Perhaps but this is the company that will not let the Landspeeder set die...
-
Really? That's very strange.

Does anyone know if a figure can wear both a normal backpack (the kind hoth rebels wear) and a utility belt?
-
For nostalgia reasons I have to say the Imperial Dropship because that set was so cool when I was younger. Three stormies and then the black stormtrooper? For about ten bucks for a kid who had to ask his parents for a cheap set that was the real goldmine!

Bingo! Your turn!

No problem! It's actually to many of our consternation that the Star Wars theme hasn't gotten much if any (I can't think of any) dual molds and a lot of figures would benefit from this. Ackbar, Rebel troopers (they have short sleeves on their jackets that look like shoulder pads a little), General Calrissian (same as rebel trooper.), and grey pants with black boots should be mandatory on most Imperial Officer figures at least the named ones such as Tarkin. However that's for another thread.

Although its a scene that often takes much of the punches in people's criticism of the Force Awakens, I for one really enjoy the scenes that take place on Han Solo's freighter the Ervana.I especially love the sploodgy squishy squid creatures with immense maws of teeth. We all know it. The velociraptor equivalent of the Sarlacc (which now that I think about it is absolutely horrifying!) the RATHTAR. We will be getting a set of this scene but reportedly we will not be getting a Mold of a Rathtar, think Dr. Strange's set. While I hope this is proven wrong I decided to build my own! Nothing too fancy just quick and dirty that I built in fifteen minutes. But wait there's more! You can build your own! I used these instructions for a basic Lowell Sphere from the artist's website: Bruce Lowell Just add tentacles, eyes, and teeth!

Look up lego collectible figures, the more recent series, and you'll see tons of examples. Basically an arm or a leg have two separate colors that are molded together. It creates the appearance of either shorts or boots on legs and short sleeved shirts and gloved arms.

I've never actually done a BAM before only PABs at Lego Store. How much are the figures? Do you pay per figure?
-
A Mos Eisly Cantina battle pack....oh my god if this has opened the flood gates. Okay everyone when the Bounty Hunter pack comes out make sure to buy ten. If Lego sees how successful they are then they'll decide to do more character packs.

Post your general LEGO Star Wars questions here

Ashoka is $50? That's insane. New Death Star Tarkin on the other hand I got for $30, that's twenty dollars cheaper obviously, and his set is several times more expensive then Ashoka's. Is this just demand? Because i'd be surprised if Tarkin is in less demand then Ashoka. In fact i've noticed that many of the Death Star exclusive figures range at about $30. Maybe i'm just looking at the cheapest ones out there but I find it strange anyone would pay that much. Of course if you're only buying the set for her and literally care for nothing else then I suppose fifty is better then one hundred and thirty. BTW sorry, thats by American currency. How very American centric of me. -
That's actually really funny. Does the figure match up with the Rogue One version, you know besides the larger neck on the helmet.
-
Wrong. Close though. Its similar in theme and fits the seven samurai, magnificent seven vibe. Small semi diverse group of warriors have to fight an evil villain who has superior numbers.
-
Lowell Spheres. I just whipped one up super fast in fifteen minutes, not brilliant but the closest we're gonna get. ------- That'd be rather strange if 4-LOM ends up being a print on the Imperial Droid head. It wouldn't look right, 4-Loms head is more bulbous and cumbersome.

In memoriam of the Rathtar mold we aren't getting I will change my profile pic to a Rathtar. Considering this set was designed in 2016 its fair to say even this majestic blob of tentacles and teeth in plastic form could survive 2016. (annoyed but this will be the last time I will bring it up until the release six months from now.) In all seriousness we may be getting 4-LOM! We're getting a new Bossk! In the cheapest kind of set! That's incredible!

Its an example of where if all of the figures had been unique to this set, say replace Kallus with the female inquistor and Ezra with Zeb or Minister tua and Chopper with a rebel trooper, then immediately I think it goes from pass to must buy if your a rebels fan. Mini figures are very important to selling sets.

Well it depends. I don't want to just assume if its made in China that its bad because in reality there are a growing number of products from Chinese manufactures that are good quality. However Lego has a crazy pattern of parts produced there. The collectible minifigures are typically pretty good and the dual molding is brilliant however there is a slight difference in the plastic texture and printing occasionally. On polybags printing is notoriously bad. But i'm not familiar with what the quality of a full lineup consisting of every theme would be.
