sounds like the next contest is going to very interesting -
I'm just saying that from my experience building a similar low boy trailer to 2legoornot2lego. The bed of that trailer is a bunch of thin plates stacked to give it a lot of strength. I believe you that you made it nice and strong, tho And the brick shelf file isn't public yet

Their are so many parts of this I just love, NICE JOB!! For truck, I love the gear box idea, moving the whole motor assembly is a pretty clever idea. Not just the functionality of the truck, but it also looks clean and nothing is missing. For trailer, I wasn't expecting that at all! Genius idea. I'm guessing you used gear racks to move the rear wheels front?? My only concern is that the thickness of the trailer bed isn't enough for the heavier load. If that was thicker, you make it much stronger. All in all nice moc!!

Everyone is looking at this idea from a pneumatic stand point. I'm not, personally I dont use them so I'm looking at from a LA perspective. I'm thinking a screw inside a screw inside a screw, that way they all twist out at the same time and would be able to hold the position because of the screw mechanism. I think I'm going to have to reinstall auto desk inventor and make a moc up of my idea. I was hoping efferman would have found his way here by now :) Most of the ones in life are hydraulically driven, but for our sake the pneumatics would never hold up to the lift force, but the LAs could -

The longer actuator is fine, but I'm not looking for one that doubles its length, I looking for a triple or quadruple its initial length -

Think about all the different vehicles a telescopic sight actuator could be used for. And start off long one for cranes, a medium sized for dump trucks, and small ones for multi staged outriggers -

Thanks guys!! The Small LA was the best solution -
Hey guys!! So I have been watching the never seen in LEGO topic for the past couple days, http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=116690, and thought I would try building one of them. I needed a small break from cranes. So I decided on a compactor because it is generally easy and did not have to be huge to include all the of the functions. I decided on the CB64B Cat compactor as a guide. Here are some facts about my MOC; Functions: drive- m motor steering- m motor Both compactor drums are driven... can you figure out how ;) You might be able to seen how through the WIP pictures... Hope you enjoy :) Battery box is the water tank for the sprayers :) Final: As always comments are welcomed and encouraged
