There is nothing against it in the Charter, but right now players will be given preference when it comes to buying shares. Of course, the MCTC could try to buy shares on the secondary market.

I suppose so, but it won't provide any additional benefits. Also, common stock cannot be transferred, which eliminates its value as an investment. Please transfer 420 DBs to RNTC. What's the worst he can do? Hold an inquisition (I'm sure you weren't expecting that)? Please transfer 420 DBs to RNTC.

Certainly not one of my better builds, for which I apologize, but I had to get it out there. Comments and criticism are always welcome. A sequel to Kolonialbeamter's Home Alone An Unwelcome Visitor Joy was in the air. Ideas for the great wealth, and tax revenue, that were flowing in from New Terra filled the young Duke of Vele's mind. Reports on the exact amounts were still arriving, with each day bringing new news and even greater riches to the Royal Treasury, a fact that made the Intendant Général des Finances quite pleased. Standing in the great boardroom, well, it wouldn't officially be a boardroom for at least a day, the Duke almost smiled. Not only would these successes all but guarantee support for his proposals in the Court, but it would ensure his proposals would be fell funded. But suddenly the Duke’s thoughts were interrupted by three short knocks on the door. An Unwelcome Visitor by Capt. Genaro, on Flickr “Enter” said the Duke. “My Lord,” replied the servant, “I beg your pardon, but the workmen desire to know when they can resume furnishing this room.” “They may resume once I am finished” stated the Duke. “Certainly, my lord. Also, the Lord Calida is here and wishes to speak with you.” An Unwelcome Visitor by Capt. Genaro, on Flickr Startled, the Duke looked up. “Now?” The Duke’s mind raced. He hadn’t expected to deal with the Lord Chancellor until tomorrow. “Very well, in a minute, you may send him in. Cornelius” turning to the painter who had been quietly paining the whole while, “we will resume once I am finished, you may leave your equipment.” Cornelius bowed and exited through a side door as several servants arrived to prepare the Duke to receive Calida. Seconds after they had finished, shutting the side door behind them, the first servant reappeared through the main door, “Presenting Lucier Henri Calida, Lord of Courtia, Royal Chancellor to” but before the servant could finished, Calida brushed him aside and entered. An Unwelcome Visitor by Capt. Genaro, on Flickr “An unexpected… visit” said the Duke. “No doubt your spies informed you of my whereabouts.” “What is this?” hissed Calida, ignoring the Duke and holding up a piece of parchment. With a puzzled expression, the Duke took the parchment, and after careful examination declared “why, it certainly appears, just appears mind you, to be a piece of high quality parchment.” With the cold, dead eyes of a shark, Calida stared back for several seconds before repeating himself. “What is this?” “My I ask what exactly you are referring to?” replied the Duke, some of his boldness gone. Staring into those dark eyes was enough to frighten most men, and even the Duke Calida’s peer, wished he had several of his guards at his back. “Article IV” stated the ever-brief Calida. Pausing for a few moments to collect his thoughts, the Duke replied “It has the backing of the entire Court, well, at least of all the secretaries and the High Council. This draft of Article IV has been known for months, and I have yet to hear of any complaints from anyone other than yourself. Furthermore,” continued the Duc, becoming bolder as he went on, “furthermore, I assure you that the Order will get whatever exceptions it needs to continue looking for magic rocks or holy trees or whatever sacred thing you consistently waste the Crown’s doubloons trying to find.” “You could be imprisoned for making such remarks about the Faith” Calida growled, his normally unchanging face showing a flickering of anger, or possibly fear. “Yes, Calida, and even the Order’s temples are subject to tax,” threatened the Duke. “If my agents visited the main temple tomorrow,” “We will discuss this matter in Court” interrupted Calida as he turned, swiftly glided across the room and left as quickly as he came. An Unwelcome Visitor by Capt. Genaro, on Flickr Yes, joy surely was in the air, but as he stood there, the adrenaline slowly leaving him, the young Duke couldn’t help but wonder if he hadn’t gone too far. Regardless, it was too late to change anything now. Ships had been deployed, agents were making preparations, and tomorrow the whole Court would gather to see the Duke’s proposals signed by the King. Oh well, sighed the Duke feeling the official Charter safely stored inside his cloak, perhaps he’d feel better after a good night’s rest. An Unwelcome Visitor by Capt. Genaro, on Flickr

I'll go ahead and correct this. Thank you. Thank you for your honesty. I'll delete this. @Bregir (and everyone else): I apologize for the errors regarding nationality. That's completely my fault, and I hope that all the errors are corrected.

