  1. Probably round just because the human body doesn't have any 'points' like that (at least not that I am aware of)! To be perfectly honest, before I opened this thread, I had no idea that there was ever any change.
  2. I agree with this for the most part. I never bought the CW sets. Not because they were CW, but because I thought the figs in those sets were horrid. But if Lego starts producing CW sets (such as the ARC 170, Swamp Speeder etc) where the figs look fine, then I plan on buying them. For me it's a non issue, but I won't go so far as to say it doesn't matter completely, just for the sole fact that it keeps getting brought up. If people keep bringing up the topic, then obviously to a lot of people it is important. I think creating a separate thread for this was very wise and who knows, maybe this one will end up getting pinned eventually, too!
  3. The brick separator will solve all these problems. Ask anyone who owns one, they work extremely well.
  4. Seahawks pick 6th and 14th this year. With the right picks and one or two good FA pickups, maybe they can at least finish at .500 next year.
  5. No I have never experienced any paranormal activity and I don't believe in ghosts, aliens etc, etc. None of that stuff.
  6. I saw a couple short SPIII films on there a little while back. They were pretty amusing. Great way to market their toys to kids.
  7. I'd have to go with the Walking AT-AT and in my mind there's not much disputing that.
  8. There isn't any rule that says a particular figure has to be released X amount of times per year. It just happens that none of the sets Lego chose to produce this year featured scenes in the movie where Leia was present. Same thing goes for Luke not appearing in any sets last year. Pretty cool to see the new printing on the clone trooper helmet.
  9. Patience! I usually check the expected arrival date so I have a general idea when something is going to arrive and then I don't check again. Yeah it's fun to see your package getting closer and closer, but in reality it doesn't make your package ship any faster. I hope anyone who lives near a Lego store doesn't take it for granted though. They are able to obtain exclusives the moment they are paid for rather than having to wait for items to be shipped.
  10. Wherever you keep them make sure they are off the floor! I lost a couple several years ago when an old pipe in my house sprang a leak while I was away.
  11. I agree it really doesn't make a difference how Lego chooses to classify their sets. For people who do care though, I have noticed that the astromech droid printing for CW sets differs from the droids in the movie sets. R4-P44 has a printing style that matches those found on the OT and PT sets for what it's worth.
  12. Seahawks fan here. Seattle is quite possibly the worst team in the NFL at the moment. I honestly can't believe this team managed to win 5 games.
  13. Having sealed Lego sets is extremely overrated, IMO. I buy Lego for the pieces not to look at the box. I only have 10 or so sealed sets, all of which are doubles. I plan on opening them at some point in the future as space permits. I personally don't see the point of buying Lego pieces to not use them.
  14. Not even a week ago I was doing some last minute Christmas shopping at a game and sporting goods store here called White Elephant that also happens to carry Legos. They had 2 Twisted Time Trains which were released in 1997.
  15. The CW battle packs were $11 also. One extra dollar isn't too bad though. A lot of sources listed the BP's as being $15. I'm not really sure where that number came from, but thankfully they are not that expensive!
  16. Marleau is probably my favorite Shark. It's always nice to see him do well and I am very glad the Sharks didn't trade him. Heatley is a prime talent in the NHL and the Sharks did have to give up quite a bit to get him, the biggest names being Michalek and Ehrhoff. Heatley's had a good year so far this year, but will he be what the Sharks need to get over the hump in the playoffs? That's the million dollar question in San Jose.
  17. Sharks fan here too. I was going to comment on their perennial chokeability, but Natman beat me to it! Maybe this year...not holding my breath though!
  18. Wow Tyrant, have you been reading my mind? I couldn't have said it better myself. The only thing I disagree with is the part about being entertained. For me this movie was a complete waste of time. For some reason it seems that because James Cameron made a move, people feel obligated to say how awesome it was. Sure he's made good movies in the past, I don't dispute that, but just because it was produced by Cameron doesn't make it great. I'm pretty disappointed that so many people are going on and on about how wonderful this movie is because it has a really sorry plot which was badly written and poorly executed. And I laughed when they called it unobtainium in the theater. It really doesn't get any more lame than that!
  19. I agree the CW sets aren't bad at all. The CW figures however... Anyway, thanks for the awesome review Brickster! This may be the best SW battle pack that has been produced to date. The snowtroopers are some of the best SW figs and it's nice to get the correct torso to put on my Veers in the AT-AT despite the fact the rank insignia is incorrect (however it's incorrect on the official Veers as well so nothing lost there). I've already purchased 2 and I plan on getting more once they start showing up again. I've only found these in one store so far and they flew off the shelves, I was lucky to get any. In the States these BP's cost $10.99, unless you go to TRU which undoubtedly has gouged their prices.
  20. My guess would be it's all about money. Bigger boxes means Lego can jack up prices because it appears that you are getting more. That's why the pieces of many boxes only fill up 25 percent at most. Of course getting a bigger picture helps show all the details of a set, but mostly the bigger boxes are so you don't feel like you're getting ripped off.
  21. When I was younger I was told that someone actually did file a lawsuit in the US against Lego after a kid got shot in the eye with one of those cannons. I have absolutely no idea if that is true or not though.
  22. This set actually can still be had for retail price on ebay. I purchased a sealed copy a couple months back for $80. Retail was $90 IIRC.
  23. For anyone interested, I stopped by Fred Meyer today and they had both Hoth battlepacks, the Freeco Speeder and the Tri-fighter. The battle packs were $10.99 each and the Freeco and Fighter were $24.99 apiece. They also had the new Space Police, Toy Story and Atlantis sets, but no Arc, Landspeeder or Tie Defender.
  24. I agree, you should be fine. Both Wal-Marts close to me still have them on the shelves. The Target close by is sold out at the moment though.
  25. I don't mind the re-releases themselves as no one is forcing anyone to buy them, but I do agree that it's kind of absurd that in the summer Lego will have released 4 versions of Slave 1 and the snowspeeder while other sets that could really use upgrades don't get re-released. A better cantina as mentioned earlier comes to mind and there are other ideas that have been suggested as well which are really good like an addition to the cloud city set released in 2003 or a more complete Jabba's palace.
