  1. Could this actually be a remake of Imperial Trading Post then? Maybe the leaker didn't know the difference.
  2. It's encouraging to see that the Blacktron torso is listed, but I'm getting increasingly nervous about the parts from 10305 and 10497 that have been conspicuously missing: the space torsos, pink shield, and the troubadour torso. The pink shield and troubadour torso were used in the CMF series, so I wonder if they want to keep them more exclusive. The Galaxy Explorer is apparently a Walmart exclusive, although they don't seem to have said so publicly. So maybe their contact with Walmart doesn't allow them to sell the minifigures? I've already bought all of the legs, air tanks, helmets, and heads. If they don't release the torsos, all of those parts will be pretty much useless. 😞
  3. The new DREAMZzz spaceship has the cutlass and pistol in dark pearl gray. That must be what we're getting in Eldorado Fortress. It also has the bicorne in black with no printing. I don't know whether that indicates Broadside will not have printing. We'll see.
  4. What sets are being released tonight? It's crazy that people are already lining up.
  5. Why do they have the waiting room up? Did new sets drop? It's not midnight yet.
  6. The vertical layout is really annoying because you can't gain that screen real estate back by scrolling. It doesn't make sense to filter as you're scrolling down. Your scrolling position is meaningless after you change the filter. It only makes sense for the filters to be at the top.
  7. I'm not a fan of female soldiers, but I would like to see more actual female minifigures. There's never been enough of them in historical themes. Even with the Lion Knights castle, there's only one dress in the entire set. I would have liked to have seen several varieties of dresses. For Eldorado Fortress, I would really like to see Anne and Camilla. Camilla never appeared in a set.
  8. I see no reason that they would use those. They don't match the current style. I think the new ones will have curves that make it look more cloth like. I also really hope they have red epaulets. I bet they will because the original set did and that part is only available in gold right now anyway. If they have to use a color change frame for it, I see no reason they'd choose something other than red. I wouldn't be surprised if it also had the gold one though.
  9. The retired the old mold. The new one has a different element ID.
  10. Has anyone been paying attention to what days they add new parts? I wonder if there's any pattern to it or if it's just seemingly random. I'm still waiting for the pink shields and the space torsos. I'm getting especially nervous about those torsos because they're long overdue and I've already bought all of the other parts I need for those minifigures.
  11. It's amazing how these really fit the Lego aesthetic without using anything that actually looks like a Lego piece.
  12. GWPs are generally pretty affordable because so many people just happen to get one they aren't interested in. I was able to snag up something like ten of the Forest Hideouts for reasonable prices. (At the time, it wasn't guaranteed that I'd be able to get more forestmen minifigures through PAB.) The biggest issue I have with GWPs is that I just really enjoying being able to buy small sets in the stores. I miss the days when I could walk into a department store for some unrelated reason and walk out with some small set that's super awesome. The only equivalent experience I've gotten in about a decade has just been the collectible minifigures, and now I won't be able to do that either because they'll be in boxes. I have to be more strategic in my purchases now, budgeting for large sets, looking for deals online, etc. I miss the impulse purchases.
  13. I had a similar experience when I was a kid. In 1999, I was looking for all of the Star Wars cans, so I also started collecting cans for recycling. I must have picked thousands of cans off the ground. I filled an entire room in our basement with these things. I was so excited about all the stuff I'd buy with the money I'd get for those things. I was hoping to buy some CDs. I ended up getting a lousy $11 for all of that work - not even enough to afford a single CD. I had to buy a cassette tape.
  14. I really like the tower with the yellow house. It's funny because I can't even recall any part of the castle that had yellow bricks. Because this feels a lot more Lego-like than the actual set.
  15. I hope that's true. That's a much more accessible price than the castle. At that price though, I think we can definitely count in it not including any baseplates.
  16. I find it very unlikely that it would disappoint us. I bet it's going to be very similar to 10305, just a little smaller. The only thing I anticipate being an issue for me personally is the super babyish pirates they've had recently, especially that new jolly roger. But I would still buy it and replace the pirates with something better, probably the 2015 pirates. So we've already gotten a ship, a castle, a classic space ship, and now Eldorado Fortress. The question is, what's next? That already covers their most iconic themes. Would they move onto later factions? Maybe a new Fort Legoredo!
  17. Star Wars is ALWAYS available. Pirates is one a decade at best. The choice is obvious.
  18. Dude, holy cow! Those are amazing! Look at all the other ones. They have a black knight and all of the forestmen. Even the plumes! I need to make ALL of these now.
  19. I'm really sorry for what you're going through. That's just heartbreaking. I hope you have good friends to support you in Texas. If not, you can always reach out to me. You seem like a great guy.
  20. It's crazy. I was an adult when those sets were released. It's criminal how few good pirate sets we've gotten since the '90s too. We've only had two small waves since pirates was retired in 1997 (I think). That's just insane when you compare it to how often we got new waves in the '90s. I hope you're able to collect all of those sets in the future. It was a great line. Apart from the new colors, it was still very similar to the 1990s pirates. Things changed quite dramatically after that with all the new molds and modern building techniques. I prefer the older styles myself because I love the simplicity. It's really unfortunate what's going on with Russia right now. It must be very difficult for you. By the way, what part of the US are you in now? Edit: I should add that I'm very glad you're not currently in Russia considering you're at the age you could have been drafted! I'm going to be pretty upset if they makea new dragon knight that only appears in a GWP. Dragon knights is probably my favorite castle faction as far as the minifigures go. If they make them, I want to buy them in bulk. You should ask that guy if this set has a raised baseplate! That's an awesome story. I really wanted Redbeard Runner when I was a kid. O remember standing in Walmart with my dad looking at that thing on clearance for $50. I know he really wanted to buy it for me, but he didn't have the money. You're very fortunate to have gotten that ship at such a young age. Looking at your profile, you and I have very similar interests, but we're separated by a generation, so you grew up with the 2.0 versions of all the themed I loved.
  21. Don't do that. They're expensive. If this rumor is true, they'll be in Pick a Brick a year from now for much less. You made me chuckle though when you referred to the 2009 pirates line as OG. I guess it has been a very long time indeed.
  22. The piece count seems a little low. I have a theory. The designers of 10305 said they had considered a raised baseplate at one point, and they said the tooling was still available. Is it possible that the new Eldorado Fortress will bring them back? This is the most iconic feature of the set, after all, and it was the first set to use the famous ramp and pit mold. If the set does include a raised baseplate, the part count seems high (unless it's a larger sized baseplate). Raised baseplates may not be strong enough to hold a set that size. If that's the case, it could be that the set also includes a ship, like the Imperial Trading Post. Eldorado Fortress had blue soldiers. If they were using red, I expect the leak would have referenced the Imperial Trading Post instead. It doesn't make sense to do a remake but change the faction. It would be cool to have red ones again though considering they've been unavailable since the 2010 ship. I prefer blue, though, personally, although I only had red when I was a kid.
  23. Yeah, same here. I was never able to find enough of them because they were always in such high demand. They really ought to add them to PAB.
  24. It's a different design ID, so I bet they made a new, higher capacity mold. If so, this likely means we'll see more of this hat in the future!
