Thanks guys! The truck is actually 4404 land busters. I modded it with steering, mirrors, extended cab and a bunchof other little things. I should of posted up apic i have of it pulling the trailer off road. You can really seee the suspention on both the truck and trailer working preety good. -
If thats the case, then i think it was a very smart move NOT to include the old color scheme for those paticular bots. Sorry, but that would have looked to funny. Espeacailly for thoses not familar with TF. It may have worked for the cartoon 25 years ago, buti really don't see that fitting in on the big screen. Very good point. Never thought of it that way.

Edit : OK, its finally up! This is just one trailer for now. I'll modifey my first post. -
Its not about complete alienation, its about trying to apeal to all those parties. I'm sure it wasn't the movie makers goal to piss off the fans. But i think it comes down to animation. As for using the same colors as the orginals, sorry, but that just wouldn't have worked with all the characters. Worked very well for Optimus Prime and Bumble Bee since there colors work very nice in vechile mode, but for some like star scream fdor example, that just wouldn't have worked. A blue/red/silver F-22? Don't think so. I agree that Godzilla could have been alot better. But to be honest, i never saw that being a good idea anyways. Personally, i wheni think of godzilla ithink of a big rubbery lizard fighting other creatures. I think thats were they screwed up. Not cliche's and catchphrases. Nearly everymovie has that at somepoint. And i don't think its fair to rule out horrible acting when all youv'e seen is the preview. Give it a chance. I'm not saying that it would have messed up the movie. Again, its all about eveolution. I don't think that an of it is bastardization. Nowi'm not saying everyting about this movie is perect. I do agree that some of the Tf designs could have been better. I agree with vader that the Autobots do look better than the Deceptacons. They seem to be closer to the "classic" designs than the rest. I agree that "frenzy" could have been alot better, and i have to say i was disapointed that Megatron wasn't going to have his trademark "big gun". I do feel they messed up on that one. But for the most part i like the new designs. I'm not going to let a few mistakes ruin the movie for me. I do understand your fustration, and where your coming from. I remember when the movie"DOOM" came out i was really excited. I'm a huge fan of the game, so i had high expedtaitons for the movie. Only to be commpletely let down. I almost walked out of the theater. Other than it taking place on mars and a few referances to some of the demons, it had nothing to do with "DOOM". This movie may not be what fans were expecting, but i say again. Give it a chance before you pass full judgment. Maybe, but for now its top notch. And when making a movie with CGI animation you need to be the top dog, whitch i think they've done a good job. As far as realistic,i think people are mainly refering to the movment of the robots. [

Not bad, but not great either. I was hoping for somthing alittle less blocky. At least at the base feet. Oh well. Can't have everything i guess.

Have not tried to post pics on this forum before. Never had this problem in other forums. Is 480x600 to big?

Sorry. But the behavior inthose forums were childish. have a fit because Optimus Prime has flames on him is just stupid. Iunderstand ther are still toys being made to this transformers, but like life. Things need to evolve, and they took the movie opertunity to do so. See, here's the problem that i think alot of "fans" fail to realize. Yes, the makers of this movie could have done what you have suggjested. Take the original story. Tweek it a bit and make them look like they did 25 years ago. But whenyou make a movie of this magnatude, you have more people to apeal to than just the hardcore TF Fans. You have quite a few catagories of people to apeal too. -You have the hardcore TF fan base that have followed the series in its entirity since its start 25 years ago -people that remember the series and watched it as kids, and are being reintroduced to TF with this movie. -people that have heard of TF and caught a glimse of the toys in the stores, but never really knew of the storyline. -the new generation of kids that might have the toys, but know nothing of the story line. -people that have never heard of TF (young and old alike) See, you can't just apeal to one catagory. You need to apeal to the general public, and what the general public wants to see and i'm sorry to say, the hard core fan base just doesn't make up enough to apeal to jujst them. There needs to be a happy medium, whitch i think (at least from what ive seen) they've done a good job of that. In all honesty, i can't remember the original story line. Maybe thats a good thing. I won't know till i see the movie. This is a perfect example of what i was just talking about. Fans would have loved to see stightly less blocky versions of the original characters. Problem is, you then have lost the other catagory of people that is needed to make this movie even remotely sucsessfull. With the CGI technology thats avaible, people expect the best. The makers of this movie know this, so slightly less blocky versions would not have cut it with people today. Espeacaly the younger generation that have pracically grew up with computer animation cartoons. From what ive seen, the characters visually looked good. Maybe there voices will ruin them. Maybe they won't. Gues we'll have to watch the movie and see! I never read the stript before the movie? Whats the point? You have ruined the movie for yourself. Sorry, but it sounds like you need to be a little bit more opened minded. Sorry to say, but cliche's and catch phases help make movies more enjoyable. You have to remember, this is a movie based on a childs cartoon. I hope they do have some fun with it and not take it so seriously. Another great point! Like them or not, they defenatly look real!

