So i just got back from a 4 wheeling trip. I must say, it was quite an invigorating experiance! I never thought my truck could get through the trails it did! I'm working on gettting some pics up. Anyone here every go wheeling?

I saw this earlier too. I have to say its very impressive, and inovative with the parts used.

Do you have insurance for your lego collection?

Agreed. I'd be sad if i lost my lego collection in a fire or what not, but it wouldn't be the end of the world either. But it would be nice to have some help to rebuild that collection. ;-) -

You have to remeber though that some people have been collecting longer that you and even I have been alive. I have alot of misalanious parts that my brother handed down to me from when they were kids ( i'm 25 now). Many have sets that are discontinued, and are very rare. (like the locomotive that hobbes recently did a review on). I know my collection is worth somwhere between 3, to $5,000 and thats counting the sets that are put toeghter right now and just collecting in in the last couple of years. I can imagine what others that have spent. Espeacally the ones that have all the starwars collection. To the people that might think that insuring lego is a little "extreme" or "wierd". whats the differnce than insuring any other house hold posetions in your home? granted it not considered a household item of nessaity, but it is considered a valued postion to many. espeacially to the ALFC. I myself don't have my collection insured, but i might look into it now. -
Been seing some new preveiws the last few days on TV. You even get a shot of optimus prime in truck mode.

If you look at the parts used, this is at least 4 firestations. The give away is the number of bays used and base plates. I really like the fact that fire endines all fit in the bays. Thats one thing that didn't make sence to me about the new station. The engine that comes with it doesn't even fit inside without sticking out the back. I'm redoing mine right now simular to this one. Probblt not as extrgavant though.

If this doesn't make sence... Calvin and Hobbes is a very popular comic strip in the U.S. about a boy and the many adventures with his stuffed tiger. He had a very vivid imagination, and in his eyes his stuffed tiger was more than just a stuffed animal. hence why in his mind hobbes was tearing up the theropist, and they flew to mars, but really didn't. But i'm sure you gathered that much. :-) Hope that helps. This was so funny. Calvin and hobbes was my all time favorite comic growing up. I was preety sad when Bill waterson stopped making it. Oh well, i have all but 2 of the collectors books to glance at every once and a while. *wub*

You can find soming boring in an sport. weather it be motorsports, or regualar. It all just comes down to personal taste. I won't bash you for your opinion. Its your and your intitled to it. As long as you respect those who like it, then there shouldn't be any hangings tonight :-P . I personally hate nasacar. Now THATS boring. As a comedian once put it..."its a bunch of *cencered* driving around in a circle for at 200mph for 3 hours.!!! There making a left turn...and another left turn... and another... and another... Gee,.. a wonder whats gona happen next??!! *n*

sorry- Mclaren :-P It was a toss up for me. I have to agree with yoda that the Renault/Alonso combo was great. Unfortuntly money (and polotics of course) go hand in hand with racing. But i think that mclaren hopfully got all the kinks out this year as they claim there more deadicated to F1 this year. but if they do in fact have a repeat of last year, it won't matter who drives for them. Can't win a race if the car keeps breaking down. I'll be routing for Ferrari and mclaren this year. If Mclaren can get there cars up to par then it should get interesting.

What do you mean "euthanize"?

Thanks optimax! I'm curious to see what Alonso's times. are gona be. Think he made the right move switching to maclaren?

Happy B-day! I'm still enjoying all the techinc peices you sold me last year SuvieD

Again, i can understand if its built on display, but just sitting in boxes...... :-/ I mean ok. I have a buddy that collects mini figures and hot wheelscars. All are still in the packages. Some are over 20 years old. I still don't get it myself, but at least those are visable through the package. He says he'll never sell them, but he stoped collecting a few months ago, so we'll see what happens in time. Just doesn't make sence to me to look at a bunch of boxes. Espeacally for a toy/model thay just begs to be built. I just can't see waiting and waiting for somthing to come out, buying the set, coming home and then just putting it on the shelf. But to each his own.

Atually shumi had nothing to do with me getting back into it. Though i must admit, it will actually and to the suspence of the season now that he has retired. You have to admit that. :-) It probbly has to do with the fact that speed chanel is going to have better coverage this year. (last year you were lucky if you saw a couple of hours ever few months, unlike there nascar coverage witch was about 4 hours a day... no kidding *n* ) I'll alos have a chance to strart watching it from the begining this time instead of catching bits and peices hear and there. Should be a good season with all the new changes this year. What year, engine/trans?

Impressive. though that must have taken some incredible will power not to open any ot them up! But to be honest, i just really don't see the point. Though his collection is no doubt impressive, to me, lego is made to be enjoyed. Not sit in a box. Maybe his plans are to sell them all one day..... Maybe he plans to be buried with them :'-) Either way, there just wasting away down there.

Wow, thats alot to keep up on! Me , i like F1 (reading up on it more and more every day now :-) ) American Lemans GT series, rally dakar rally, Baja, but my absolute favorite right now is drifting! ( as you can tell by my avatar;)Went to an event a few years ago for my B-Day and have been hooked ever since. The smell of race gas, tire smoke, and the sound of engines bouncing of the rev limiter! There's nothing better! *y* X-D Here's a question. What makes a certain motor sport apealing to watch/follow up on? With so many differnt forms of racing i'm curious why people like the sports they do. Ussually for me, the cars have to resemble or be the same as the ones on the street, just modified for the paticular racing event there entered in. Not a fully tube chassis car that has a fiberglass body over it (this is why i don't like Nascar). F1 and GT are exeptions because 1.- I love the sound! :-) Espeacally of an F1 car going through the grears and down shifting. Almost as sweet as an american big block V-8 with open headers! X-D 2.- F1 and GT are some of the most technilogical forms of racing out there. You have to respect that.

This thread is stupid. *n* Not only is it mean, you (or anyone for that matter) have no right ripping on these peoples ideas. Yes i admit there have been some creations and what not that haven't made sence to me in the past, but i doesn't give me the right (or anyone else)to rip on them on a public forum. IF you don't like what you see then pass it up. Hopfully this thread gets locked.

Hmm... Looks cool. But i wonder how comfortable it really is. It says its rubberized, so i'm guessing it has just the minimal. Maybe simular to a dddesk chair. I'd love to sit in one in person. Wouldn't mind buying it if i knew it would be comfortable.

So lto keep this topic going, lets talk about motorsports? What are peoples farvorite motrosports? This could be anything from drag racing, to motocross to F1.

So your not even 18 yourself Preety contradicting coment. :-|

I hear ya. My town is cafe corner, and the new fire station. Back on topic, great little city! Do you have any more pics of your fire station? I like how you butted up both garages toeghter.

Chill out dude. If you have a problem with somone or there posts, then send a Pm to the mods. As far as the under 18 crowd you really need to be carfull about your coments. Thats rude, and completly uncalled for on your part. There are plenty of peeps on here that are under 18, and have no problems. I have never heard of people not here not wanting memebers under 18 as long as they are respectfull to others.
