Harry Potter: Cursed Child Discussion
Tariq j replied to xboxtravis7992's topic in Culture & Multimedia
I too, have not had the chance to read it yet, but will definitely get round to doing so. In other news, Rowling had announced she's writing three short Harry Potter stories. I really like the idea of her doing more "anthology" type stories based of different characters in the series... In a similar way Disney are making more films based on certain characters in Star Wars. -
I also vote yes Lindsey seems the most townie at the moment and we're very close to winning. There's a higher chance we'll pass a town policy.
-
And the good thing about Lego is, if you don't like something, you can change it. I think there's tons of MOD's out there with the outer shell of 10143 and the structure of 10188.
-
Well that explains the comments about fans being "divided" on the set. Those who already have 10188 may not want to get thus set, where as fans who missed out on 10188 have a chance to get an updated version. It's interesting to hear the Final Duel room will still be included in the set despite only being redesigned last year. I wonder whether they'll take inspiration from the 2015 version or simply update 10188 version.

Since a new mayor has to be elected in a 24 hr period will this day be slightly longer than the rest? I concur with the desicion of Lindsey ad mayor, definitely are safest choice since we can't let the scum pass another policy.
-
Not necessarily, a scum mayor, particularly on the first day, would want to appear town. So if he were to get two scum cards and a town card he would discard the scum card to look town and if he were to get two town cards and a scum card he would discard the scum.card to look town.

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 16 Rumors and Discussion
Tariq j replied to 8BrickMario's topic in Special LEGO Themes
The whip piece looks amazing for Indiana Jones. -
All I can say is I received two mafia cards, do either Fhommes is scum and has discarded a town card or got 3 mafia cards. The latter seems unlikely though.
-
I really hope they do the shard. London Eye sounds good.
-
I also vote yes. to myself. I know I'm town and this is my chance to prove it.
-
If Duel of the Fates is 69.99, I would hope it was a Final Duel/Palapatine's Arrest style set. Possibly set out as one long corridor.
-
I'd be up for that. I also wouldn't mind seeing other characters backstories like Belloq, we know he was an archeologist just like Indy so I imagine he would have also had some adventures.

I find it interesting (and convenient) that one of the most suspected players in the game chooses to nominate a player who's given out a town read. There are still two players who haven't been in government and would be good to get a read on them. The fact that Edward has been giving off town reads makes it more likely for a town policy to be passed. Thus making you look town. I'm also going to vote NO

I really like Krennic's shuttle. And that AT-ST looks excellent. My endor collection will be getting a few additions... A little disappointed with absence of OT stormtroopers. Especially since they aren't in loads of sets at the moment anyway. The printed goggles on the pilot look awesome, I definitely hope we see more of those.
-
Well...Yes, they're flawed, I won't deny that. But to me it's things like that make the Jedi interesting. Are they really the heroes of the war or the villains? The idea of Palpatine working his way up to power and using Anakin as way of infiltrating the order, again, it shows us its flaws, but it still makes it more interesting. I don't think they are boring or bland either. There is much more to the Jedi than the just the movies and a show like The Clone Wars proves that.
-
I agree, If Erik can confirm this, and a town policy is passed, I'd say you were town.

It would be great to see if the scene or explanation as to how Indy lost his eye. And possibly show his future family that we see in the TV Show. It would be great to see if the scene or explanation as to how Indy lost his eye. And possibly show his future family that we see in the TV Show.

Well we don't necessarily know it's the same Batman that we see in The Lego Movie. Sure, it's Batman but it may not be Finn's Batman. This movie might be the imagination of a different kid.

I think The main problem is they failed to see the obvious when it was staring them in the face. Order 66, which stated that Republic Commanders could eliminate the Jedi with Lethal Force and all powers would go to the chancellor could have been looked up by any Jedi in the temple. The key catch was, up until Order 66 itself, the Jedi assumed the Chancellor was on their side so even if a Jedi had looked this up they wouldn't have suspected anything.

The Space and Air Museum looks quite interesting. I don't think we've seen any Museum sets in the passed before so it would be great if this one got 10k and passed the review.
-
From past sets I'm guessing that's not the case. And I'm hoping it isn't. The Bluewater store has always had the "Toys R Us exclusive" and so have amazon.

I also will vote Yes

What're your favorite and least favorite Star Wars sets?
Tariq j replied to Loco de Lego's topic in LEGO Star Wars
If you're looking at the minifigure side of things I'd say the 2013 version definitely wins. You get Mace Windu and Coleman Trebor (both of which are exclusive to that set) plus some clones and geonosis battle droids. The 2008 lineup is okay but a lot of those figures are very common and I'm not if your a fan of the CW eyes. -
Yes, but we want try and get a clear read (or at least a fair idea) of other players who haven't spoken up that much. Take Scott for example, he hasn't said anything for two days... He could easily be a scum or even the Godfather trying to lie low (and given how much focus has been dedicated to the investigation that was quite easy to do) If we put him as the TCC, yes, we are taking a gamble, but we're a step closer to figuring out whose stories match up and whose don't. And so its easier to eliminate the townies and catch the scum. Hear me out, I'm not saying Christiana being TCC is a bad thing, if Micheal wants her as TCC then by all means he can do it. But I think it would be wiser to let someone who hasn't really contributed that much to step up and give us something to work on.
-
The reason why I forgot about Christiana was she was giving off town reads to me and I was actually more focusing on Scott and Erik because they have been very inactive for most of the game. And thus it was hard for me (and probably most of us) to get a read on them. Where as Christainan has been very active for the majority of the game.
