  1. With those new pictures it just looks absolutely fantastic. Great addition to Varlyrio!! And I feel very honored that finally someone picked up my 2*1 plate technique!!
  2. @Infernunm: personally I've always considered Mitgardia corosponding to everything around the Baltic Sea e.g. Southern Sweden/Northern Germany. And heck, it's not always snowing in these countries!! If you take a look at my Mitgardia mocs you will find quite a bunch of them without snow ...
  3. here's the link to our last elections: http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=66954
  4. Really nice build from you again. An escpecially good job on the curtains. Only thing I'm missing is a student from Mitgardia!
  5. I'm sure Eric Grimmson is willing to run again!
  6. I thought I let you know that the community build is still going on and will even be expanded in the days to come!
  7. @SG: this here: http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=72986
  8. We definetely have very good relationships with Avalonia and we support their case against the drow and other nasty Nocturnian creatures. In fact, we were attacked by Nocturnus several times ourselves. On the other hand, Elon Chorian gave his daughter Lena to DeGothia. So be easy with our sometimes snobby neighbors to the southwest. Kaliphlin doesn't have a direct border with us, but we trade with them. Some of them support the drow though. And as my candidate for PM elections Eric Grimmson would have it, SAY NO TO DROW!!
  9. This is definetely the essence of Mitgardia. Well done! As for your fort, why don't you try to do a wall section first and contribute to our community build?
  10. that is a really cool idea, thanks NM!
  11. 1. kabel 2. Bluecoat 3. Carpenter, Sailor
  12. nice one, now that you added the story I got a good laugh out of it
  13. Once again a surely excellent moc by you. I really like how this new guild inspires us so much. I also like the story, although I surely hope you don't pull off another G.R.R.Martin by killing another of your heros! Oh btw, I think it would be cool if you also linked your Varlyrio mocs in the Varlyrio thread. It's easier to see how the island develops this way!
  14. Nice sea action. Guess next time a do a ship I'll do something like your background too. One little nitpic, I think you could do a better job on the rigging, it looks too simple.
  15. Guys, just a little hint: this thread is more for general discussions concerning the guild. I you would like to comment on the mocs please go to the thread directly!
  16. I'm still waiting for the ATC ships!
  17. that is a pretty cool vig mrcp6d. I really like the minifig posing and the dragon is nice too. God job!
  18. wow, one year of GoH, really cool. It's been an awesome building adventure and I've been here almost every day since the whole thing started. Before GoH I did the occasional pirate moc but had only recently posted my first castle moc. Now, 20 mocs and five volumes of Game of Thrones later I'm really happy that this has happened. I doubt I would have become this obsessed whith LEGO if it hadn't been for this project. A great thank you to our guild leaders who kept this runnig!!
  19. So, the poll is done and I'm proud to announce the winner is ... Ecclesiastes, the Master Mason of Valholl, and thus leader of the Mason's guild. However, since Soccerkid did a great job two and got a tie I announce him to be henceforth the Treasurer of the Valholl Mason's guild. Eccles, please p.m. me for you address
  20. how about the wall sections, I actually made four seperate ones but posted several of them at the same time. Will they be scored as seperate free builds? After all, its not only eccles who shelled out free builds. I guess Soccerkid and I were kinda productive as well. How about my Varlyrio moc, does that count as a Mitgardian free build? It's got a Mitgardian captain in it.
  21. What's that supposed to mean? We've come back with force, but it's not like we were completely in hiatus!!
  22. alright, all the people who have not voted yet have about 24hrs left to do so!!
  23. Thanks guys, I really like how we're having a very constructive discussion here. We should have that more often!! @Mikkel: A had thought about that too and added two pics of my first idea to the bs folder, I kinda like my current figuration a little better though, as it keeps the four corners more solid. Also the first build was getting a bit too large, so I rearanged the elements
  24. alright, I'm glad you guys like the colormix. As you can see in my older mocs I had thought of this before LEGO came up with the brick brick, and at first I wanted to use those instead. However, if your really look at old brick walls I think they look much more like this with quite a number of colors. I doubt though, whether adding a fourth color might still look good. As for the roof I'll try round 1*1s. Remains the question of black or red, but I guess I'll go for black, so that I can finally finish the yards on my endeavor too
  25. well thanks for the feedback guys. I basicly wanted to know whether you honestly think the mixing of red, dark red and orange looks cool before I spend the money on 200 or more 2*1 plates. As for the interior, I'm planning to give at least the upper story some interior, we'll see how that works out. I'm also wondering about whether or not to do the roof with round 1*1 bricks, as I have never used this technique before and I'm curious as wether it might be stable enough for such a large moc. so far the minifigs have no meaning, I'm having them there for checking out hights. However, yes this side is fronting the canal and being drunk in a city full of canals actually is a pretty dangerous
