Not yet or at least I haven't heard about anyone finding them here in the States. Just need a little patience and keep checking because word travels fast on here and when they start showing up in the US believe me, you'll know.

According to peeron the forestman hat in the vintage minifig collection IV is the same as the old style ones. I was just going by that. It might be a new mold for all I know though and it's not really a big deal. The only point I really wanted to make is Lego could make another Luminara fig if they really wanted to.
-
Luminara was produced in 2005. Not quite 10 years old. If Lego still has the mold for the forestmen hats which were not made for 13 years, I would imagine they still have this mold as well. We could definitely see her appear in new sets later on.

For what it's worth, the picture on the instructions shows the Black Knights on the boat and the Black Falcons on the shore. It looks to me like they just threw them in to give you someone to battle against.

Try bricklink or ebay. He'll set you back over $100 though.

His face in the pic above looks exactly the same as the one in the CTT review on here, IMO.

Looks good and you got Wedge's red 2 ship designation correct as well! For some reason Lego thinks Wedge piloted red 3.

What other SW "Battle Packs" would you like to see?
Destroydacre replied to BearHeart's topic in LEGO Star Wars
With only 4 years of battle packs going so far, any 'trends' are speculative at best. I'd be very surprised if Lego didn't release Endor battle packs next year. -
Great review. The Dark Forest sets never seemed to be particularly popular, but I always thought they were very cool. This is one of the favorite castle sets that I own. I think they always got compared to the forestmen line, which is kind of unfair as the forestmen were maybe the most popular castle theme Lego has ever made. The layout of the structure is fantastic (although it might be tough getting prisoners in and out of the cell. I guess that's why there's a skeleton in there!) and the wagon that comes with this set is pretty sweet. A great set that I guess was hard to get in some places.

The Gunship is gone. When the status is listed as sold out on Lego.com, that's pretty much it. As for the dropship, it'll likely still be around in August, but there's no guarantee. Unfortunately Lego doesn't announce when sets will sell out, but the larger sets tend to last for at least 2 years and it's only been out for 1.

I'm not sure Lego even makes bricks in sand red anymore. Maybe someone else knows?

This is the 3rd or 4th time I've heard someone mention or ask about the new AT-AT being in the 'correct color' or something to that effect. I'm at a loss here, what am I missing? The color used in the original 4483 looks fine to me. Is it a grey/bley issue or something else?

You never know. In January the rumors page had the battle packs listed at $15 in the US, but they retailed for $11 so the $50 for this set is not guaranteed. However it does appear that Lego's prices are starting to revert back to what they were pre 2002 ish.

I agree, this pack is a pretty big rip off. The Swamp Speeder was packaged much the same way, put in a box way bigger than it needed to be in order to 'justify' the price. Barriss is a lovely fig though and I really like the new Phase II Clone having the dotted mouth to match the stormtroopers, so this does have some redeeming qualities. The battlepacks are meh and my least favorite of all the ones Lego has released so far. Thanks for the great review maxi, and your English was fine.

True, but the prosthetic had a textured skin that matched Luke's so it looked like a normal hand. Hence he has 2 yellow ones in this set. After leaving Tatooine, he puts a black glove on his hand (which got shot while on Jabba's barge), which is why any Luke figure on Endor or DSII should have one yellow/flesh hand and one black one. Wow am I a nerd or what?

Alot of new Summer 2010 sets are on Toys'R'Us.com!

I wonder how many of those sets had the typical TRU price mark-up. -
WTB: Damaged Darth Vader from Rogue Shadow
Destroydacre replied to Destroydacre's topic in Buy, Sell, Trade and Finds
The figs from the magnet sets are of lower quality. I was considering buying the magnet set because it's been discounted on S@H, but a friend of mine bought one with the damaged Vader a couple weeks ago and said it was made of the inferior plastic. Lego probably just discounted it to get rid of them. Come on there's gotta be someone on here that has a damaged Vader for sale. -
WTB: Damaged Darth Vader from Rogue Shadow

I know but the fact that the store has 11 just screams magnet set to me. I was hoping to find someone on here rather than having to email all the bricklink sellers asking which set it came from until I find one from the Rogue Shadow. But that might end up being what I have to do. -
WTB: Damaged Darth Vader from Rogue Shadow
Destroydacre posted a topic in Buy, Sell, Trade and Finds
Hey guys, I'm looking to buy a battle damaged Darth Vader figure. I want to make sure to buy one that is not heavily used (no chew marks, no loose arms etc) from 7672 Rogue Shadow and not from the magnet set. If anyone has one for sale in his or her bricklink store or is otherwise willing to part with one, please let me know so we can work out the details. I would prefer to buy from North America for the time being. Thanks! -
Actually, I do believe this set is exclusive to Wal-Mart, in the United States anyway. TRU online does not have it and the local TRU never had it either. I've never seen it (or a spot on the shelf for it) at Fred Meyer, K-mart, Target or Shopko either. Only at Wal-Mart.

I don't see any reason why they couldn't release both next year.

Keeping SBD minifigs in good condition
Destroydacre replied to NarakuAulonocara's topic in LEGO Star Wars
No smoke doesn't damage lego pieces, however legos do tend to hold the smoke odor, which is pretty unpleasant. It's hard to get rid of as well. -
Motorized AT-AT - backordered for 10th Jan. 2011!?
Destroydacre replied to pdxbricks's topic in General LEGO Discussion
I just looked and the expected shipping date has been set back to May 14 in the United States as well. Seeing that date set for January 2011 is pretty odd though, I really don't expect the set to be available much longer especially with the new AT-AT coming out as others have said. Good luck getting the set from Lego, pdx. -
Keeping SBD minifigs in good condition
Destroydacre replied to NarakuAulonocara's topic in LEGO Star Wars
I can't make any guarantees, but I have quite a few battle droids in my collection (super and regular) and I've never had any battle droid piece break. The droids have been assembled since I got the sets so some of the battle droids have been put together for 11 years and my blue SBDs have been assembled for 8. My battle droids also have been handled very lightly over the years, which is an important detail. A lot of people have had battle droid pieces break. If you're worried about pieces breaking at all, I would agree that keeping the droids disassembled is the way to go. But like I said, I've never had any problems. -
Just thought I'd revive this given that the NHL regular season concluded today. The Sharks got the 1st seed in the West thanks to Detroit beating Chicago this afternoon and play Colorado in the first round. Did your team make the playoffs? Any predictions? I may post some later on.
