  1. Sadly it uses 2x2 wedge plates that dont exist in lbg. You couldmake the OT version though.
  2. Wow the tie striker looks like they literally cut a regular tie cockpit in half and stuck it to a toilet paper roll with some cardboard wings attached. They didn't even bother dressing up the top hatch halves.
  3. That's just the UCS from forever ago with a different radar assembly unfortunately. Does anyone happen to have screenshots of the FO transport microfighter?
  4. Giving credit to someone while trying to profit off of them is still unethical. Had you bought the rights and design it would have been fine but you did not. Your tweaks and edits don't make them your creations. So yes you ARE stealing.
  5. Yet another moc hes passing off as his own and selling.
  6. And also probably stolen designs. He's selling designs made by other people, he has numerous listings based on my delta7. He didn't even bother dressing up the base model in one of his listings, save for a couple parts. Not to mention all the designs based on official TLG models. This guy is scum.
  7. This looks like a decent reverse engineered Mike (psiaki)'s p-51. I'm all for building other peoples MOC's and giving it your own spin, but you don't seem to acknowledge the original in any of your topics. It is common courtesy to credit the original creator. Mike's p51:
  8. The underside looks a bit rough, and the black in the middle part of the panels looks a bit too narrow. The rest is fantastic though! It never occurred to me to use the macaroni pieces instead of the more angular corner piece, I will have to try and see how it looks on the official model. How's the stability with it sitting on the panels? It's a bit hard to tell how you've stiffened them up so they don't fold inwards. I really don't like how 75150 tie stresses the plastic when you use the panels as the only support, I actually made a stand for it because I dislike it so much, I'm hoping your version is better.
  9. Could you not bump these old topics please, you can pm people with a request for the lxf files. This is the bazillionth topic you've bumped with the same request and the bazillionth time I got disappointed thinking it's a new creation or cool new addition to an old one.
  10. Put him in the sf tie fighter, he's always wanted to fly one of those things.
  11. It looks pretty nice, nice attention to detail. I does look a bit too wide, or perhaps its a perspective thing and the arms are too thin. However the way the main body connects to the wings is way too flimsy, they pop off way too easily that way. Maybe use the SF TIE fighters way of connecting to the wings? Belkor made his modification before the recent TLG version was released.
  12. Pretty much this. I'm a tinkerer personally, I leave very little sets in their original state. I can always find something I'm not happy with and want to change to suit my needs. That's the best part of collecting LEGO, don't like something, change it! Whenever people complain and say TLG should change stuff to make it more accurate or something such it's mind boggling to me. No one is forcing them to stick with the instructions. Wasn't there a movie about that very thing wink wink.
  13. Blokker holding has a monopoly on toystores in most regions in the Netherlands. I imagine that's a factor in setting the price here. There is no way the 2% extra tax accounts for 10 euros extra on any set more expensive than 50 euros/dollars in other regions. However, many dutch stores focused on online sales use the more reasonable "european" msrp.
  14. I'm guessing they are used, in which case the pricing seems to be a little on the high side. There's a bunch of sets that have more recent counterparts so unless you are a collector of sorts I would personally skip those. Like pretty much everyone so far I would also recommend 9500! I also like the pirate tank, which features Hondo (who I like as a character), I regret not getting that one.
  15. My guess is that they have, but you have to keep in mind that their test/target audience are kids. Neither of those sets are very interesting for kids. The big reveal scene isn't very kid friendly and honestly would make a terribly boring playset by itself. Not to mention too similar to the (very recent) death star duel. The cloud car is also pretty boring in my opinion. It didn't interest me as a kid and doesn't interest me now. At least the skyhopper (a kind of backgroundish vehicle as well) has some kind of connection to the main character. The main problem with cloud city is that there's just very little action happening outside of the duel and escape. There is a clear pattern regarding playset style sets. Hoth and Endor feature plenty of action in the movies, and also tatooine to a lesser extent. To my nephews Cloud City is just that place Vader chopped off Luke's hand.
  16. Look pretty neat, I really like what you did with the side panel door thing. You got the overall shape and features down for sure. The only thing I would suggest changing is the windscreen piece, as that just looks really off to me. It looks too much like it belongs on a pickup truck or something. Also I like studs, please dont make it studless =P.
  17. Hey there, nice to see it finished. I really like what you did with the back and underside, my version suffers from ugly underside syndrome like official models hehe.
  18. While it looks pretty cool the wings don't actually scissor in the movie, they rotate and function as landing gear. I do think the BF version looks better though. However, both versions of the wings in landed mode would be fairly hard to reproduce in minifig scale. Here's a picture from the movie with v-wings in the background, http://imgur.com/BtoI4S8 .
  19. Err why aren't you comparing them to the real thing. It reads like you are comparing the new version to the old version. In which case yeah the new one would be inaccurate, but that doesn't make it accurate compared to the studio model.
  20. Man I love this so much! The transport has really grown on me I have to say, used to think it looked like a flying brick. The way you've included a functional hatch and ramp, awesome! I'm definitely going to try to build one of these suckers!
  21. I wholeheartedly disagree with you on this I have to say. The Tie advanced prototype is awful, it doesn't look anything like the tv version. And vader's new tie looks so much more accurate than the previous version. If anything the old version looks like a junior's set.
  22. Maybe they just shop at the same clothing store... Kind of ridiculous to think they might be related because a LEGO version of the character has the same pants haha.
  23. Looks very good so far. I'm amazed at how the phantom isn't even that much bigger than the official version and yet manages to hold the whole crew. I do think the wings look a bit too fat though, but I realize it's impossible to get them as thin as the real thing. The angle of the cockpit section looks a bit too much but still a huge improvement. Are you going to make the upgraded version as well? With the droid socket and bigger "engines" I mean, or make it convertible to that, that would be sweet. Anyhow great job so far, keep it up!
  24. You should push the pylons in until they (audibly) click, they're actually super sturdy if you attach them properly. Don't be afraid to break it. The ones on the original (9492), now those are flimsy.
