  1. When I bought my winter toy shop set, I saw a few possibilities of doing this sort of theme. I will most likely carry along the theme of the set and make some sort of city scene for the mantle of out house for Christmas with snowy roads, white ground instead of green and other "snow" effects.
  2. What's always funny is that I have 7 or 8 of the things in green and grey, but when I always need one to get a stuck brick up, I can never seem to find one. Its like they know that I'm in need and just hide!
  3. It could be a busy month for many with their non LEGO things, I know with me I have many term papers and tests in school this month and really don't have time for anything else. The forum will jump back soon when people get more time on their hand to build more MOCs.
  4. Interesting. Could it be some sort of quality control stamp? Smiley face for a good box and ready to pack? Maybe the reject boxes get a sad face? Or someone got bored at the factory and is playing around with stamps?
  5. I like the idea of getting points for every purchase, I've often left the store with only an Impulse set or a small set and not getting a stamp, this now allows me to get my small set, and get a few points out of it to the total. Sounds good to me!

Well, I just got back from the test... no smog Dyno necessary (testing shop didnt even have one). I had a APR reflash done on my car over the weekend which cleared the light, but there were still some hidden codes on the ECU I missed. All they did on the test was ask me to pull next to the computer, turn car off and they plugged the car in to the computer and checked the OBDII system, no dyno, no sniffer, no visual inspection. They didnt even notice my car had no cat even though my car was loud with the Diverter valve opening and everything. VROOOOOM...PPppsssshhhhhhh! hehe. I guess now I just need to find a buddy with VAG-Com (Volkswagen-Audi Groupe-Computer System) and just hack the ECU.

All the test is that they scan the ECU for fault codes. I would put the stock parts back in, but the reason I removed them in the first place is that the Secondary Air Pump burned out and is no longer functioning... plus its a 700$ part from Audi and I do not want to buy one.

No, no ricerocket... Das mein Deutsche Auto: I have a bunch of Mods done, APR stage 1+ chip tune, Neuspeed turboback exhaust, custom intake, larger fuel injectors, and a whole bunch of other little things I do not feel like listing. ...And the reason all the emissions junk is removed is that the SAIP burned out and I did not want to pay 700$ for a new one because it is a redundant pump anyways. I think I might borrow an ECU and do a piggyback and run it into the harness with the stock one. ... And No, I am not some punk kid streetracer either, I AutoX my car on closed circuits only.

AHHHHHHH!!!!! I got the yellow slip of doom in the mail! EMISSIONS TEST!!! Why am I yelling because of an emissions test you ask? Well, My car in its current state WILL NOT PASS!! Doh! I have a pile of parts in my garage that used to be the emissions control system in my car (IMO, it was just dead weight), Catalytic converter, Secondary air pump, vacuum hoses, bunch of air valves, EVAP system, and EVAP control module. I gotta think of something fast!
  13. CUTE!!!!!! I must must buy this set! From what I see with the interior shots, It has some cool little accessories, like the little toy train and toy robot. Must have set!
  14. Most likely the rotating arm is a rechargeable battery function, crank the arm a few revolutions, you get light.
  15. We Want Pirate Calenders!!!! We Want Pirate Calenders!!!! We Want Pirate Calenders!!!! Sign me up!! I'd love to get two or three of these!
  16. I think that LEGO makes logos with design cues from real logos. they are not direct copies, but can give you a sense of realism with building. take the post symbol, the horn on the real one is almost the same as the LEGO logo, with the little horn on the letter, it gives you a bit more of a real feel and people can relate to the similarities they see around town and can build from LEGO. Just my thoughts.
  17. I'll be volunteering Sat. and Sun. I hope to see some of you there!
  18. I'd just use some plastic wrap that you use to cover food with, you can stretch it out and pin it to the edges.
  19. LEGO Education has been around for quite a while now. I've bought quite a few things from LEGO Education, its a good source to find some rare and hard to find Technic pieces and other things too.
  20. 14 high to the very tip of the roof on the car on top, the actual train car is lower. for the SNOTing, i used loads of these: as for red, i based it off of most real autoracks, they were either painted red or yellow.
  21. ENTERED Here is my entry for category 2 It is an Autorack that is built in 7 wide and can hold up to 8 cars. Its a tad long, but I ran it around a loop of track and it runs flawlessly! Fully loaded it sits just under 14 bricks high, good enough to clear tunnels. Its holding 5 Fiat 126P and two big sedans:
  22. I like green. dont really know why, but i like to make landscapes with green and hills for my layout and it looks good.
