  1. I proudly contribute the Le Protecteur (3A) to help eliminate the pirate scourge.
  2. Excellent frigate, you did a truly fantastic job builder her. The colors do seem a little odd in places, but it can always be explained away as the result of an eccentric captain. The time and detail you put into the rigging really paid off, and helps this ship look more and more like a proper sailing vessel. I'm really glad you chose to use custom cannons and anchors instead of Lego's versions. The custom ones look much better, especially for a ship of this size. My main complaint is with the ship's curves. It seems to be a bit much, and should be smoothed out. Nonetheless, this does not detract too much from the other amazing qualities of your ship.
  3. Nicely done. The roof certainly looks very Oleandish, and you included plenty of details I'd expect to see at a small country home (farm, boy chopping wood, well, etc.). Nice job with the uneven, rocky road.
  4. Excellent job. I really like the transition from tamed farmland to untamed wilderness. It really makes a convincing scene of some settlers just getting started on new islands. I also like that you added some variety to your tobacco plants.
  5. That was a fun story to read with some nice pictures to go along. The results are a bit of a disappointment, at least the crew was mostly saved.
  6. Nicely done, the machinery and office furniture are my favorite parts of the build. Even though, as you noted, other people have built similar things, it's still nice to see new ideas and designs. The building itsself is fine, but I'd add some more era-specific details. When combined with the torsos, it strikes me as being a more-modern build, perhaps late 19th century. Perhaps adding some lamps and a sign to the exterior and adding some more pirate minifigs as pedestrians could help.
  7. You're off to an excellent start. The rings attached to the deck are very nice (something I'll have to include in my next ship), and I like the unique pivot gun that you decided to include. I wasn't aware that older sailing ships actually included pivot guns, and you did a nice job portraying one. The aft sheer is very convincing, but I don't think the fore sheer is very apparent. It could just be the lighting or angles on the pictures, but to me it appears that the bow is fairly flat and lacking any sheer. As for the counter, I think it looks fine, but it is somewhat hard to tell from the pictures. As I said, you're off to a great start and I'm excited to see where this goes.
  8. Superb job, I absolutely love it . The overall design is excellent and the parts usage to create the cannons and anchors is fantastic. I would never have guessed someone could use the rowboat as a hull for a frigate, but you did it in a splendid fashion.
  9. Excellent mansion. The colors may be fairly simple, but they go an excellent job of capturing a Caribbean style colonial mansion. Fantastic work with the various accents on the building and the driveway looks very nice as well.
  10. That's a very nice fort with a nice blend of classic pirates colors and some more advanced building techniques. I like the custom cannons on the upper battery and that you spaced the cannons fairly far apart to give the gunners enough room to operate. I also like the various towers and shacks as well as the sloped wall. My main issue with the wall is the corner. I think it could be redesigned to incorporate the slope.
  11. I suggest Akron and Ile de Tyche.
  12. Fantastic scene. I love how you were able to create a row of very different buildings that look completely natural when placed next to one another. The quay is very nice as well with excellent details such as the arches and an effective use of texturing to create a weathered look. You did an outstanding job with the minifigures. The posing on each one looks very nice, and by giving them each specific roles it makes the scene come alive much more than if they were randomly placed throughout the build.
  13. Great story, very entertaining to read and a good build to go along. I like the curved pieces for pillars and the engravings on the pediment are very nice as well (though it appears the scales of justice aren't exactly even). Other small details such as the artist's easel and the reporter's table are well built as well. If possible, I'd have a paved plaza in front of the courthouse instead of grass. With all the pedestrian traffic, the grass will just die and leave nothing but dirt. Genius! I'm going to use that technique from now on.
  14. Thank you. I might have to stop by this week.
  15. Was that from the Park Meadows or the Colorado Mills store?
  16. It's always nice to read an amusing build, and I really like how well you incorporated the dreaded s word into your story. The build is nice as well. I like the table with all the food and drink. Sure looks like they must have been enjoying their selves. I recommend adding some details to the walls. A lamp, picture, or even mild texture (even in a well-maintained establishment such as this) can help improve an already good build.
  17. That is a nice little factory. I'm not too familiar with all the manufacturing processes you've shown, but they seem reasonable. It's also nice to see the progression from raw materials down to the end result. The floor texture is excellent. Fantastic job with the various textured bricks and tiles. I also really like the furnace and the air blower. I'll second what Bregir said and suggest you add some more activity. Right now it looks far too empty and some crates and additional minifigs would help it look much busier.
  18. A very nice build. Excellent representation of the first settlers just setting down. The vegetation is great as is the sand. I have no idea how that sailor is managing to carry a pig. Even if he can handle the weight, isn't the pig going to be squirming too much for the sailor to keep his balance?
  19. As I already stated, great ship. It's always nice to see unusual ships, and we don't get a lot of leeboards here. Can't wait to see some more pictures of her. That turtle is really clever. Very nice parts usage, and I'm glad the captain was able to survive.
  20. Excellent build, it really reminds me of some of the old Spanish missions in Latin America. The statues by the entrance and the stained-glass window above the door are great details, and the round window in the rear of the church has a really clever design.
  21. A nice build to capture a tragic situation. Hopefully stories like these will keep the memory of Oleon's lost heroes alive. I don't want to think about how long it must have taken you to place all those 1x1 round plates. Glad I'm not the only one.
  22. It's been fun to watch this evolve into its current state. Amazing job all around with plenty of details that truly make it stand out as a masterpiece. When are you going to start on the interior ?
  23. Welcome aboard Diego. That's a very nice intro build and I'm interested to see how your character develops. Don't let those reds fool you, we always need more members.
  24. You did a really nice job capturing a very somber scene. Nice job with the casket, and details such as the Corrington flag and the texture on the church's walls are excellent.
