[SoNE Ep. XIII] Hapes - First Target
Tariq j replied to Mads Heering's topic in Nar Eurbrikka Archive
As said above, small builds are always hard because there's so much you want to add into the build. I think you've pulled it off well. I also like the speeder. -
The City of Benlem on Tatooine was the sort of place you could walk through without noticing. It was fairly bland, generic and most importantly, it had no security. Unlike Courscant there were no X-Rays, scanners, cameras, or anything of the sort. The rule here was simple: you take off or you land. End of Story. The security was so bad a rebel scum could've landed here and built a base and the residents would still go on with there day to day lives without batting an eye. And that's what made it the perfect place for a criminal, or specifically, The Black Sun. The mission was simple: Eliminate any members. I had two Deathroopers watching my back, even if the whole population of Tatooine had been here, I still would have known who it was. I raised my blaster hoping he would stay he was, It was vital that as soon as he was dead we ran. We had heard the rebels had come scouting for Black Sun members too,and this was not he ideal place to meet them. Then I fired, it was over immediately, and from the looks of things we hadn't attracted too much attention. I felt sorry for the man, but then, how many of my friends had died in battle? Thank you for reading! C and C welcome.

All of the first two waves of the 2015 sets. The Troop Transport from TFA and some of the January 2016 sets.

A Wing is a great set and must buy for me. I guess the Landspeeder is one of those if you have it, great, if you don't, here's your chance to pick it up.

[SoNE Ep. XIII] Bothawui - Transfer Mission
Tariq j replied to WickNole's topic in Nar Eurbrikka Archive
Fantastic build! The cutaway effect looks great. -
Given the outstanding level of detail we've been given over the last few years, it does seem so unlike Lego to make such a basic error. But these things are subject to change when it comes to box art so we just need to wait for the physical figure to be photographed.

That accompanying drum beat is amazing! As is the music at the end.

I imagine much like the Carbonite Chamber there'll be a central lever which controls the medical table allowing it to flip over like the original version.

The LEGO Batman Movie Set/CMF Rumors & Discussion
Tariq j replied to Sir Gareth's topic in LEGO Licensed
Looks like the sort of thing you would get free in a magazine based on the packaging. -
Well actually as stated above there is an excuse since Lego (and other toy companies) were given concept art in which the shuttle was depicted white/grey and presumably stationary wings hence why the set looked like it did.

Pixar Animation Studios and Films Discussion

I like that teaser, there's definitely been a massive improvement of animation since both Cars Movies. It looks like there's going to be a repeat of what happened to Doc Hudson.- 279 replies

Well there are essentially 5 and half waves of sets currently on shelf, so I guess with another three waves coming next year, they're preparing early. We still don't know how big the the Episode 7 wave will be. It could be 7 sets like TFA, or more. -
Duel of the Fates looks good. I think they should have included another curved section at the back to make it feel a little more complete. I think like the Carbonite set, it definitely looks like you'll need to buy two or three of these to create something a little more substantial. I do quite like that laser shield mechanism. The Phantom looks amazing! The minifigures are great and I like the look of the shuttle. The battle packs also look great, it's finally good to see we're getting a traditional good guys vs bad guys set which was kind if abanded after the one sided battle packs were brought back in 2014.

First off, thank you for taking the time to do this amazing review! It's great to see all the various build the stores has incorporated. I love the London theme to it. I absolutely love the Tube lift I'm definitely hoping to go there soon! -
I think it's a January release, we've just been given the Rogue One pictures only.

On the UK Lego Shop, a bunch of sets, including Vader's TIE Advance which came out this year have all been marked as retiring soon, that is a mistake right? https://shop.lego.com/en-GB/Star-Wars-Sets?S1=&callback=json&cc=gb&count=18&do=json-db&i=1&jsonp=jsonCallback&lang=en&pt=shop&q=*&q1=AE0F776D-FD75-4DB9-9DAD-AD4852EC41F3&q2=setTypesFacetCategory&rank=gb_rank&showRetired=false&sort=sort_flags&sp_q_exact_9=gb&x1=theme_id&x2=productType_id -
The LEGO Batman Movie Set/CMF Rumors & Discussion
Tariq j replied to Sir Gareth's topic in LEGO Licensed
Lego don't owe you pictures, nor does Brickset, or anybody else for that matter. Early pictures are a privilege, not a right or need. Just relax... -
I think it would make a fantastic set, Lego have kind of touched upon this in the past with the Lego Truck set and I think this would make a good addition. I also think what makes this set good is the fact that any Lego fan, young or old, can relate to it.

Yeah, the credits were an amazing touch on Filoni's part, and a really good homeage to the Clone Wars.

Large Harry Potter Layout Lego World the Netherlands
Tariq j replied to sander1992's topic in LEGO Licensed
I don't think I've ever seen an HP layout which encompasses all/most of the HP locations as one build, but you've really nailed it The layout is good and doesn't feel squashed or compact.- 8 replies
