  1. Im thinking to add it to the 42042 crawler crane, once I mod it. So will the 13m be a good size??
  2. Yes, I love this 3D part. But just to clarify, I need the "wheelholder for Turntable Support" and "Turntable Support 13 studs diameter", right?
  3. Is their a video of how your turntable works? I kind of get it, but I just wanna make sure. Definitely something I wanna get
  4. Im just curious, but what is the advantage of having the sprocket 1L thick?
  5. they save the most important for last, TECHNIC
  6. I could not find a good picture to show you, but I have a solution to make it more realistic. When the combines header gets really long, the out pipe gets longer too. When the combine is in transport with the header on the trailer. The pipe actually folds. Basically once the pipe gets to the end of the combine, the rest of the pipe folds to be against the back of the combine.
  7. Very nice. Only concern is if the auger pipe for the harvest is longer than the harvester head. basically does the pipe extend farther than the header. Being from a farming community is is true of 99% of combines. This is so the truck that is receiving the grain can just pull up next the the combine.
  8. Maybe Sariel has some inside info about the IP car...
  9. This is what I was thinking you could do. except, this builder has the output drive shaft down gearing for more torque, you could gear up and speed up depending on what kind of weight you have on your model.
  10. If this is true, and I know it is rumor, but if it is true I would get a $300 set. I love the GT!! They gotta put a sound kit it there though, I need that vroom ;)
  11. I think JJ2 hit the nail right on the head. Unless your doing a speed gear box then you might want an XL and L motor, but it doesn't sound like that's what you want
  12. Just wow, not only is the unimog itself awesome, but a very good description!! But I didn't see any bells or whistles :D
  13. Sorry if this post gets long, but I wanted to share some examples of what im thinking. For the Xerion, A PTO attachment would be best because the attachment could have a function of some kind. An example could be a mower If LEGO does this model correct, the three point hitch should be pneumatic, since the actual tractor is hydraulic. The three point hitch would be on the front and back of the tractor. The PTO attachments would use the rear three point hitch, but the front one does not usually have a PTO mount. A good example of a front attachment would be a plow. For the excavator, it is very similar. The actual machine has different styles of arms. It has a one piece boom, your traditional style boom.. ...an offset boom ... A two piece boom and a grapple arm (sorry cant find picture) Not only does it has all those different arms, it also had different attachments, rotating bucket, and different types of undercarriages.
  14. Im not 100% sure I didnt get that set. But by the pictures, yes that is exactly what im thinking!
  15. For example, the Xerion tractor would b the base model. But the set would have extra parts for you to be able to make some attachments, let's say a mower deck or plow. For the Volvo. The excavator superstructure and wheel base would be the base model. But the arm would be interchangeable with different style arms and attachments. Again you wouldn't take apart the base model, you would have extra parts to make the excavator arms and attachments.
  16. Ok, but what attachments would you like to see for the Xerion. Im thinking plow and mower deck is what they would do. But the plow would not use a PTO unless it moved side to side. The excavator is easy because from the promotional video of the actual machine, it shows possible attachments. So lets just hear what attachments you would want to see for the Xerion, either directly from LEGO. Or once the Modification topic is started
  17. For both the Xerion and Volvo, LEGO should not make a B-model, they should just have additional attachments. Maybe a plow and mower deck for tractor and a different arm with grapple.
  18. Are you talking about Andythenorth's pictures or mine?
  19. Id say the second one is the best case senario And id also say the clam shell buckets
  20. I definetely think LEGO would rather do something like this. Not because it is smaller and less complicated, but because it will be cheaper to manufacture. I count 5 function on the trencher, which would not be too difficult to make RC as a modification. I think your right about it now being known well enough for it to go a LEGO TECHNIC model, but i cant see how going from a full BWE to this as a B model would work. You would have 1000s of parts left over. EDIT: It would also be an upgrade from the last trencher...
  21. Ok, Im not trying to start an argument here, but what if LEGO is calling this trencher a Bucket Wheel Excavator? I mean technically it is, it has the same idea to it, but it wouldnt be the BWE we are expecting
  22. Their is no reason to be rude, it is a DISCUSSION and speculation forum. That means people can say what they would like to see in the upcoming future sets as well as speculation coming from insiders that know about the actual set. Sure the topic is 93 pages, but how many times have I seen contribution from yourself? You can't come on here calling people idiots (btw Jim is no idiot, in fact a very intelligent man) and Waler also provides very interesting and helpful information. So to get off my little rant. I'm looking forward to 42030 having a twin size brother and maybe the dump truck with trailer sometime in the future :)
  23. I'm really hoping it isn't pneumatic, you guys got the Arocs last year with new pneumatics.
  24. Is this speculation or are you just trying to start something here?? Shouldn't we try to stay on topic? These topics tend to get off topic very easily and speculation tends to get interesting as well.
  25. I was the one to post the video of the Volvo EW160 promotional video. It shows all of the bucket and arm options, let alone the wheel options. LEGO can either make this modelto its full potential or they could screw it up. Here is the video, enjoy;
