Sorry to interject, but as an aficionado of drama, I must say that this is a fantastic idea! could also work well if secretlyalive!Raven comes to Koro in secret and orders him to find the assassin. (I'll also throw it put there that "the Invasive Species" my recent post-return series is very nearly at its end, and it will leave Onix wide open for Kawashita stories, should any of y'all wish to colab. ) Glad to see you back! Ok, long-range transmission over. ~Insectoid Aristocrat

Alien fleet. The O.C.S. Axle by Danny-Longlegs, on Flickr The O.C.S Axle, In Orbit Fractor V Dr. Long: "What do you mean they're not going to allow us to return!?" Odus Dillberg: "A.L.I.E.N. has moved a portion of its fleet into Sector G10. They've placed a several defensive craft in orbit Onix and will refuse the Axle's reentry into Onix orbit until they have 'ascertained the validity of rumours that Octan is developing a bioweapon'! They claim to believe that we're weaponizing the black-eye in our labs in Cerebus Station!" Dr. Long: "This is absolutely preposterous. A bioweapon as they're describing would be in direct violation of the Kuiper Pact. They should know that Octan would never condone such flagrant disregard for regulations as that. No... This is something else...A.L.I.E.N. is a Kawashita affiliate. Clearly Kawashita is attempting to assert themselves in the sector, and they are using their proxies in A.L.I.E.N. as pawns to prevent our good work from getting done. Hmm. I will not have it." Odus: "So... What are we going to do?" Dr. Long: "I will be returning to Onix to provide our allies there with the shipment they so desperately need." Odus: "But.. But the blockade." Dr. Long: "Reply to A.L.I.E.N. Inform them of the following; Octan refutes the existence of a bioweapon, and would be more than willing to internally investigate this matter, and we would be willing to cooperate with any A.L.I.E.N. run investigations into the violation of the Kuiper Pact they have described. This said, Octan does not recognize the authority of A.L.I.E.N. to prevent Octan's entry into a sector, nor to present Octan with ultimatums of this nature. The O.C.S. Axle will be returning to Onix, and it will continue to remain in orbit as we see fit. We would remind A.L.I.E.N. that the O.C.S. Axle is a registered Civil Structure, and that any use of force against the Axle is a declaration of war, and Octan's reprisal shall be swift and thorough." Odus: "Ok." Dr. Long: "Inform them that their blockade has failed. They will not prevent us from providing the people of Onix their emergency relief." Later, in Orbit of Onix.... We must sell these greeblefruit in the market, so that we can pay for the shaman to look at her eye." Daughter: "And why do I have to come along?" Father Oni-Ren: "You'll be the woman of the house soon. you must learn to sell produce at the market. The Gods know I can't do it myself." Daughter: "Daddy... Look at the sky... Look at those weird clouds, daddy!" Father Oni-Ren: "Those are not clouds, my daughter. Those are the sky-ships of the off-worlders. I've never seen so many before all at once..." We're filling crate after crate, but Danielle, should I be concerned about that alien fleet? I heard that they wanted to investigate for bioweapons? What the Yetornius is going on?" Dr. Long: "Do not worry about the fleet. They will not harm us." Dr. Martenz: "And those ships you brought in from Fractor V. Those are Nimbus Eagle troop carriers... Not scientific vessels." Dr. Long: "yes." Dr. Martenz: "I gotta ask... are we at war?" Dr. Long: "Octan is not at war. The people of Onix are in turmoil, Dr. Martenz. They are dying of the blackeye, and they languish under a tyrannical despot. Octan is invested in restoring order, and ensuring the wellbeing of all of our clients, current, and potential. We are providing relief and support during their time of crisis." Dr. Martenz: "Oh... I see... And... Which side do we support?" I'm just messing with you. MANTIS is a fine choice (not as fine as Octan, but...)... but they do have a lot of players at the moment, and seem to just keep growing. There's no limits on number of players, though, and unless something really drastic happens, it's likely to stay that way. Octan takes insult at your insinuation that we lie. Octan takes pride in the fact that our statements are very rarely entirely inaccurate. ~Insectoid Aristocrat -

