I would probablly lose my love of the pirates theme if I actually had to choose. I voted forts and land because that's been what I have been working on lately but honestly you can't separate them from one another! What would pirates be without grand ships and why would the ships exist if not for land...

Really? Man I just thought if you forget Harry Potter for a minute Hogwarts Express sounds like something a pirate would drink. Oh well it'll have to be my own joke. Thanks.

Thanks! Well several reasons. Pirates and privaters and some merchants can be hard to distinguish when not caught redhanded. Plus the pirates bought the first round. Wow. Thanks so much.

Another masterpiece! The scale is great and all those details and little unique spaces. You did the CC proud. I love all the windows especially the large clear row running through the top of the interior.

Another gorgous building with such great details. I love these!

Well I've dropped enough hints and I am sure you have all been on the edge of your seats but the Capstan Inn is finally done. Some time ago some posted a few images of an online pirate game and in one of those pictures was a little building that grew in my imagination into the Capstan Inn (might have been Blackmoor but who ever it was thank you for the inspiration). The Capstan Inn took about a month to build and has a modular design. It stands three stories tall and is located next to my Naval Store House MOC in the Port of Brick Royal. The Inn plays host to the port’s middle class naval and military officers. The ground floor is home to the pub which has plenty of food, rum, wine, beer and gin. There are also games and entertainment. The second floor has single and double room accommodations for those with a bit more gold in their pockets and a desire for greater privacy. The third floor is home to the notorious Capstan Inn bunk house for those with less gold and far less modesty…basically they have been at sea way too long. Castle Gatehouse MOC
Commodore Hornbricker replied to I Scream Clone's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
Wow. I don't know how I missed this up to now. It is awesome. It certainly lives up to the incredibly high standard we all expect from you. The overall structure and architecture is beautiful and the details are wonderful. Lots of stuff that opens up. The planted carrots is my favorite detail. fabulous with lots of building techniques that still have my scratching my head. This will be one I come back to again and again. -
Vey pimp'in funny. You did a really pimp'in job making some pimp'in details like the pimped out waterfall and the pimp'in collection of statues. It has a real Las Vegas pimped out Penthouse Suite feel to it which I think you were pimp'in for. The only glaring whole is its all dudes but maybe D-Bill just pimps that way.

This is very very good. The goat head and that custom anchor are my two favorite elements. Great job!

Great ship! For a smaller ship you managed to pack a lot of nice little details into her. The piano ofcourse is wonderful but the color scheme and name are both really great.

Very nice design. I love the feeling it gives off of being so tall in the body. Welcome to Classic-Pirates!

Very cool MOC. I can't wait to go check out the other pictures. Is there a story that goes along with the MOC? There seems to be some interesting and different things happening.

I know! Weird.

nice job with the story. -
I just bought the 6280 Armada Flagship. I have questions!
Commodore Hornbricker replied to Chiles's topic in LEGO Pirates
Good deal. If I'd have seen that first it would have been coming to my house instead. That's the only ship I don't own from the pirates themes. -
This might be the nicest fort MOC I have seen based on the new set design. Great job in building this but be careful before you know it you'll be a pirate convert! The mix of SNOT and studs up works well in this.

Looking for some particular LEGO...
Commodore Hornbricker replied to Luke McAwesome's topic in Buy, Sell, Trade and Finds
I'll have to take a look. I know I own this set but I sold off a ton of technic parts a few months ago so I am not sure if I still have all the parts. I probably still have the instruction though to check. I'll PM you if I have it...if I do its yours for one shako and a musket. -
Good technique but I have to agree with others on the color of the hand. Also I think the new governor's toro would work very well as a match for your reference picture.

Congratulations Hinckley!
Commodore Hornbricker replied to Ricecracker's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Congratulations and good for you! Nothing better than competing for and winning a job you really want. Best of luck. Like others have said, I would love to see some behind the scenes pictures if that is aloud. Now for the real question we all want to ask...What kind of discount are you going to get and how do we contact you to place our orders? -
Welcome. Nice trucks you have there. Look forward to seeing your future creations.
