  1. the person above me is a big transformers fan and was recently scored very high in a national academics test.
  2. The person above me just confuzed the heck out of me,but from the sound of it knows his stuff when it comes to ranking in the militray. Weather it be fictionous,or not. X-D
  3. Sorry about that. Its Just just that some people just won't accept this movie for what it is.From some peoples coments they seem to have expected the next academy award winning"film" and not the action packed entertainment that it is. I put in you that catagory at first. I opoligize for that. To each his own i guess. But i did feel that the "love scenes *wub* " helped the overall story, and help show the bond that Bumble Bee had with Sam and Micheala. So there was at least some purpose.
  4. Oh com'on dude. First off, this was a movie about robots blowing themselfs up. Not Casablanka. They weren't the best lines, but they certainly didn't take away from the movie either. It was all need parts of the story. Again, many were made to be mmore comical than anything.
  5. The person above me doesn't see transformers for what it was meant to be. A hot action movie with great speacail effects and not made to be an academy award winning storyline. He also has one of the best sigs on the boards X-D .
  6. Umm, i don't recall any real "love scenes" in the movie. Other than sam flocking over Michela at times, and i thought those parts were halarious.
  7. I can defeantly understand not wanting questions being asked during the middle of the movie. Ihad thathappen to me many times and your right. Its ussually right in the middle of an important part or action scene. I tried not to watch to many Making of shows cause i didn't want them to show to much ofthe movie other than what i had already scene on the net and such. Funny. Now that ive scene it i can't catch a making of anywhere as before, they were practicly thrown in my face! *wacko*
  8. Very impresive! Congrats ongetting it putin the movie theater window!
  9. Hinkely ride. ^ wide and seats4. Very creative. The dodge was a close second for me!
  10. Thanks! The suspetion on the boat trailer was the hardest thing about it. Attually all 3 trailers have supsetion. The goose neck and semi use a "swing arm" that conescts both axles and then conects to the frame at the center point. I'm working on a simular suspention set up for them like the boat trailer, but what i have now seems to work the best with the weight that they carry. I've thought about doing that too. Just can't figure out what to do yet. tried that as well. I can get the main platform to raise and lower with pnuematics, but then the second folding ramp still needs a way to unfold. Iv'e tried gears, but its to much wieght. ...But now that you meantion it, as the firsr ramp lowers down, the second one starts to unfold on itsown due to the weight, and angle. Imight not need it other than the pnuematics. Thanks gylman. I'm going to look into that a bit. Yup. The front of the trailer is acttualy tappered a bit. I did this when the trailer was built when the truck was still a 2 axle. This allowed the trailer to be farther forward to the truck, and still allow it to piviot 90 degrees without hitting the crane on the back of the truck. It also aloowed room for the storage basket on the front. Mud flaps are a good idea. I'll try out a few designs to see what looks best!
  11. So i tried this once before, but couldn't post pics up at the time. I manged to made a folder on brickshelf for one trailer, but the other two were left out. So here we are. I'll start with the one i previously posted, my two axal goose neck trailer. This is a tipical trailer used to haul medium to heavy equipment Its made to tow behind fullsize pickup trucks, and meduim duty "mini semi" trucks. It hitches up to the truck by way of a ball mounted in the truck bed over the rear axle. This givesthe truck much better stability to haul larger loads. The landing gear is hand cranked so the truck can hitch/unhitch on uneven ground. Another pic with a tipical back hoe that you would see on trailers like this. The next trailer is a boat trailer i use to haul 7244 speed boat. Though this is not a techinc boat, there was obviouosy nothing in the city line big enough to tow such a large behemoth! Needed a way to get it from the garage to the ocean and or lake, this was it! The trailer has a winch system to pull the boat onto the trailer when its being picked at the boat launch as well as locking it donw to the trailer during transport between races. Its a 3 axle unit, with full suspention and hitches ot the truck via a standard bumper hitch. Shot with it hooked up to the truck, ready to go racie'in! Here we have the cream of the crop! This is my heavy duty low bed semi trailer. This is whati use when i need to get the real heavy equipment to the job site. its over 2 feet long, and can haul 2 peices of equipment. It also has a rear hitch whitch allows a second trialer to be hitched up if needed. It has a fold down rampin the back, and storage up front for chains and warning cones and such. The landing gear is the same as the goose neck trailer. It hitchs to the truck via standard king pin on the trialer, and 5th wheel on the truck. This type of hitch is needed to haul such heavy loads. I buitl this trailer spesifically for my 3 axle 8436 truck. I built it with the crane arm because i knew that i was going to build a trailer like this beforei even bought it. I added the third axle casue not only does it look better, but it really needed to support all the weight from the trailer when it was fully loads with construction equipment and such. A shot with truck and trailer hitched up ready to go. Thanks for looking. You can see the rest of the pics at my Brickshelf gallery. http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=266886
  12. really? I found it alot of fun to go with friends and family. Just saw it for a second time yesterday with some friended who haden't seen it. They played with the toys as kids, but did have an exstensive following. They loved it! Though to each his own i guess. Just remeber to have fun!
