  1. T There isn't mate, its just slow lol. It moves as soon as I push a direction and press the button on the handle (requires both)
  2. I might open it up and take some pictures for you when I get a mo, them hailfire droid wheels are hard to mount
  3. So, at the moment I am quite lucky as I seem to have a lot of parts around. So the wheelchair is safe, so are the big robots, oh and the ride on LEGO Train I am working on also wont steal any parts. I have also already built prototype 2 MEGA segway but thats not safe yet (12 NXT's 24 motors)
  4. I am using the hailfire droid wheels mate Generally I use a lot of 5x7 frames and try and reinforce in every angle. This has 2 driving cogs (8 tooth) and 8 support axles per wheel.
  5. This is the first version of a Human LEGO Segway. Currently you have to balance it yourself and there are 2 safety rotacaster wheels to stop you falling off. It uses 4 NXT's and 8 motors and is controlled by 2 Hitechnic accelerometers. It uses 2 LEGO Hailfire wheels.
  6. You could buy a bricktronic shield to run them off the Ardunino
  7. Thanks mate, I been a bit slow lately in building, this will change!
  8. My first EV3 Model, built this in about a hour, not finished yet.
  9. It is pretty bullet proof, I am slightly worried about the sterring, I think it be fine for light adults and kids, but 80kg+ the back wheels start grinding on the housing as it turns. I will spend some more time improving this. I hope to build a full mindstorms version soon.
  10. I have uploaded some pictures of this to Flickr as requested :)
  11. The Ev3 set comes with 2 different motors, one with the same spec as the old NXT 2 motor (slightly different shape) and one like a medium motor with a rotation sensor in it.
  12. There are plans to build a bigger version of my car thats studdless and I am going to give it a proper frame and body shell. Dont think it will be full size though, maybe golf cart size
  13. Thanks mate, people like you are why I keep building big :)
  14. Hey people, so yes I can drive it, I will upload some close pictures of it very soon. I basically stresstest things on if it can hold me (85kg) then it can take a kid.
  15. OO do you think I should make it prettier? Give some suggest mate :)
  16. I built this over Xmas as a way to use up my yellow studded LEGO. Just forgot to release it! Powered by 16XL motors and an NXT
  17. Good question, I assume they will do a Android tablet app but that can be a pain due to the different screen resolutions and hardware spec
  18. Hey guys, I have just come back from LEGOWorld as I was part of the MINDSTORMS EV3 stand so if you have any questions, I will try to answer them. They had a lovely swarm WIFI demo! and some really cool remote control Android examples. The new Autodesk iPad app for building the models was very nice to.
  19. Thank you, it was great fun, even the kids liked it lol!
  20. Thanks for the bump mate :) it was such a honour for them both to try the chair!
