Proof of Imperial soldiers being french
Commodore Hornbricker replied to Emperor Claudius Rome's topic in LEGO Pirates
You got it all wrong. We put the fleur on the British naval flag to signify the number of French ships we sank that day! -

Second Battle of Beruna: Aslan's How
Commodore Hornbricker replied to SlyOwl's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
It's spactacular! I was flipping channels the other night and stoped to watch this exact scene when it was on. I love how the ground opens up and the fighting continues in the whole. The Satyrs (is that right) are great. You did a tremendous job pulling the scale of the battle together and emphasising the most important elements. As always your landscape and hills and rocks are brilliant. It really looks great and the idea of using this scene is very cool. I am sure you will do well with this one. -
I drink coke zero all day long. I am having one right now as a matter of fact

It is my all grown up version of 6271 Fort Eldorado. It has basically the same building footprint with a little expansion here and there. It is one yellow brick higher at the bottom. The modular design forces some modification. It obviously has completed walls and levels and the layout on the upper levels is very different. It is what I imagine Fort Eldorado really is. As I have said before in my little corner of the world Bluecoats are British Navy and Redcoats British soldiers so this isn't a betral of the Blues which I love but they are busy out on the high seas not cooped up in a smelly old fort. Thanks the barracks are my favoite as well. I was also happy with the addition of the powder magazine entrance on the lower level as that was a very late inspiration that was a real pain to install. The modular design is my trademark. I don't build anything that I can't open up and play with. Shhh the monkey's are sleeping off their hangover. But I did imprission the pirate iron hook as a memory of the battle and the brave monkey that ripped his peg lego off and beat him uncontious with it (I don't think that was so clear in the picture as no one caught that detail....but I thought it was damn funny. I like you already. You're funny and you have my dream Lego Building Labrartory. Thanks. I am a Lego freak but my interest runs totally and fanatically to this one theme. I buy other stuff but only to addapt it in. As a result I have a lot of classic pirate sets but I also have a huge inventory of additional pieces specific to the sets, especially Eldorado and Trading Post...so you'll see lots more to come in this flavor. I am planning the main fort to sit on six 48x48 plates to the east end of the harbor and if I can swing it, it will be elevated 38 - 50 bricks high on top off cliffs and bluffs....Don't hold your breath yet as that one is still rolling around inside my brain but it is finally starting to itch. I just got the final pieces I need for my naval storehouse MOC so I am finishing the details on that one this weekend and will repost it next week. Then I am committed to building the Capstan Pub next.

Imperial Trading Post vs Eldorado Fortress
Commodore Hornbricker replied to Piranha's topic in LEGO Pirates
I have two of each. They are both my favorites! You can not have one without the other. I think as sets go these two are possibly the best pair Lego ever made as they work together so well. -
Vig. 79a These images show Passage Fort which is one of the smaller fortifications in the system of forts that protect the waterways in and around the Port of Brick Royal. Passage Fort sits on the western edge of the harbor and its main function is to protect the inland waterway passage which is primarily used by smaller merchant vessels to reach the Ports inland commerce shipping area. Passage Fort's batteries consist of nine guns. Four permanently mounted and 5 mobile. The guns are capable of sweeping the entire entrance or egress of the inland channel. The batteries of Passage Fort were built to ensure that any attempted raid of the Port's merchant fleet and facilities or enemy cutting out expeditions will meet with a bloody and unsuccessful end. Views of the rear and sides. Images of the modular design and construction of the fort and the interior of each level. The fort opens into four sections that fit easily together which gives it a lot of playability and makes storage and future modifications easier. You can see in the main level of the fort an entrance leading down into the forts subterranean powder magazine. There are three soldiers on duty on this level of the fort guarding one pirate. There are several small details, muskets, pistols, barrels, containers visible in addition to the 4 cannons. The second level has an additional three soldiers, more weapons and storage containers an additional 4 cannons and houses the soldier's barracks. There are six bunks a small dinning area, storage for weapons and spare clothing. There are currently three soldiers off duty inside the barracks. Additional images are available on my MocPage MocPages I hope you enjoy this creation ~ Regards Commodore Hornbricker

Finally joining the ranks....
Commodore Hornbricker replied to Stacy_ToT-LUG's topic in Hello! My name is...
Welcome Stacy. I really like your Adams family house and the work shop. -
Very clever. I like it. Good job. I guess it really is good to be the captain. I'm almost half tempted to change sides but that training seems like hard work.

Always nice to find out that there are still far greater levels of insanity to achieve...perhaps one day! -
Awsome! Are you going to do a Redcoat version of that new Bluecoat banner. That thing is sweet...except for the French colors...

Commodore Hornbricker replied to Izzy's topic in Brick Flicks & Comics
Wow. That was some serious rapid fire story telling. Amazing job! I'd have to say episode 1 and six were my favorites. Will there be a season two? I hope so. You're very funny. -
Very cool. Can't wait to see the fruits of your hard planning/designing labor.

Very special creation. I love all the layering. The details are amazing. There is such a diversity of activity and imagination. What a fun build.

What do you shoot? I shoot a Beretta White Onyx O/U and a Benelli Super Black Eagle 2.

I like it. Your second version really seems to have captured what you were going for. Great job!

Monkey Battle of Passage Fort
Commodore Hornbricker replied to Commodore Hornbricker's topic in Pirate MOCs
Thanks to everyone for the nice comments. I have to give the assist to Blackmoor for setting up the group and the contest calling for "funny". It pushed me to try my first Lego comedy. It's kinda fun. I am usually a little too serious about my Lego. -
Vig. 78d Here is a funny scene I made for a MOCPages contest in the Port Augustine Inhabitants Group...You should all join this wonderful group. It's nice to see familiar faces in different places! Port Augustine Inhabitants This Vig (is that the right term?) is set on my new Passage Fort MOC (which I am going to dress up properly and give you a more indepth look at the fort and its interior later this week). Hope it makes you laugh...My wife said "What the heck are you doing" when she saw me setting it up.

Yes I always found Europe to be colder than the US. You have to remember to bring a jacket with you everywhere you go...annoying really. Welcome. Always nice to have a fellow Californian here. Psychiatric help is a given here. I can't wait to see some of your work.
