Holy.....That is awsome. The two ships together are fantastic. I love the shape of the sides of the ship. The bow looks a little low to me but maybe its just the scale. Really incredible. I am thinking it might be time for the Redcoats and the Bluecoats to call a truce...there be a serious pirate threat in these here waters!

Is There an Upcoming Pirate Building Contest?
Commodore Hornbricker replied to Bricks's topic in LEGO Pirates
Martin - Blackmoor just had a little contest for his Port of Augustine Inhabitants group on MOCPages and the Pirates Matey! Group is having one now. Just for fun but you should join the groups as they have promised to have future contests as well. Not a lot of participation so far as the groups are new but it doesn't make it any less fun. -
Well they don't actually look out of place with the minifugures. I like lego with lego better myself but this seems to work pretty well to my eye as an alternative. Nice job.

I don't usually post on the SW stuff but this one really caught my attention. Great MOC. The interior space is awsome.

Very eye grabbing. The colors are very cool and all the various details are excellent. The minifigures fit perfect and the photography is great!

Awsome MOC. I really like that low slung roof design. It works very well on this building.

Pictorial Review - 6273 - Rock Island Refuge
Commodore Hornbricker replied to Lorentzen's topic in LEGO Pirates
I love this one. It has always been my favorite pirate hideout set. It looks good with all the black and it is fun to build, set-up and modify. I have plans to do a rebuild of this set like I did with my Passage Fort MOC based on Eldorado Fortress for the Imperials. -
PICTORIAL REVIEW: 6259 Broadside's Brig
Commodore Hornbricker replied to Scouty's topic in LEGO Pirates
I love this set for that angled yellow wall piece with the bricks. It's a classic for sure! -
Great review. I love this set but mostly because I got one about two months ago for $1 with the box and everything off a lady at a garage sale.

Which company makes better pirate-themed sets?

Any Idea When the Next Pirate Sets will be announced?
Commodore Hornbricker replied to Dr. Steve's topic in LEGO Pirates
Speaking as an American, we don't have a very well defined understanding of the regional differences within our own country. Stereo types of east coasters, northerners, southerners, west, south west, north west, you could write a whole book on Texas stereo types. It never surprises me that we embrace stereo types of the rest of the world. -
New BrickForge Products!
Commodore Hornbricker replied to Hound Knight's topic in Minifig Customisation Workshop
That's a nice crop of new products. They are all must haves for me! -
I'll buy them but I am not going to get too excited unless the sets are really good and have lots of cool parts.

MOC British Naval Store House (picture heavy)
Commodore Hornbricker replied to Commodore Hornbricker's topic in Pirate MOCs
Thanks Zorro. Always nice to get a thumbs up from the skipper! I have answered but I'll say it again. I don't have French troops. The bluecoats are Royal Navy in my little corner of the world. I used the Blue flag to emphasis that this is a naval facility and for the enjoyment of the bluecoat supporters. You did see a few bluecoats at their post in front of the store house. (see above). -
Nice scene. Take no prisoners!
