LEGO Star Wars III: The Clone Wars
SpiderSpaceman replied to BrickBob Studpants's topic in Culture & Multimedia
ok, the character list is extraordinarily disappointing no Pre Vizla? no Mandalorians, period? no Hondo Ohnaka? :cry_sad: -
Ok, but you gotta hide the fig's head to see, and you're right, that makes sense and I just never made the leap. ALL THE SAME It'd be good to have a number of manually planted camera/observer views you can just flip between like security cameras OR be able to walk through a model and see the interior in a way that just doesn't happen outside of "honey I shrunk the kids" it would be a perk that makes the digital experience truly unique. My opinion.

2011 NINJAGO sets
SpiderSpaceman replied to Klaus-Dieter's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
I still can't tell on that samurai guy. I thought for sure It was removable at first, only due to the matching straw hat guy. I hope to high heaven it is still. but it looks less and less like there's a clean seam to me. -

I now have the bike, the shredder, the ATV, and two polybag copters. Terrifically displayable ensemble. Just gotta get the monster truck in fall! -
assign bricks to light up, have more lighting options, turn off lights for glow in the dark mode especially if they were to have a walk through view, it'd be good to put some torch effects, tube lights. not with hinges. I often have to cheat connections and then I find myself wishing I could spin an area around as the hinge, but you'll always run into that floating part, or leave it behind. same principle here.

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 4 discussion
SpiderSpaceman replied to legokuate's topic in Special LEGO Themes
for the first, I've gotten enough of the "chinese plastic" figures that I've expected all the metallic parts to be really. dull. (especially now that they're spoiling us with gorgeous metallic shades in this year's sets) 2nd, I completely agree, I wasn't expecting gold but it's not so radiant as it seems in the cg 3rd, maybe yours is defective. I didn't really expect it to hold better. The 'skirt' is first and foremost a slope brick, and as long as they've been using as skirts (a looooong time), they've had about the same tightness of connection. and you get a lot of leverage with both the skirt and the torso being so tall 4th, yes yes yes. It's an awful fit. -

I want that so bad. Got a couple of those polybag ninjago skeleton helicopters at TRU though, they also had plenty of these: clone wars mini shuttle Might have to road trip it to New Orleans - as far as I can tell my TRU lets you go nuts. That said I only bought one complete set of 16 for myself. Got a bunch more, but that was a favor for my siblings: actual little kids who expressly picked them out. (and a musketeer and a figure skater for my mom, my newly converted minifig connoisseur ) Back to discussion of the figs themselves PRO TIP: put the viking head on the series 2 blackbelt. Our little viking friend IS Chuck Norris. -

Summon more ziggurats! yeah this is an excellent M O C. I guess now I gotta rethink the uses of those atlantis creature finned connectors - they look great combined with the regular angles and big teeth I'm on a seriously awful and potent all-things-fantasy-tower kick this instantly made me think of both Stephen King's novel series "The Dark Tower" and Rush's song "The Necromancer" "As gray traces of dawn tinge the eastern sky, the three travelers, men of Willowdale, emerge from the forest shadow. Fording the River Dawn, they turn south, journeying into the dark and forbidding lands of the Necromancer. Even now the intensity of his dread power can be felt, weakening the body and saddening the heart. Ultimately they will become empty, mindless spectres; stripped of will and soul, only their thirst for freedom gives them hunger for vengeance..." and then SirSven here mentions warcraft 3 and my ashamedly geek mind all goes to heck. but again, love the model

REVIEW: 8804 LEGO Minifigures Series 4
SpiderSpaceman replied to WhiteFang's topic in Special LEGO Themes
yeah, dazmundo's post should answer ya, it's been a tradition at least since Islanders, probably before. What I'd never known: you can do the same with the rifle, musket, and star wars rifle. -
first person Minifig views. (place 'observer' figures inside a model and see through their little eyes - bonus: walking them through would be amazing beyond words) Online realtime Co-operative building. (I have a ton of little cousins who would be ecstatic to build with me from afar) Include Universe mode automatically hinge animation loops on a timeline put flex abilities on all the technic tubing I cheat it all the time, but a "drop to surface" feature would be nice

speaking of generator rex, Sym-Bionic Titan would do for a terrific model. I've been slowly putting the titan together in ldd, terrific crazy greebled purple and yellow with a casing of clear panels and canopies... My dream of a Samurai Jack license is unwavering. movie's in the works...
