Shush it! Mera's a personal favorite! So are Granny Goodness, and Vandal Savage most of all. Everybody disspectin' my faves! And I hope they slip Deadman and Big Barda in at some point with some unknown add on. Because. -

I feel like platinum (and if we're talking omissions, the other metal men) should have had access to plastic man pads too. Also, plastic man and brainiac should be automatically in the quick select free play rosters, since they have the arbitrarily unique abilities. Also, where Metamorpho at? Owlman? -

Now that's my deadshot! and captain boomerang looks fantastic too. Bummed about Waller -
so the tongue piercing there is just keeping his closed mouth in the right position? This is super good.

(Not) LEGO Dragon Lands, Wave 2
SpiderSpaceman replied to Nuju Metru's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
I misunderstood this at first and thought "well that's not so well phrased/kind of offensive" but then I got it and laughed heartily at my misinterpretation. I wish I could buy these. You should just get a job with Lego and bring your product pitch with you. That's where monster fighters came from, right? A guy who'd fleshed out the concept before he got in, and it was so good they let him do it.- 32 replies

Yep, Another "Battle for the Gold Mask" Entry
SpiderSpaceman replied to Nuju Metru's topic in LEGO Action Figures
Huh I wouldn't even have registered that that was a rarity. Honestly I was so entranced by all the facets of the design that you can see in the main image that after the main attention grabbers I had to take a minute to remember to look through all the brilliant details, and the last thing that caught my eye "oh cool crooked handle on the flail.. oh there's a matching handle on his leg, like a bladed weapon he can switch to, awesome" and then looked at the other pictures to see if the other weapon would get featured. and then said "oh yeah, look, it does get pulled out. cool." But funny enough I didn't pay any attention to the part. It just registered as thick metallic weapon like the inescapable potato wedges of power. But now, looking at the side view and all that, that really does add something special onto an already crazy good model. -

I love the characters' unique animations. I like that Aquaman has this whole "Drop a shark" special that happens now and again, Atrocitus rides/sends out the Butcher entity, has Dex-Starr pop over his shoulder... Which looks ridiculous when player 2 IS Dex-Starr, but whatever Also, Harley's hammer moves! she's got the flash spin (awful friendly fire when you forgetfully try to use the flash build platforms), bigfig smash. Vampire Batman has capey stealth and flies. Superman fast builds, the dogs fast dig. Just so many great secret moves and abilities -
Love the little machines! Perfectly captured. Hardware stores forever!

I don't know if Ronnie was ever firestorm by himself, but whatever. Think they should've done deathstorm too, for the sheer ridiculousness. Just make that scene his special move: transmute the air into a giant tombstone that falls to the ground and makes a shockwave -

Feetal's gizz, that's what the frag I'm talking about! Still, shoulda had a hook on a chain with the Catwoman/Indy whip move rather than that scimitar, but the figure itself looks so absurdly perfect that I won't complain -
100% agreement on this. Soundtrack perfection, besides a little bit of rhythm rigidity and a really badly synthesized marimba or something Haha, not a bad plan all in all. I'm gonna pace myself on the Bionicle just because I'm gonna splurge on the DC sets, so it's not like I'm any kind of saint of moderation

Oh alright, I'm familiar with that guy's stuff, have some of the better Bionicle-minded deviantart members bookmarked on my computer, but A) I don't regularly check for anything new, B) that's a really faithful recreation of the series' aesthetic rather than his usual, and C) the zoomed in segments in the facebook post I linked looked like they could be animation frames - the full art, not so much because of the obvious "wallpaper" format. So, I think my first buys are Gali and the Ice Protector. Are we talking about first buys? I dunno, I just wanted to add set discussion so this post wouldn't just be an "oops, nevermind"

Is this official or fan work? https://www.facebook...86716566&type=1 If official, that's another easter egg for ya in Gali's waterbendi... water manipulation.

It sounded like we were getting Waller - the panel moderator dorkus was asking if we'd have Waller or "The Wall" and the developer answered The Wall, by which they meant classic big woman Waller and not New52 svelte Waller - buuuut I guess it was just a "what if" because there aren't any slots between Alfred and Aquaman. -

I figure they'll probably hang on to all the core bat-villains... I think they're reaching extra far for the bigfigs so they'll all be unique and interesting, but since they got out to the "Dark" corner of the DCU, my only final hope is that they grabbed Deadman and Etrigan while they were out there (I have no doubts Zatanna's in already, with the other LB2 DLC characters that broke through to full inclusion this go-around) I wish there were definitive HQ renders of every lego game character, and that they'd throw them in the back of the character encyclopedias. The Batman one skimmed the surface with a 2 page spread or so of Lego Batman games. Tt could provide DK with some nice standardized shots so it could be a whole section. I wanna be able to look through all the great character designs without having to jump into the game and cycle through. Take some pride in your resources, designers! Tangentially, I wonder if there's a Lego Marvel character encyclopedia coming up. They've already got a sizeable cast of physical figures, the timing's right with Avengers 2, and I'm itching to see who they'll jam in the cover. But again, sad that Elektra, Blade, Gambit, Professor X... won't make the cut because there aren't nice clean official pictures. But back to DC! -

I never thought it would happen! My favorite character! I hope they graft (*groan*) Poison Ivy's power set onto him along with the standard bigfig capabilities. -
I thought it felt somewhat more competent than The Clone Wars but then again: I've watched those episodes multiple times, a bunch of them captivated me on first watch that weren't that great later, and I watched the Rebels episode at 2:00 in the morning But it didn't have: Battle droid "humor" A radio announcer intro Insipid fortune cookie title cards Artificially extended story arc at the loss of any substance to an individual episode A name like this inane adjective verb trainwreck: Savage. Oppress. Or the godawful Matt Lanter putting the emphasis on the wrong word in every line, so that counts for something. And I think I saw more than one texture on the 3D models Also it ended with authentically comical impromptu murder. Did I just start a whole lot of sentences with inappropriate sentence-starting words like conjunctions? I did? 50 lashes! I do like a lot of stuff from the clone wars - I thought it had great visuals and battles and some great characters. New things that were better than what's in Episodes 1 - 3: Hondo, Cad Bane (and I hope those two are from long lifespan species, because they gotta show up some more) everything on the Talz planet, the commando droids, the aqua droids, the Malevolence, Dooku's home, the witch planet... As well as making some amazing things out of existing E1-3 side characters like Plo Koon. The Clone Wars plotting and scripting is generally not for remotely intelligent people, is my point overall with the "competence" comment, but there's good stuff in there.

This was on the page eurobricks dropped me off on when I clicked through to the topic, and I decided to hit multiquote and go through the rest of the pages because I was sure somebody caught it first, and of course Lyichir did. But my kneejerk reaction to seeing the name was "Oh righteous, that's a girl's name" Surely we're due for a new comprehensive character encyclopedia next year, huh? Next best thing to being able to have a full set of figures - and I've missed a lot of figures so far.