Iagre to a point. While i think there nothing wrong with pointing somone to the thread if itsbeen discussed in detail (like a 7 page long thread about a new set or a season of sets), but to chew someone out, for posting up a topic that has 2 respones or so about a topic posted in the past 10 minutes is just wrong. Also, i think refering somone to using the search funtion when they start a threadabout new sets they found is just plain rude . Sorry. All there trying to do is share some info they come across, and to be told "we already know about this. Try using the search button next time before you post". Responses like this make people not want to post period. I understand that it takes up bandwith with topics of the same content, but there's nothing wrong with a kind, welcoming way in pointing them in the right direction.

Attually,i remember quite a few threads with bad responses. I got one myself when i posted upsome new creator sets earlier this year. Very well said hinckely39.

Agreed. From what ive seen in the previews, everything looks great. Story line seems good, as are the characters, and the animation is absolutly fantastic. I too am a fan of the new designs. Unfortuntly some people just don't realise that with todays CGI technology people just aren't going to accept a bunch of blocky robots running around. Weather people like the designs or not there's no denying the animation is top notch. Looking forward to this one!

So i decided to check out the transformers forums.... Wow. What a bunch of babies. I don't think some will be satisfied unless theres a new G1 cartoon. Sad really.

looking forward to all 3! And i might just use the bulldoser in asisting me in clean up! -
Great review! I only wish that it came with a tow truck like the older gas stations did. Oh well. and yes, i think we all wish gas prices were that cheap!
-
After looking at some online photos, it looks like your right. He has sort of a hunched of look in robot mode. On a side note, does anyone know if optimus prime will have a trailer? If i remeber correctly from the G1 series, he had a trailer and it housed a little scout car or somthing to that nature. If i'm wrong i opolgize. That would be cool if he had a trailer in the movie too.
-
I noticed that too. Maybe he's using the truck mode wheels. BUt i absultly love the war cry he gives while charging at optimus prime! Great way to end the trailer!

As long as she serves her time in jail and isn't pardned like she was trying to i'm fine. Maybe this will teach her that not even her with her millions can get her speacail treatment. But i have to agree, that as much as people want her to go away, sites like this (the pairs go away, not eurobricks) just give her more attention.

Great new trailer! I'm really looking forward to this movie, but am trying not to get my hoped up. When i do, i ussually get let down with the story line. Although this seems preety promising. God line up of actors, story line seems good (from what ive caught on at least), and the animation is absolutly fantastic! One thing i was happy to hear... When optimus prime transforumed in front of the two kids, he made the classic "transformers transforming sound!" You know the one i'm talking about! Good sign that there keeping some things true to the original series!

I'd like an RV of some sort.(many europeans refer to them as Caravans) Preferably a truck and 5th wheel trailer, but a regular class "c" style camper with a slide out will do. If i remember correctly, lego did this a couople times in the 80's, early 90's. One was a car and trailer, and the other was a RV towing a boat. Great sets! We need more!

What techinc do you have left? Aslo what town sets do you have? Am intersted in all the above meationed. ;)

Virginia Tech Shootings, 33 killed, including shooter!!!
5150 Lego replied to Corpreal363's topic in Community
Pity the shooter? You got real issues. How do you know how is life was? Even if he had a bad childhood or what not, it in no way excuses him. And just cause he went on a shooting rampage dosen't mean he went through hell. Look at the colombine shooters. They were regular kids with no "hard life". Just some really messed up indviduals. So in the end i'd have to say i pity you for that coment.
