, then they shouldn't even reject it. They should just let it go through and reject it in the event it hits 10k supporters. It's that simple. What was the idea of yours they rejected? I wonder if they're rejecting everything related to classic space.
-
This is really cool. I'm glad you kept all of your MOCs. I'd love to see the Forestmen's Clifftop Lookout in particular.
-
Thanks! I hope you're right. The main reason I submitted this was because I wanted to get them in more colors. I noted before I started creating the digital version that there are no other spacebaby ideas on the site. Maybe all of them are being rejected? I'm really angry with Lego about it, to be honest, because I checked all of the rules before I did the work. It doesn't break any of the rules, but they rejected it anyway.

Those are tiles, not plates. It's legal to use tiles this way, but not plates. I bet they put all of these weapons into a single mold. It's probably considered a single element and comes in a bag.

Thanks! I've gotten a lot of positive feedback on that ship. If I ever do resubmit the idea, I'll have to make that the focal point. But I doubt they're going to accept any portion of this based on the feedback they gave me. I just realized my original Ideas submission was missing the image of the second land rover. I just added it to my original post.
-
Lego just rejected my submission to Lego Ideas. According to their canned response, it was rejected because it pertains to a "third party license" that they already produce. I'm incredibly frustrated right now because I put a lot of work into this project and I couldn't even get a chance to see people's response to it. I've thought about removing the larger ship to differentiate it more from the Galaxy Explorer and focus on the micro ships. But honestly, I'm not very motivated to do it at this point because it will probably just be rejected again. Since I couldn't submit it there, I'm posting the pictures here to share with everyone. I hope you like it.

Customer service doesn't know any more than we do. What I can say is that after you place an order for all the three, each item in your invoice has the same SKU and lists all three items.
