  1. First, let me congratulate you Christopher/Legostein for your 200th mini-MOC, it has really been our pleasure to witness your excellent creations at this building scale which you have certainly made as your field of expertise during these past years. As for the model, I was honestly surprised that you haven't made the mini version of this iconic SW ship yet until now. (Or did I miss a previous version of this one from you?). As always, this is a great mini representation of the real MF, and you even got some unconventional building techniques even at such a small scale. Impressive work as usual and looking forward for more creations from you in the future.
  2. Welcome aboard! Very interesting name, care to explain its meaning? (We have a dedicated topic here just for that.) Anyway, have fun here in Eurobricks.
  3. Welcome to the forums YodaMan24! It looks like we share same interests - Star Wars, LEGO, and WWE. Glad to have you here and continue enjoy the site!
  4. Another excellent creation Leo-J! As always, your knack for effectively pulling-off greebling details is very impressive.
  5. Now this is an entry that I could definitely see as a potential set, it has all the elements needed - a villain, a monster fish, and an Atlantis Diver with his 'required vehicle'. Both the Dragon Fish and Atlantis vehicle are very well done, great job overall and best of luck in the contest!
  6. I think for most of us we basically begin as set buyers/collectors, until we feel the urge to improve the standard sets and then we eventually (and unintentionally) become MOCers. Of course some remain to be collectors, which is perfectly alright too, but for those who aren't completely satisfied with what they're getting in official sets (like me), that's where the change of behavior - the 'turning of the tides' so to speak - starts. Personally, I've completely transformed from a set buyer/collector into a dedicated MOCer who now rarely buys official sets and just redirects my limited resources to Bricklink purchases to create builds of my own liking. I think it has something to do with lack of 'appealing sets' for me, I only buy sets that I really really like, but if I think can do a better job on the official one, I'd just rather make my own. And I'm also experiencing some slight shift in interest this year, with the relatively unappealing 2011 SW line-up and the great new licensed PoTC theme, I'd rather get the QAR over another MF.
  7. Wow, I'm really impressed with this batch, not that I'm not with the other series, it's just I like a lot of elements on this batch - Ant-Man's helmet (antennae are made of these right?), Black Panther's mask (good thing you only made the top for a sleeker head), and Hawkeye's unique brickbuilt bow. How about Marvel's opposition - DC? I like both of them actually, and DC does have an impressive line-up of superhero characters too - just imagine Justice League and Justice League Unlimited - you'll never run out of material there.
  8. WATCHMEN on HBO last night. Despite the mixed reviews, I personally find this a very entertaining movie, not your usual cookie-cutter superhero film format with an interesting way of story-telling.
  9. Another great Neo-London vignette Alopex, it's quite impressive how you effectively combine 'scrap parts' to come up with a convincing post-apocalyptic scene. Very well done!
  10. Very nicely done Walter! I love the framed 'paintings' on the wall as well as the statue sculpture. I agree the roof windows look great and really gives a feeling of an artistic room on an attic.
  11. Pretty neat customs L-Space! C-3PO's pearl gold body fits well this character's outfit. Nice job too on the custom-painted hats.
  12. And yet another masterful creation from you andy! As always, the grandness and intricate detailing of this temple is simply breath-takingly awesome. Brilliant job once again!
  13. Another very well done scaled-down version of your Model Team MOCs Lasse! It's nice to see the signature brickbuilt spheres of the original model are still in this mini-model. And you've got some pretty interesting and unique building techniques there too, especially in the front bumper. Excellent work as always!
  14. Same here, this is the first time I've known about this and I though the idea was born out of your own imagination Pep. But this is indeed a pretty neat version of those unique and radical propeller-cars.
  15. Great JT car Pep! I love the details you've put on this one, especially that huge front bumper. Looking forward for more more pics from your BS folder.
  16. Great job on recreating Inkog's MOC! And its really nice to know this is a father-and-son collaborative effort and you've even incorporated some additional play features to your liking. Very well done!
  17. I love the greebling details of this one, as well as the studless finish and the all-black color scheme. The purist custom bounty hunter is nicely-done too, though a bit more of a description would help. Good work and good luck in the contest! BTW, I think you have to put the appropriate subtitle as per the rules: I can't edit it for you since that's beyond my powers, but you could ask KimT to do it for you.
  18. Very well done The Penguin! They look much much better without those hideous CW eyes. Though I'm trying to figure out how you did these - it's either you carefully brassoed the eyes and printed new and better ones or it's photoshopped. Either way, these are definitely great subtle improvements. Well IMO, the basic all-black eyes is too simple and will look out-of-place when coupled with the other highly-detailed facial features. I have always thought that the pupiled eyes of recent minifigs is the perfect middleground between the simplicity of the classic all-black eyes and the creepiness of the CW anime eyes.
  19. "General Grievous, you're shorter than I expected." - Anakin Wow I never knew how disproportionately small the official GG fig is compared to regular minifigs (or it's the Nahdar fig that is too big). The vig is nice, though I have to agree it could use a few more greebles and details. Still, nice work and congrats on your 1st year-anniversary here in EB Duke MB!
  20. The brick-built shield is fantastic! Getting the right angled surface and the prints using the hands is really very clever. Great job as always TT!
  21. It's clearly a modified/made-up version of an in-universe vehicle (snowspeeder) with an in-universe character (rebel pilot) - so there really is no question about its validity here in the SW forum. Anyway, nice MOC, though the build is on the basic side (could use a few more details/finishing touches) and the front wings does look fragile.
  22. Amazing, simply fantastic! Congratulations on finishing this outstanding masterpiece, truly a work of art!
  23. Great job on this review of a unique and rare set LuxorV! Considering the year it was released, this must have been a cool set back then. Even up to now with all the specialized pieces and advanced building techniques, I could still appreciate the beauty of this brickbuilt Harley-Davidson police motorbike. The various elements are instantly recognizable and it even has the unusual 'partly-stacked' plates technique for the motor. Overall, I'd say this is an above average set that is a must-have for any hardcore LEGO collector.
  24. For a while there, I thought this was a Batman-themed MOC misposted in the Action Forum. But oh wow, I simply love the perfect usage of those curved slopes! No matter how big it is minifig-scale-wise, it fits the Action theme very well. Impressive work TM!
  25. Excellent job on these two high-quality podracer entries Oky! It's a shame you weren't able to enter Buzz's, which IMO is the better-built between the two (though I voted for Zurg's just for the heck of it ).
