  1. Since the normal forest men use a large living tree as a base, the dark forest men should be in a dead tree or cave. (future MOC maybe?)
  2. Really the main issue you would run into would be traction. It could be possible to do, you can have a person sit on a dolly, and build one of those house moving systems. a large vehicle with 40, 50 wheels each driven by a geared down motor for max torque.
  3. Its not necessarily that expensive, if looking at other magazines the same quality as BrickJournal, you can pay 10-12 bucks each. Performance VW magazine is 11$ an issue for me, so 9$ for BrickJournal is priced right.
  4. *Drool* A very nice truck! It looks very European and scaled well to your buildings and minifig. Great work.
  5. I'm a huge F1 fan! I'm a big fan of my fellow Polish driver, Robert Kubica! Too bad though BMW is struggling this year for both drivers, last year they were both so well and this year they just fell off the deep end. ...Oh well, everyone has their off years, just like Mercedes Mclaren and Ferrari this year too.
  6. Easy... I don't. Only time that I try not to buy LEGO is when my wallet is crying for mercy.
  7. Old thread or not, I would love to have a 8 foot "mini"fig at my house.
  8. I think there will be, I will be bringing the stadium again... although it should be 100% different next year, plus more!
  9. I cant wait to get this set, not just for Admiral Ackbar (well, thats really about it), but its a cool set! Oh...ITS A TRAP!!!?!11!1!!one!!!!
  10. Life size house? sounds like a waste of brick. But anyways, I'd love to see the show(s) I've seen Top toys and a few other shows James did.
  11. Well, the best way to probably start is to do a mini section of what you want to build, kind of like a sample section, and multiply from there. When I was building my stadium, I built a mini section of stands and duplicated it on a large scale. As for ordering from Bricklink, do you have an account? You need an account to buy from bricklink and a way to pay for orders such as PayPal. Also, as for how many pars you need, make a rough guess and order more than you think you would need. For example: I need 50 1x2 brown plate, I would order 200, just to get extras.
  12. Any news on when Orland Park Ill. Store is opening?
  13. Happy Birthday!
  14. In my Stadium MOC I'm actually using the original Islander heads as football hooligans, haha. I have them it the teams colors waving flags and banners.
  15. Sounds interesting, a maybe for me. It would be fun for me to try new themes.
  16. Aww... He burnt the muffins. But anyways, Great MOC! I love the water in the pot boiling over, spilled coffee, cheese grater, and all the other little details!
  17. The only dirt that shows up on the metal rails, is a light coating of dirt, and just a grime that just happens due to usage and age. The best way that I found to clean the metal rails is a common household eraser. It literally does erase the grime!!! The eraser also leave a light shine on the rails too!
  18. On the highway, my car does get a bit better mileage due to the higher air to fuel ratio, and the turbo spools up better with the catalytic converter removed, but under city driving or track my mileage is awful, mostly due to wide open throttle most of the time. now, with OP's tercel, its a 1.5L I4 right? you should probably put the exhaust back on, put the cat back in, and just do a tune up fresh fluids and a clean filter, you will then probably see a good gain in fuel economy. You can easily get the Tercel with that small of a motor up o 35-37 mpg. just give it a good tune up.
  19. one thing I know, I will double the size of my display, maybe triple.
  20. I talked to you at Brickworld about these, I loved em'! You got the scale done on the Emerald Night so well, from the main engine to the passenger car, it all looked as if it was a set.
  21. Exactly! Removing the Cat is possibly the worst thing you can do for a car, not only does it emitt CO, and NO2, it also uses more fuel, it causes the engine to run lean as the O2 sensor will notice an increase in un-burnt fuel. Unless you are running an O2 sensor fouler, or have engine management, you are doing more damage to the engine than benefit, as well as the environment. But I have to admit, on my car, I run straight pipe from the Turbo back, no resonator, no Catalytic Converter, but I compensated for that by running an aggressive tune on the ECU, all my Fuel ratios are changed and amount of boost the turbo makes. If I'm doing an AutoX event or road course, I unbolt the entire exhaust all together, and just run open downpipe.
  22. More like, every panel in my car rattles, already shreded a turbo, blew the exhaust, suspension creaks (have to replace it soon), radio is going out, electrical nightmare ( almost all warning lights on my dash, but there is no problem), second turbo starting to go, a complete pain in the butt to work on, parts cost a fortune, only runs on 93+ octane, or 102 octane (my car loves race gas!). Yup, fine quality... but that is why I love this car, It always surprises me!
  23. Its called "Cash for Clunkers" its a recent bill that was passed here in the United States to boost new car sales while trading in your gas guzzling car or truck. To sum up the basics of the deal is that you would go to the dealer to buy a brand new car, you can trade in a gas guzzler with poor gas milage and get a 4300$ voucher towards a new car with more than 30 mpg. So... If I would trade in a 82' Chevy Pickup with 15 mpg, to get a Honda Civic Hybrid, I would get 4300$ towards the Civic. Or a lesser amount may be given if the gap between old and new milage is less than 6 mpg. Old car: 26 mpg New car: 30 mpg = 2300$ http://www.cashforclunkersfacts.com/ Hope that answers it for all of you. And to answer OP: This is my car: 2002 Volkswagen Passat 1.8T Unitronics Stage two Chip NeuSpeed full Stainless exhaust Evolution Racewerks Test pipe Custom built Intake Audi S4 OEM Intercooler Samco Turbo inlet hose Forge 007 Diverter Valve. Bridgestone Potenza RE01-R race compound summer tires 17 inch Enkei lightweight rims
  24. Ralph, I've seen most of your models on Flickr. Your cars were a bit of inspiration for some of the cars I built for my layout! I especially like your cars in 5 wide! like the Renault you have on Flickr. Great work!
  25. That looks fantastic!!! I love all the detail done on the interior and the legs, the round gun turrets look very cool to! Nice job!
