  1. Look, any further discussion is moot until we have photos.
  2. Looks great! And yes, I'm making this suggestion yet again - why not try the Jeep tyres?
  3. Very cool! It'd look great with the tyres from 42122 as well.
  4. You can still link images if you use Flickr. Simply view the image, copy the web address and paste it into your post.
  5. Think that's gonna be our JCB. (No, seriously, I'd want 42130 to be our JCB)
  6. Quite the memorable article, if only for the fact that it featured the phrase "WORM SCREW" in all caps. I still have my 3L worm bush thingy; it's loose as I converted my 42023 loader to the 2L worm setup a while back. TLG's reasoning on that part was correct - the ends on mine are stressed.
  7. Maybe. We haven't had one of those in a long, looong time!
  8. Will ship to you in 5 months! Possibly less!
  9. Hard to say given that he rarely, if ever, uses that size of hub.
  10. Very cool! I think the jerry cans are my favourite part.
  11. Dunno if anyone's posted a picture of the real thing, so I'll just dump one here and give everyone an idea of what the D11T looks like...
  12. When I was building the PuppyTrack compact dumper, there wasn't much planning or theoretical structure - I pretty much designed the mechanism, made sure it worked, and then delved into my bucket of spares to build the model around it. While I didn't base it on a specific real-world example, there was still the matter of making it resemble the real thing and it does take cues from actual machines - the lime colour scheme, for example, was inspired by the Hooka mobile lift platform, and the main inspiration came from a photo of a Canycom gas barrow in Earthmovers magazine. The crux of MOCing is, in my experience, deciding what to build, and whether or not I can build it with what I have lying around.
  13. Then that defeats the purpose of Technic. Hopefully they've put some effort in. We'll see them when we see them. Asking will get you nowhere.
  14. Given the monumental blade on the real thing, I'm guessing much of the part count has gone into that. Plus there's gonna be a lot of track links.
  15. Oh-ho! You mess with the bull, you get the horns!
  16. It's "Build For Real", TLG. Not "Build For Ever"!
  17. It's because the model is in focus, while the grass in the background is not, so the grass seen through the railing gaps shows up more.
