Well i'm sure that all of us would love to have a movie of nothing but robots with a couple of human shots (including myself) hear and there. BUt the reality of it is that probbly wouldn't have worked either. At least not to apeal to a broader audience. Could it also have been to reduce the cost of CGI? Thats a good point. And its a good posibitly. Maybe they had a budget, maybe they didn't. To be honest, its probbly a combo of both. Remember, no matter what, your just not going to please everyone. Hopfully they found a happy medium. Not sure what you mean by cross marketing, but i've been seeing new 20sec trailer every day now. Eachone gets me more and more pumped to see this! They showed one were megan, and sam were in bumble bee running from bone crusher. They strated to laugh cause they were out running him. Theythen showed bonecrusher transform from vehicle mode, to robot mode. The camera panned underneath while he was transforming from back to front till they revieled his head were he let out a monsterous roar! I was incredible to see the detail in the transformation! X-O I'm really trying not toget my hopes up like the first 2 Fast and Furious movies (the 3rd was the only good one) and Doom (absolutly horrible >:-( ) but it looks preety promising, and with ultaprimes review it also helps. Me personally, have read scripts for movies before on line, thought they were horrible, went to see the movie,and thought it waspreety good. I vowed never to read another script before seeing the movie first. Also, i don't see how anyone can enjoy a downloaded movie. The quality(picture/sound) is horrible. A movie like this is best enjoyed at the theater.(or at least with some good souround sound! X-D )

I really enjoyed your review dunamis. I think the tow truck was a great set, but like you said, needed more. First, it should have used pneumatics to lift the arm. As well as the rear lift mechanisim. I modded mine to do just so. It really adds to the set. Also the rear lift should have pivited. Still working on that one. All this talk about the airtech rig makes me want to rebuild mine! You should take the time and build all your boxed techinc sets! If there are any legos that should be built its techinc. With all the functions they offer, it would be a crime to keep them boxed up any longer! :-P Trust me, both are awsome sets! You won't be disapointed! I'm attually really looking forward to the new bulldozer. This one could quite possibly beat out the airclaw rig as the best techinc set ever! X-D But i agree with about the rest of the techinc sets this year. It seems every few years we get a new crane, or forklift, or some kind of truck. But if you think about it, what are the most popular techinc mocs on brickshelf? The crane has to be the top. So i can see why lego keep them coming every couple of years. I remeber gylman starting a topic about technic ideas other than the tipical tractors, cranes and such. Once you start to think about it, its kinda hard to think up of somthing other than the tipical tractors and such. Espeacailly since it would need to have some kind of function. But if you have any ideas, we'd love to hear them!

Well if a huge fan like Ultra Prime enjoyed it, then i'm sure most fans will as well. WHats funny is these guys will most likely be some of the first in line to see it weather they want to admit it or not. Whats even sadder is that even if they like it, there to closed minded to admit it. |-/ As will be all the other "fans" that wined too.

Couple reasons attualy. One, it gave prime defenition on certain parts (or somthing to that effect) , and second he just plain wanted them. Being a director, as long as it doesn't take away from the character (whitch it didn't) then it his right to do so.

Personally, i just can't see keeping a set in the box and not builing it. Wow! You get to say "Hey, check out this really cool box i have! It was a steal at $1,400!!! :-| " Lego's were meant to be built. Not boxed.

LOL. Ya, i laughed a bit as well. But its funny. These are probbly the people that said Michael Bay "ruined there child hood by putting flames on Optimus Prime" :-| Still think its stupid to pass full judjment on somthing they haven't even seen. Kinda sad really. :-/

Then like some have said, what you consider a swear, and what other do is different. Like i said, i'm a christian myself, and have never been offended by anything people have said here. There have might have been things that have made me upset, but thats differnt than being offened. No its not, but i still feel you didn't have any reason to bring it up in the first place concidering what you were being "offened" about. You don't like somthing then fine, just leave. BUt to say "i'm christian, and because i'm christain i'm going to get flamed for it" is more inapropriate than the soposed "swear" word you say you constantly see. Then i miss read you. For that i opoligize. :-)

What swearing? You acttaully think that BZP is a more "apropriate" forum than eurobricks? I won't go and trash another forum, but that is the worst possible comparision you could have done. I know many people hear know what i'm talking about. I have never seen swear words uncensored before. Nor have i ever seen grafic sexual discusion ever discused on these forums. Have inapropriate discussions started before? Yes, but you can't prevent everyone from starting topics. If there is one, then it s closed (at least from what i've seen) closed within the first post or two. Either way, it was completely inapropriate to bring religion into this. Sorry to carry this on, but i take stong offense to people that use religion as excuses when it is completely inapropriate. ......But again, i think every bionicle name is wierd. :-P

Awsome. Iwas hoping for that. That means they fit there robot designs perfect then. Agreed. There are a number differnt catagories of movie goers to apeal too. Nice to hear that they didin't over power the presence of the bots. I hope so as well. But even if it wasn't, if the stero made up for it, then thats still ok.

Excuse me? Sorry, but this is just don't get this coment. As a christian myself, i've never been offened by anything anyone has said here on eurobricks. At least not the need to bring religion in. Yes, some people have had problems, but seriously don't believe your going to get flamed because your christian. And to be honest, i don't see anything that is allowed on eurobricks that would go against the christain belief. And if a couple things here and there really bother you that much, then it probbly be best you stay off the interenet all toether. Sorry if that seems harsh, but this is a forum about legos, and the people that enjoy them.

Awsome! The fact that your a huge transformers fan and were impressed really makesme anxious to see this movie! Didn't expect it to be perfect, but lets be honest, what movie is? Anyways, it sounds like the good out wayed the bad. So how were the voices compared to the originals? You obviously liked prime, but how were the rest? Did the Decepticons as intimadating as they looked?

I have to disagree. While i agree that its not the best techinc set that has been out, i have to say that it does have some very nice features. A V6 engine, tilting cab, steering, and 3 options for a rear lift mechanisim. Its obvious that this is the focal point of this set. I believe it gives it alot of flexability that other sets don't have. I built the folding crane on mine. While i admit that the pnuematics aten't very strong due to the placment, it does have some capability. But to be honest, i mainly choose this attachment because i wanted to build a trailer for it. Another high point of this set. 8438 i beilve is the best (stock) crane lego has come out with to date. Its the only set that i have from my childhood that is still toeghter. But more on that in a bit... :) These are all great examples. All have there high points,as well as there lows Just like 8436. BUt to be honest, if your going to crown a king of pnuematic sets, it has to be 8455 back hoe. With 10 cylinders, 7 switches, and two pumps, how can it not be? The tractor8459/8464 was a great set. Though it had little function, it did what it was supposed to probbly the best out of any techinc set ever made. Period. With an air tank, i beilve 8455 rivals even the mighty air claw rig! :-P BUt in all honesty, the air claw rig is a fantacic set. It preety much everything but a suspention. The turning radius could be a bit better though. As for 8421, i have to agree that lego dropped (litteraly) the boom on this one. 2 cylinders were obviously not enough, but what really gets me is that if they just completed the hose to the switch, that woulds have heled alot with the crashing of the boom when letting it down. But when an extra 2 cylinders are used, you can attually lift somthing other than just the boom itself. Making the it a very capable crane. BUt in stock form, it does need a alot of work. More than any other techinc set i can think of. Thats why 8438 is lego's best crane to date.

Um, i know i'm not the first to say this, but i don't see how you could distingwish a "normal" bionicle anme from a "wierd" one. There all relativly sound the same. NO offesnse to the bionicle fans, but this just doesn't make sense to me.
