Try putting a minifig torso on your seat. Maybe add a 1x2 plate for hips, maybe not because Rey crouches when she rides. The legs would be down next to the engine, as you say. That should give you a better scale to work from when comparing the two in profile. I think if you do that, you'll find that you've gone a little too small.

Mini MOC - Death Star Trench Run
rollermonkey replied to GeneralWashington420's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Really? How about giving us a REASON to click that? Like teaser images, some discussion points, ANYTHING. -
Nope. We thought it would retire when the Mini Cooper came out and it didn't. It should definitely retire now that the Ferrari is out too, but it hasn't. It would seem that the set is particularly with Baby Boomers, and is still selling well, often to people who had a Vanagon when they were younger.

Probably not for at least a few days after all the Force Friday hullaballoo dies down. -
LEGO Star Wars 2015 Pictures and Rumors

I actually don't. I'm really more of a builder than a minifig guy, but my time here has shown that a LOT of people here are minifig obsessed. There's only @80 more pieces from the X-Wing to the FO Transport, which at $10 more, some would say is too much for too little, but we also know figs tend to be high-cost pieces, so 7 figs in the FO ship versus 3 and a very simple 2-piece droid in the X-wing would generally considered a pretty sizable gap in the set's values for many people. How many people thought Rey's Speeder was going to have 4 figs? Quite a few. Most of the speculation about figures in sets was way off, and always higher. Either way, I suspect that the FO Transport may turn out to be very popular, even if just because it has more army builder potential than many, if not most non-BP sets over the past several years. Plus, having a few landing craft would quickly reach a point where an awesome invasion vignette could be created. -

Four more figures for $10. I think that suggests that the X-wing is a poor value. -

This is very strange, as one of the toys is a Phasma mask with pre-recorded dialogue, and it's clearly Gwendolyn Christie's voice. (It's not disguised or modulated in any way.) I can't get over what a ridiculous price the X-wing is... For $10 more, you get 81 more pieces in the transporter and FOUR more minifigs? That's insane. -
First Order Transport will be here in 2 days, thanks to Amazon Prime.

I kept everything in its individual bags, then spread them out around me. I put each one back where it came from, and pretty quickly, I started to remember where the pieces were. -

My local Target and TRU had no new sets on the shelves tonight, but Target now has the "Wolf1" type price tags on the shelves that weren't there a couple days ago. Neither even had the Advent, but the LEGO store had a whopping two. -

Someone ought to just sticky one of these "is TLG site down" topics instead of seeing a new topic for it every time TLG updates the site. -

Do we know that clip is CGI and not practical effects models? I mean, wasn't that the big deal over the past year, about how they were returning to practical effects as much as possible? Has anyone mentioned when or where that Threepio polybag will be? I've been reading all over and don't see anything locking it down. -

Looks like something that could be built with a fairly low piece count. -

Palpatine was in that Droid fighter (Trifighter?) from a couple years back. IIRC, that was a $25 or $30 set. -

Yeah... That drop to only 4 days for double points stinks. I should go hit my local stores, see what's up. Weird that the October calendar doesn't even have a date for a mystery release boxed off if there's supposed to be a D2C coming. Usually those are offered early to VIPs... Maybe the license agreement doesn't allow it? -
Tower Bridge 10214 New Box Design
rollermonkey replied to hwangmihee1's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Death Star wins this round. Released 2008, Tower Bridge is 2010. The rumors of that one's imminent retirement are older than Tower Bridge! I'm actually sad to see this, I was hoping for a replacement sooner, rather than later.- 15 replies
