But BrotherDog, red bulls give you wings! Obviously the part models in the animation are representations rather than replications, but it's so specific that it couldn't be depicting anything else. It's unmistakably the same element.

Hear, hear! From the lion head I think we can count on great, deroboticized but still stylishly geometric, gorgeous molds.

This is kinda what I've been wanting. https://tinkercad.com/things/da7JHlNbX5h-mockup-lego-ballsnap-plates Though now that you mention it, there's surely a more full bodied ball cup that can be orientation locked and sit low profile on a middle of a HF bone. -
How's about a crew of characters from Night of Owls? A bunch of Talons, Harper Row, owl armor Lincoln March, Batman in crazy thick armor.

Yeah that guy needs a good punch in the face or something. I'm gonna watch the video muted to see the figure, I don't care to see how he pronounces it enough to suffer through listening to him -

Hey so here's an idea for how an insect faction could work: locust people arrive to destroy all the chi and the enemy factions call a growling truce to stop them -

Y'know the one that makes my brain spark is the dark brown croc. I guess it's not that that's not a respectable reptilian hue, it's just so far removed that it doesn't register as one of the group. I think I need to see it from another angle/higher definition -

Ok, you're kind of my hero now for that 'boarder positioning trick. Yeah, silver and gold seem to be the colors, which has me excited. I wasn't really thinking about it before, but 10 is a landmark and gold seems to signify that they know it/have something extra great planned -

I wouldn't call each species a faction - Even though each has their own obvious aesthetic, the eagles and lions are united under one symbol, as are the crocs with the ravens and wolves. Wolves are definitely my favorite (clawed face guy especially). I would like to see a third bunch with a couple of species involved. Well, after all, ninjago had the skull bike and the fire bike, each with a antagonist and protagonist, and both were about as meaty as that thing. I still think that the "tank treads as belt drive" thing looks pretty dopey, but the olive green tempts... -

Haha you beat me to it. Saw the pics over at brickset, grinned and thought "ok, now they're just making fun of hasbro's sorry butts." Still, it's a transformer that doesn't transform - if they were "showing how it's done" that would be rectified -
2013 Friends Sets - Rumours and Discussion
SpiderSpaceman replied to Klaus-Dieter's topic in LEGO Town
Not only new colour, that's the first non-"flying vee" guitar, period. Rock on! Aw man I love the cat's climbing platform and post. Really well designed and eye catching pet environments all around really. Ok and I'm definitely getting the soccer and karate sets. Everything about them is fantastic. The minidolls, the details, the shapes of the builds. I would say I gotta get the magic one too, but now I see that all the parts I want from it (purple, stars) are in 41004, so I'll just pick that one up. I like the 'Joanna' minidoll, and I like that we finally have pool/beach minidolls wearing clothes appropriate for getting wet in I am still mad that they haven't provided the kitchen accessories in a sensible color in a cheap set yet. Oh wait a minute, that's marked series 2 and promises a hedgehog set and poodle set as well -
Here's one that should be simple to make a clean and professional decal for: DC's El Gaucho!, the Batman of Argentina (This guy pretty much got it spot on with his action figure custom, but I'd like the bolas hanging on the right hip. Oh and go heavy on the chest hair?) Thanks in advance to anyone who takes it on. One other thing: I don't know if it's better to do all print like iron fist, or just print the eye portion on flesh tone and top it off with a LEGO Pirates bandana. the only difference would be background color and no printed tails on the flesh, so if it's not a hassle to do both ways, both ways would be cool to have.

Y'know, you may have inspired me to build a hyper-revamped best thing from that Christmas when I was 5. I remember opening this up right by Granddad's creepy player piano. It was magical. (Leonardo as firetruck, specifically)

When did comic books start to get aimed at adults?
SpiderSpaceman replied to lotryay's topic in Culture & Multimedia
Almost on topic, "kids don't come to the store/comics aren't kid-appropriate," here's a gem from some old catholic catechism, about avoiding the "near occasions of sin: bad companions" This is what a favorite of mine, DC's Lobo, celebrates the absurdity of. Off the back of the collection "Lobo: Portrait of a Bastich": Lobo is basically a living, killing, chuck norris joke. I believe the ninja turtles also began as a satire of dark, grim comics. -