That would be the Tigerlilly. It was captured by your whole squadron, but to prevent duplicates and confusion, we only assigned it under one of your squadron's ships.

[COR-FB] Finally in Quinnsville
Captain Genaro replied to Bregir's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
Nicely done. The palisade is nicely done, and its curve and the tree stumps just outside the wall are great details. The bakery is nice as well, with some good colors and nice use of round parts to add some details, but it doesn't seem to be very colonial. Perhaps having the chimney on the exterior of the building or adding a sign over the street would help. What animals are exiting the gates? It looks like a sheep and possibly a goat, but I can't exactly tell. I would love to see a better picture of them if you have one. Hopefully the dear captain can get this town's, or at least his troops', morals back in order.- 4 replies

To add to what Phred said ,if you look at the ending and beginning values, we're not earning anywhere near that. Like all factions, we only earn what is in the Total Income column. I knew there was something I forgot to tell you.

[OL-FB2] Southern Isle: Delaying action
Captain Genaro replied to Franco Clarke's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
Another great continuation of a gripping saga. I'm really enjoying the various tales of Erwin and his efforts against the enemies of Oleon. The Leech looks like a swift little vessel that would fit right in with classic pirates. It's hard to make out all the details, but it certainly looks like a creative use of parts. One suggestion is to use some string to make some basic rigging. Some simple shrouds and stays could really help the vessel's look. -

[SR-FB] Ballad of the Mighty I
Captain Genaro replied to Mengish's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
It's always nice to see new faces on the Brick Seas, especially when they bring along a MOC as well built as this! The use of the tail piece to create the arched windows is particularly clever, and I really enjoy the overview shots with the various terrain and vegetation. Looking forward to your next build. -
Nestled under a hill on the vineyard's southern slope sit the massive wine cellars where barrels of freshly pressed grapes are sent to age. Although most of the Château's guests will only notice some laborers working on new wines, it is in the brick-lined rooms beneath the hollow hill where meetings to shape Oleon's future take place. Several government officials stand around a table while the vineyard's chief winemaker pours class after glass of the finest quality wine. How the military officer found his way into the cellar confounds even the chief winemaker's sharp intellect, but that it not his primary concern. After all, even with barons and counts filling every one of the Château's gardens, an official bearing the seal of the Intendant Général des Finances is sure to draw attention. Especially if he's wearing a hideous blue suit. Despite his best efforts, the chief winemaker can't help but smiling (somewhat sinister, some might say, but he's never looked the same since a boxing match left him with a broken jaw). And of course, why shouldn't he be smiling? Sure, one of the gentlemen is more concerned about keeping a full glass and plate, but the Intendant's official, the gentleman that really mattered, made it very clear that unparalleled business opportunities under the patronage of the King himself were about to elevate the vineyard to unparalleled heights. Empty barrels being carried off to the wine press where they'll be filled with this sweet nectar of the gods - a nectar to make fools drunk... but those with a sense for business rich.

I'm not Phred, but I was able to fix the issue. When you filled out the form, you selected "Trade Company" for "Are you paying as a trade company or an individual?" As such, the system thought you were simultaneously transferring money to MAESTRO from your account and transferring money to your account from MAESTRO.

Shipwrights Guild Hall (WIPs, feedback, and advice)
Captain Genaro replied to Bregir's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
Great idea for a thread and some real masterpieces in the works. @Bregir It might help if you're able to have the inverted slopes forming the bottom of the hull curve along with the rest of the ship. I'm not a fan of the straight line at the bottom of the hull, and I think elevating them by a plate or two where appropriate could help. @Legostone I second Bregir. The fishtail stern (I assume it's for the gallery) looks a little overdone right now. Not sure what you have in mind, but I think it should be less pronounced. @Maxim I That's quite the display you've got there. Hopefully you'll post some color pictures of the improved rigged (any the display) when you get a chance. -
