Yeah, the stove is something I really like a lot too. When I was a kid we lived in an old house with stoves in every room. Actually a lot of work and dirt, especially when we as kids had to get the coal from the basement or take out the ashes. I was glad when our landlord finally installed a heating system by the mid-nineties. Today however, with gas and oil being so expensive people are getting back into stoves again and I certainly wouldn't mind having one again. The heat has just a completely different feel than the heat of a heater. And since open fire places are not very efficient, grandpa much rather needed the stove!

Thanks guys for the positive comments! I actually tried to stay close to the size of the other builds, that's why I didn't build anything bigger. @Kristal: No, don't worry. My Christmas was great. I had bought the Post Office for my kids and build this house to accompany it. They are still playing with it for hours, just what I had wanted to achieve. The real reason for the story is that I didn't feel like putting on any cheesy Christmas decoration. And who but an grumpy old grandpa would not decorate his house in even the slightest way?

Had a break in the cloud layer today and could enter my winter villag moc. Now on to new Mitgardia projects. Actually I'm still building on my trade mission, which is extremely brick and time consuming. Never before have I spend so much time on a single moc!

At the edge of the village lies a rather quiet house inhabited by an old man: Today is a rather nasty day. It's cold, wet and dark outside. Grandpa is happy that he's inside and has a warming fire going in the stove. Live has become rather lonely after his wife had died and the kids living in the big city now. At least they write him letters every then and now: Still, Grandpa feels really lonely in his house with no one around, especially around Christmas. So why bother to decorade? Ain't noone coming this way anyway! But hey, what was that? Has the bell just rung? Yes, surpise! It's Danny, Grandpa's grandson coming around with a Christmas tree, what a great day for ole Grandpa! House in comparison to another village structure: The car has acutally been in another of my mocs before, that's why I didn't put it into better perspective. Hope you guys like my little build/story. My kids at least loved it and keep playing with it for hours!

deng, I currently got several projects sitting on my desk blocking each other just because the sun doesn't show up. Man, I really hate this season! (may sound kinda odd coming from a Mitgardian)

Great scene SC, really love the waterfall and the way everything fits together. The only thing that looks kinda odd though is the cross cut black tree.

Definetely the best moc you have put together so far! I really like the fire place, the table and the chairs. All just looking really nice together! And thanks for inviting Steen, I'm sure he's glad to be there (although he usually wears grey sleeves )!

As I said, I do understand that EB needs to make money, so I do not have a problem with it in general. All I'm asking is whether the people in charge of this know what sort of advertisement runs here. And seriously, the "Bild" tabloid simply does not fit the idea of this community. Furthermore, I'd even donate for EB if they asked for it, same like I also donate for Wikipedia.

Hi there, So how to start this? Well, lets put it this way: I do see the need for advertisment in order to earn the dollars/euros/pounds/kronas or whatever to keep this page running. I also understand that advertising is regionalized, so I guess that in Germany I see different advertisement than in the US or Britain, depending on your IP adress. However, today I saw an advertising that I certainly would not like to see on this page and I wonder whether you, the administratos, actually have an idea of what is being advertised in all the countries? Personally, I'd rather donate the one or the other Euro to keep this site running instead of having to read advertisement for the "Bild" tabloid, a "newspaper" compareable to the Sun in Britain or US Today in the US. So my question is, do you really think it is neccesary to accept the advertisment from all the companies that would like to put their banners here? "Bild" is xenophobic, die-heart conservative, nationalistic and at times even racist. It's defenitely not something that I could possibly associate with this international community that is build on mutual understanding and to me, so far, a really cool way to transcend national idiologies through this amazing hobby that we all share. hope you don't mind this comment cheers, kabel

Dear Mitgardians, now once again I question you, what have the others done the past year? I, Eric Grimmson, am one of the most active Mitgardian Politicians, someone who does, not someone who talks So while others vanished just after their eclection, I took the defeat as a man, stuck around and worked for the benefit of all Mitgardians. I took over the urban planning committee and made sure to pacify the rowdiest areas of Valholl I was part of the team around Steen Larsson which was in charge of restoring the Valholl city wall and, as reserve officer, returned to military service and defended the save haven around the black rock temple from elemental terror: When I ran for office the last time I wanted to get our military ready - what did Mittenlander do? Lower taxes to deprive our forces of the nessecary funds to protect us! I wanted to get rid of the scum - what did Mittenlander do? He allowed the scum to collect in the areas around the bridge, breaking the law numerous times! I wanted our military to be alert - what did Mittenlander do? He allowed Orcs on the city wall! So Mitgardians, if you are sick of this neoliberal Agenda destroying our precious country, and if doub't people that have never been seen in this country before, vote for Grimmson the true Mitgardian! I'm glad you made the timeline because once again you've shelled out something absolutely beautiful. I really love all the action that is going on and the idea of showing the tunnels beneath the city is just awesome!

wow kai, this is a really cool scene. What I like about it how it's really scaled down yet very convincing, just the way the desert ought to be. I guess it's the mixing of tan and dark tan that I like to much!

guys easy, can't you see that this is all victor revolwrod's doing? he wants to drag mitgardia and avalonia into war with each other thus seperating old allies. We shouldn't let this happen!

actually I'm waiting for some 300 more 2*1 plates to arrive, it's taking the pab people quite a while this shortly before christmas as for the term papers, hey it's english grade 12, doesn't that sound like fun?

totally forgot about that deadline too, real life is pretty occupying this time a year, anyone wanna correct term papers for me?
