  1. It seems like we got so many WIP posts on shipd that are in progress and they tend to take a while to build, etc. and there is always lots of discussion, help and suggestions around design and many updates to the build so would it make sense to have a separate subforum within Pirates to house ships in progress and the descussions around them. I got to thinking about this as the erge to build a ship of my own has been growing and while I have lots of parts I don't have a lot of experience building big ships and will have to reach out for a lot of help once I begin. Just a thought.
  2. I think the discussion is keeping to the spirit of this topic but I do think while I get a big kick out of insulting eachother as redcoats and bluecoats we need to make sure we don't get into the personal. If you've read my posts enough you've realized I can't spell or type very well and I am a native english speaker with two university degrees. I just can't spell and I refuse to learn dern it!
  3. Vey cool. I like that volcano as well and would love to see a wider shot of the scene it is in. Wasn't Super taking his fort along with some other people to this. More pictures of the event would be great.
  4. I've got just three things to say: 1) AWSOME MOC with a funny story to go with it - Great job. I love it when a funny Lego idea hits me. Glad you followed it through. 2) Lets give the Bluecoats a break...They can't beat us on the sea or in the field so they have resorted to a propaganda war...We should respond in kind. 3) and this is for Green Hair... You couldn't even handle us as monkies ~
  5. I saw this on MOC Pages. It looks great. As I said there I like the guy fixing the roof. Your building has really gotten more sophisticated since I saw your first MOC...A few visits to Classic-Pirates did the same thing to my stuff. Anyway...great job keep it up...I know you will. PS - My combined British Army and Naval forces of 600 and my 200 artillary pieces stand ready to assist any British Port that's been threatend.
  6. Tyhe ship looks great. Are you planning on building it out of lego?
  7. I've seen this creation before a number of times. The layout is spactacular. The beach and the trees are my favorite part. The scale you used works very well. I have been working on a large project for some time now and I have often drawn inspiration from this scene. Truelly fantastic. Glad you have joined the group. I hope you come back often.
  8. Great episode. I don't think it will end well for poor Jake.
  9. Wow amazing work!
  10. Looks like someone forgot to flush.
  11. This just totally blew me away it is really beautiful. The curtains and the statue are gorgous. It has just the right amount of details and people. You have it set up so perfect. Does it have an interior?
  12. I have about 20 people working for me. I can have them all join EB and vote...What's it worth?
  13. It's huge! The busted up elevated roadway is my favorite part but the whole thing is just amazing. You have put so much detail into this display...it is fantastic!
  14. WoW...you did a great job creating a beautiful looking modern police building. it looks great in your town dsplay which is huge!
  15. That's interesting. I've never seen it in any of the stores in Northern California before. Cool concept though. I keep hoping for more new PAB parts with more pirates themed stuff.
  16. Check out this topic in the Castle forum Hanseatic Town by Kris Kelvin
  17. I'd like to see teletubbies, care bears or the wiggles as the enemy and you could pick your choice of speal forces units to mow them down.
  18. Way to go everyone! Congratulations winners! There were soooooo many great entries. Hard to choose a winner it was!
  19. Hmm...I didn't get too close because of the kids. There was one with a wink and the big slanted mouth. One with the orange mustache/goatee. One with a head band of some sort (maybe orangish). A guy with that semi-balding hair and an angry type expression. One with silver sunglasses and some other sort of non-discript city types. There were a couple with beards that grabbed my attention kinda rough looking that I've used for pirates and salior before. A few others that I didn't really check out. If I go back this week I'll take a closer look.
  20. Sounds very similar, although the one I was at had a pretty good assortment of heads. I tried to talk the guy into letting me fill a small cup with heads but no dice. I know another guy better that wasn't there today so I'll try again. There was an alright mix of torso's seemed mostly agents related with the orange, etc. Good selection of legs. The headgear had a few more choices than you described(mostly classic town related - Fire and police hats) and the tools sound exactely the same. It's a good start though. If they make money with this you can bet it will expand. Its the small scale stuff that is selling in general in this economy and the kids like to build their own and the mom's thing $10 is cheap.
  21. So I just went to the Lego Store in San Mateo, California today to pick up a couple things and they had this new area with bins where you can build your own minifigure. The had one bin full of a bunch of different types of heads, one with different types of hats/headgear, one with torsos, one with legs and one with weapond/tools. You can build your own minifigure with one item from each bin (3 Mini's for $10 - which seems high to me). They by no means had a huge diversity of torsos or other items but I thought that was a very cool idea and was wondering if anyone else had seen this.
  22. No worries here either. Thanks for the reply.
  23. Hmmm....That doesn't sound good.
  24. Ha...I love that. Dueling bands bands of marooned Redcoats and Bluecoats on opposite ends of the sandbar still building small scale military gear and waging a miniwar....Great idea! The Hatfields and McCoys meets Gilligan's Island.
  25. Here is what I could find. Hope it helps.
