  1. Simple, MORE TORQUE!!! You get the benefit of getting more low end grunt with two motors than with one. Two motors are not necessary for a train that is short and light, like a passenger train, but for long freight trains, you get the power to get the train moving. the motors do not get worn faster if two are used, because the voltage is just cut in half between the two motors rather than full power to both.
  2. I do pretty much the same thing, when I buy used lots, the off brands and damaged/ cracked/broken/drawn on bricks get put in a "junk bin" I cant see myself throwing them away.

Well, for your first issue, it might be the battery, they last about 4 to 6 years for a good battery. A good way to tell if your battery is going is to go to your car when it gets dark, before turning the car on turn on your headlights. After that, turn the car on and see if they dim at all when the car is cranking, if they do, its the battery. Your second issue sounds like the belt might be a bit old and the rubber dried out a bit and humidity makes it squeak. I recommend going to AutoZone or any auto parts store and buy STP Engine belt dressing. It comes in a spray can and gives the belt a coating of light lubricant and stop the squeak, put a it on the pulleys as well to get the underside of the belt too. I hope it works out for you.

Quite right! since I'm only 19, with college expenditures I would have no easy way to pay for repairs if something went wrong on the car, if you can afford it go for it!

Not a wreak at all, it only had just a bit over 60K on the odo, clean carfax other than a few minor repairs under warranty of previous owner shiny black paint with almost new tan interior. It was a beautiful car, its just that there was no warranty is why I did not get it, if one thing would go wrong, then it would be a nightmare to repair and would probably destroy my wallet. Its almost like any large, expensive European car, very costly to repair. A buddy of mine has an Audi RS6 and its been in the dealer for 3 months now in service, the electronic adjustable suspension was blown and had to be rebuilt twice, the dealer also flew in a tech from Germany to rebuild the car, luckily everything is covered under warranty.

Very nice! I almost traded my car in for a W12 Phaeton, the price was right at 17,000$ but it was out of warranty and the Phaeton is a very very very expensive car to maintain.
  7. "It's got a cop motor 440 cubic in plant, cop tires, cop suspension, cop shocks, its a model built before catalytic converters so it will run good on regular gas." The Blues Brothers!!! Joliet Jake and Elwood Blues The car: 74' Dodge Monaco Police car Took about three days to build, features tons of jumper plates, headlight bricks, and cheese slopes, and built to miniland scale. I hope you like it, comments welcome!
  8. I NEED 9V TRACK!!!!1!!11!!! Yes, It would be nice if LEGO would bring back 9v. They could do it as a built to order special run type deal, or just have it as a "hobby" section for just parts like track and motors, etc.
  9. M*** B***** I am always terrified of M*** B***** when I buy mixed LEGO at garage sales and find a MB in them I am always paranoid that I will find more MB in there.
  10. I cant seem to get this program to work on a MAC. Anyone have a better idea on how to run it other than what BlueBrick's site says, the program on there does not work.
  11. Sorry for the lack of progress info. I've been busy with school, but I managed to build a bit more. I finished the rough outer walls and one tower. ...and now, Time for lunch!
  12. Etzel, I sent you a PM.
  13. Sure, thats fine, you can have #23, I really don't care where I am, I just picked that spot at random. Skinny Boy, you can switch my number to 24.
  14. I'll take #23 please! I'll build a small repair garage for the few running cars left in the apoc world.
  15. Is there any guideline for a connecting wall?? Or can we just build what we want?
  16. I have tons of those also, ones that are on so tight, I need pliers to get them off.

Doesn't matter if one company copied off of another or not or didn't copy, those two are both dead sexy cars! If I were to choose one, Reventon all the way!
  18. Due to them being from the 60's they are quite old and dont have the tight hold on each other, some bricks just fit a bit loose compared to the others. Sure is! the "sand red" is actually Modulex's version of Brown, black base, orange entry, and it will have a light blue moat.
  19. I put my MOC of my modulex castle here instead the castle section because its more "other theme" with Modulex than "castle". Well... here is my Work in Progress of my Modulex castle: Its taking me a long time to get this done since Modulex are tiny, hard to use with my big hands, dont really stay together well, and am very limited on the pieces I have. The first finished tower: Some minifigs helping build the castle: I will post more pics as I build more.
  20. Here ya go: Its two headlight bricks attached together on a 1x1 plate on the floor (1x2 plate in pic to stand it up) and then has a white edge to cover it in the building, the sides fit into a slot in the wall.
  21. Hey ImperialShadows, do you know of the Mars Mission LEGO Universe promo pieces, they are just like the dragon ones but with a Mars Mission fig on it in black and white, I can give you a pic of it since I have it.
  22. Thanks for the heads up, I'll check my local Big Lots.

the new Mustang and Camaro are decent cars, the Challenger is a "show, no go" kinda car, its big, ridiculously heavy, and a cheap plastic interior.

Snow?... We get enough of it in Chicago. It stays on the ground for months, salt all over the roads, ice, and ridiculous cold. Here is my Car after last winter and doing donuts in my cul-de-sac Plus we get the -30 degree days without windchill.