  13. Good points and examples Klaus. Those little motorcycle shops were nice. I can see how kids would be intersted thoses little shops. Those houses were nice too. I'm not saying that no one would buy them, butmore of what would people more prefer. It no doubt that people want little shops and such. Has lego built them in the past? Yes. Did they do well? Don't know. My guess is that not as well as the'd hoped whitch is why we haven't seen anything simular for quite some time. Do the police themes do well? Absolutly. No question there. This is why like it or not, you'll see new police stations ever 3 to 4 yrs. Now as far as kids don't buy the sets, your right. Parents grandparents and such ussually do. BUt most of the time there not out to buy for themselfs. There out to buy what there child/grandchild wants. There is a huge AFOL cumminity. This is whyi fell banks libraries andsuch would be better suited for the cafe" corner and market street style sets. Mainly becasue sets like these don't offer much in function that other city sets do. Sets that have higher levels of detail than your average city set.
  14. Iwent the other day to TRU to see if anything new caught my eye. There was a boy (probbly around 11 or so) that was trying to decide between the the poilce station or the new airport. The mother nocticed the new creator house and asked "Won't you rtather have this nice little house instead?" "Ewww!" he said. "Boys don't play house mom!" lol. I though it was preety funny. I have to agree with him though. Although i wouldn't have minded a lego house like that when i was a kid, it probbly wouldn't have been the first thing on my list. I would have been doing the same thing that kid was doing. Attually, when it came to bigger sets, i think i preety much knew what i wanted when i came into the store.
  15. Very nice! Extremely creative!
  16. LOL. Ok, thanks for the info. I read through a few of those "complaints". While some are true problems, (ironhide is a pain to transform, and Barricade is a pain to get his rear feet to sit right back in mustang mode),most are just stupid. Some people can't seem to realize that they have bought $10 plastic toys and not a brand new lexus. You bound to have problems here and there. I'm not saying this is an excuse to make junk, but you have to give them some slack.
  17. I keep hereing from people that they feel that the current police station is too "<insert that tiresome argument>". I really dont get it. while i don't have one myself, it looks like it has a very nice design with some cool features. I personally think its the best poilce station we've had yet. I'm curious to how lego will beat this one.
  18. Not intirely. Some taxi companies buy retired police cruisers, but most buy new taxis. There outfitted simular as Poilce Crown vic interceptors though. I here waht tyou mean about being uniformed. Iagree 100 percent. Thats why i siad you could use the ones that are differnt as highway patorl of evn the sherrif cars. I can't wait to see what the new polics sstation looks like! If i don't like then i'll just pick up the current one from Bricklink.
  19. how about you turnsomeof them into comminuty service or traffic Enforcment vehicles. Or secuity? They could be sold to the local park and recreation center for security purposes for just that. Or half could be city police, and the other half highway partol. Just an idea. You can never have enough police. Wheni finnally get mine toeghter (i'll probbly be getting the new police station) i'll be getting at least 6 patrol cars, 2 off road units, 1 helicopter, 1mobile command trailer or RV (undecided) and a cuminity service truck with a radar trailer (the little trailers that tel you how fast your going). 08 should be a fun year!
  20. Just trying to understand why you said transformers were "robots in disgrace". Thats all.
  21. Nice sinner! I did the same with mine! Sorry for the blurry pics, but my camera doesn't seem to like closeups of small objects. the rest of the gallery can be seen here when public http://www.maj.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=149873
  22. Thanks Hinckley the the coments! I added the spare myself. I had two extra wheels and tires, so i wanted to utilze at least one of them. Helps complete the look of the truck don't ya think? Yup. In califorina, your lony alowed 2 trailers Or a maz of around 65 feet. (I think) I other states your alowed 3 trailers and over 100 feet in lenth.I orinally wanted to make a Supper bee trailer. (5th wheel hitch is built into the first trailer eliminating the dolly. This is prefered way to tow 2 trailers in Canada. But it wouldn't work with dumpers since it would esential dump the load onto the rear axle) Here is an example .. The number of wheels/axles all depends on the weight requiremnet for that patiualr state. Some states require 3 axles for a certain weight, while others may only require 1, 2 or more. Here are some more examples of custom trailers made to meet certain stese wieght-per-axle requirments... http://www.advanceengineeredproducts.com/p...tictrailers.php They lift the sets that are not needed to reduce where wear on the tires and bearings. I'm about to get going on the process of getting my Class-A license for my job. It will be interesting to see all the laws and restrictions per state
  23. Thanks! I didn't need to many more peices than what the set original set came with, but i used as many original parts as i could. 7900 isa great set, but i really don't consider the bridge a trailer, but it has huge potential. I can use mine to tow the 7998 trailers. I also built a lowbed trailer for it as well.