Hey! Why would you want to crush Octans? Welcome to AG! Sorry you didn't join the right team. (If you need any proof that Octan is the right choice. just look at where our dominion lies on the map. All the other factions are left overs. ) Now seriously, people have gotta stop joining MANTIS. It's as though people still think they're the underdog. ~Insectoid Aristocrat -
Thanks! I wasn't expecting such a quick reply with positive feedback! I think I can get pictures up on Friday. Unfortunately my daylight isn't as effective as I thought... or perhaps I'm not great at using it. I may use similar techniques in larger builds in the future. I just wanted to get this out and didn't have time to build more than a Vignette. The wrong side? I joined the Dark side! It's got cookies! I was basically already playing an imperial officer in another game I'm sure no-one here has heard of, so I figured I'd make it official! Sad to see we won't be on the same side here (ditto to Wick Nole), but on the bright side, I'm sure we can find one area of common ground. Thanks for the compliments! Yes, yes I did. I hear this game is where people go to learn how to greeble. Thanks! Hopefully I can display the technique in a more suitably grandiose build (nothing too huge though, I'm not made of Lego.) Thanks! ~Insectoid Aristocrat

Yes, only 1 MoC can be presented for judging. If desired you can still build and present freebuilds. ~Insectoid Aristocrat -
Officer: "Hello, and welcome to final review. You have now passed all required classes to graduate the academy." DLL: "Yes!" Officer: *clearing throat* "Average scores in Military tactics, average scores in Imperial History, average scores in engineering and technology courses... Average marksmanship. It says here in special notes that your professors found you to be... average. But good at following orders." DLL: "Yes. I'm very good at that." Officer: "Please be quiet." DLL: "..." Officer: "Good. You will be assigned to a Stormtrooper regiment now that you have successfully graduated. Your name will be DLL-5222. Is this understood?" DLL: "..." Officer: "you may speak." DLL: "Understood perfectly! Oh I'm so excited!" Officer: "I can tell. Now, before you leave, we must review several other items." DLL: "Yes, officer." Officer: "It says here that your parents are deceased." DLL: "Yes. Killed by rebels!" Officer: "Tragic. No... force sensitivity in your family of which you are aware?" DLL: "None! I tested negative every single time." Officer: "Excellent. It also says here that you have associated with Gotals... Filthy creatures." DLL: "Ha, yeah, sometimes they can smell pretty bad when they don't bathe! " Officer: "Indeed. And... what inspired you to join the imperial troops?" DLL: "I want to do my part! Like my Ma and Pa! I'm sure they would have wanted me to join up and help end the chaos and war that the rebellion is causing! I just want to make the galaxy a better place! " Officer. "Great. Review is over. DLL-5222, proceed to processing. You have officially graduated the Imperial Academy." DLL: "Yay! I'm gonna be a stormtrooper! Oh, Ma and Pa would be so proud!" Officer" *to the other officer* "She won't last a single deployment." Other Officer: "No. She's a goner for sure." Officer: "Next!" _________________ Just a quick little build to Introduce my character. Hope you like it! ~Insectoid Aristocrat

[O-H06] The Bright Light of Civilization
Dannylonglegs replied to Dannylonglegs's topic in AG1 Archive
I updated the original post with new pictures with an edited sun that captures my original intent a little better. Unfortunately my brother wasn't around to help me take the shot, so the photo's not quite as good. Ah well. if only I realized I had the pieces to pull this off before hand. Thank you! Glad to hear you like the storyline. I had inkling of a plan for this story since the beginning, more or less (less), so I hope you find it enjoyable! And also yes. You just have to love Kevin! You have to. Those are the rules. Thanks! Glad to hear you think I portrayed Kevin well! The character is great, and I really like how you've written for him, so I'm glad you let me use him! Thanks for the complements! Putting the sun behind the building is a really good idea. I never thought of that, but now I wish it wasn't already scrapped! also glad to hear you didn't find it cross-esque. I get a bit paranoid about offending people, especially considering the character I play. ~Insectoid Aristocrat -
Thanks! ...ummm... future? The arms are from Martin Prince in the Simpsons minifigure line. I got him on accident but quickly found use for him! the legs are from the male tennis player. It's the same gettup I gave Dr. Long in "Pipe Dreams." It's her athletic gear. ~Insectoid Aristocrat

I love that Rover! Very fitting the classic space vibe (that has become somewhat a subculture of Kawashita) and the interior of the house is nice and serene. The screen is well done, and the scene is nice. ~Insectoid Aristocrat

Land vehicle indeed. Once again you produce an awesome vehicle with a hilarious story. I actually really like the shaping you got on this ship. Very smooth, and the front is creative and looks just awesome! As always, keep up the good work! ~Insectoid Aristocrat
