  1. I guess you can call that a clam shell bucket design on the actual machine
  2. Whats up with LEGO doing a lot of the grapple and clam shell buckets?? 42042 crawler crane could have had a hook 42006 excavator could have had a bucket 42043 Arcos could have had a hook or bucket (although i think that clam shell is good for this one) but for the new Volvo, I havent seen any pictures or videos of the real machine with a clam shell bucket design.... hmm
  3. Seeing the location of the battery box means it serves as a counter weight
  4. These models have their good and bad. The BWE definetely looks unfinished, the Claas looks great, I'm not a fan of the ip car and no opinion on Volvo yet I have a feeling this will b the biggest mod for this model. After I convert it to LAs ;)
  5. Look in the background, I see pneumatic hoses in the VOLVO box
  6. I thinking about what people are saying about the number of tread pieces... A-model- a least 2 set of tracks for movement plus 1 to 3 conveyors B-model (if trencher)- 2 sets of tracks, one small conveyor If this is the case, we are going to either have a huge trencher, or a lot of tread left over when the b-model is built
  7. Ya, I was the original one who posted the idea
  8. WOW, that set is going to be huge! I wonder what the B model will be for such a big model
  9. What is this truck everyone is talking about?? The excavator or am I missing something?
  10. Too much speculation, I'm still just waiting for pictures, don't wanna get my hopes up
  11. Thanks for your comment Kiwi Builder I was originally going for the extended chassis look. something like this... now of course, this truck only has a steerable axle, but I added a second. I will probably make the chassis a little shorter
  12. Hey guys, it has been awhile since I have had the time to build anything, but I finally had some time I made a transport truck for the 2H sets I plan on getting come August. It is a 8 X 4 cabover style truck. It is a basic truck, nothing really fancy, no suspension and no fancy 5th wheel hitch. I have to make a lowboy trailer for it, but that will come later. Functions of the truck; drive - 2 XL motors steering- servo motor LED openable doors Here are some pictures, i hope you like it. If you have any comments or questions, feel free to ask. :D
  13. I number of pneumatics would depend on the style arm LEGO chooses
  14. I'm just waiting patiently for the Volvo and possibly the Xerion
  15. Heys guys, I slowly looking into modding this set. My first objective would be to make it RC, and then make a longer boom. Im wondering if the boom that is on the original model would hold up past maybe 5 sections? And if not, has anymore made a super strong sectional boom for this model??
  16. Really nice model, for how small it is and you got all the right functions built into it, is quite impressive. That buckets can not really be used for anything other than a loader, so nice use of it!
  17. Ok, because I'd rather pay a little more a get a good set. I for one don't get the smaller sets. So this means that the excavator might be The same scale as 42030
  18. :D I like pie But I'd definetely agree that technic gives LEGO the most income
  19. I under stand why you can't do this at the scale you build, but it would be a nice addition
  20. Here ya go, The combines are being transported on a train in this picture, but the same thing happens when the combine is being transported by anything else or is just driving on the road.
  21. Ok thanks for your help! and the great parts!
